Big Hit issues official statement + magazine stylist clarifies BTS Nazi hat in question

Article: [Exclusive] "The Nazi hat is not BTS RM's personal item"

Source: Sports Kyunghyang via Naver

1. [+4,707, -277] BTS is suffering..

2. [+2,877, -99] Japan is bringing back an issue that happened four years ago and was apologized for and taken down. Their intentions are clearly obvious ㅎㅎ They were barely 21 year old idols who would've been deserving of hate for not knowing and maybe even being dumb but they realized their fault and apologized for it. What more do they want them to do? Be completely reborn as new people without faults? Turn back time to before they knew what that hat was? What more can be done? Especially when people have been so forgiving towards other artists who hold concerts with the rising sun flag?

3. [+2,593, -104] We need more articles like this that tell the facts instead of just copy and paste biased articles from Japan. Japan is trying to frame us with Nazism to pull down a leading group of Hallyu. It's a mess right now because they've completely made themselves to look like the victims of war right now. Our own media outlets need to band together and protect our own country's pride and expose Japan to the rest of the world.

4. [+2,280, -195] In a situation where several props and accessories are used in a photoshoot, how can an idol just barely a year into their debut be expected to go against the stylist and say "no, I can't wear this"... Enough with the witch hunting.

5. [+423, -6] When this issue happened with the magazine, the magazine issued a statement saying the artist had no fault in it and that it was the stylist at fault. They got rid of the issue and apologized. It ended clean and square. Why drag such an old issue out now? For what? To apologize for? I'm more surprised that Koreans are being played by what the right-wingers are saying, this is exactly what they would want.

6. [+269, -10] The irony of Japanese right-wingers who still use the rising sun flag in major cities during their anti-Korean protests sticking with a Jewish group and accusing BTS of being Nazis... and the irony of Koreans criticizing BTS for it...

7. [+406, -27] The comments from Koreans scare me more. Even if you hate BTS, now is not the time.. even if BTS isn't your bias group, that's just wrong...

8. [+222, -5] People, the magazine already clarified that the artist had nothing to do with it and got rid of the issue completely. Right-wingers are dragging it back now to screw BTS over and you're all falling for it.

9. [+204, -5] This is so frustrating. All of this was already taken down and apologized for so why is this back in the media? That desperate to take them down?

10. [+155, -2] I'm just surprised that a controversy purely created by Japanese antis to take BTS down is actually working... They'll do anything to taint BTS' image, to force them to apologize... I bet they spent so many nights up until their eyes turned bloodshot to go back through years and years of content to look for anything scandals... I'm really seeing this with my own two eyes. How could it logically make sense that someone of BTS' status be pro-war...?? How does it make sense at all that Korean idols born in the 90s are pro-Nazis....

Article: BTS reps, "We do NOT support war, the atomic bombing, the Nazi... we apologize for to those we hurt"

Source: Newsen via Nate

1. [+183, -18] This is a great statement with great clarifications. I like that they apologized to the victims, not the right-wingers, and specifically called it a 't-shirt with an atomic bomb image' and not the 'atomic bomb t-shirt', and mentioned that Korea was also affected by the atomic bombing, not just Japan. They also said that all of this was not the artist's fault but the agency's for not being more careful.

2. [+162, -13] Please support them. We have no reason to be scared of what Japan says. Please help the world find out about Korea's wounded history.

3. [+148, -16] Good job, Big Hit!! They clarified what they needed to and apologized for what they had to. It was realistic of them to take responsibility for not being more careful beforehand and not blaming it on the artists. I support their future.

4. [+21, -3] None of this was ever true, just forced by the Japanese right-wingers, tsk. BTS is amazing, fighting!

5. [+19, -0] I believe that they tried their best. Enough with using BTS for political fights. Please support them and let them pursue their music freely.

6. [+19, -3] Clean statement

7. [+16, -3] I think they said what needed to be said by a company. What I like the most is that they mentioned Korean victims of the atomic bombing. There was no way Big Hit could've gotten away without saying anything when even the world news is linking BTS with Nazis. Without a statement, they would've been dragged around no matter how many times fans tried to get it right.

8. [+15, -2] I'm feeling better with this statement after the past few days of emotional suffering because I was scared BTS would be hurt by this

Article: BTS breaks through political revenge... Tokyo is crazy for them

Source: Seoul News via Naver

1. [+393, -1] Japan obviously doesn't know what anti-Japanese even is if they think celebrating one's country's own liberation day is being anti-Japanese. Please don't use BTS for your own political games.

2. [+215, -18] I'm sorry to the Japanese fans but I really wish BTS won't promote in Japan anymore after this tour ㅠ

3. [+192, -0] There was a one-man right-wing protest right outside the concert hall who was being super noisy but Armies didn't even look at him, let alone anyone passing by... comedy... ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

4. [+104, -0] Jealous ♡♡ I hope the Japanese armies enjoy everything and give lots of love and have a happy time~~

5. [+15, -0] It's funny how Japan's demanding an apology and yet their own citizens are crazy for BTS ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

6. [+10, -0] BTS totally flipped the Tokyo dome upside down~ this is what the right-wingers were afraid of... the fan chants are the loudest I've heard
