What's next for JYP after Jun Somi's exit?

Article: JYP's new girl group, Jun Somi may have left but they still have 'dark horse' Shin Ryujin

Source: OSEN via Naver

1. [+2,635, -52] Look at them continuing to media play with Shin Ryujin after Somi left, seriously amazing

2. [+1,219, -61] JYP is playing so dirty ㅋㅋㅋㅋ stop using Somi for media play. There are so many people who have no idea who Shin Ryujin is ㅋㅋㅋ

3. [+894, -17] I'd be scared too if I was Jun Somi and I was more popular than most rookie idols but my debut kept getting set back. Attention isn't guaranteed and the farther you get from the public, the more you lose that attention. It's better for her to move now and debut faster than possible... Unfortunately, I don't think she'll find an agency as perfect for her as JYP ㅠ

4. [+462, -27] Shin Ryujin nugu??

5. [+361, -77] Stop with the media play. How many articles are you going to float about her? This just turns me off from her even more

6. [+120, -2] I'm just an ajusshi who doesn't care about idols but... I've noticd that they keep tacking on Shin Ryujin's name on Jun Somi's articles... It's really dirty how JYP is choosing to dispose of someone. Please knock it off.

7. [+84, -2] I still remember Somi crying when she was with Unni's about why she can't be in a group for a long time... I think it's cruel to put a young kid through that kind of emotional pain... Somi-ya, wishing you the best ^^

8. [+69, -1] These articles make it sound like JYP has Shin Ryujin so they don't need Somi anymore. Pisses me off. It's like killing an animal after the hunt is already over.

Article: Shin Ryujin, not Jun Somi, is the talent that YG-JYP praised to the heavens

Source: Sports Donga via Nate

1. [+401, -44] Look at JYP immediately media playing Shin Ryujin while putting down Somi right after she left... why do big agencies play so dirty? This is so dirty...

2. [+284, -26] Do people really believe Park Jin Young to be a good person? He's linked to that cult and he's always evaded scandals left and right. I see this as nothing but an attempt to get Shin Ryujin popular by using Jun Somi's exit ㅋㅋㅋ

3. [+78, -8] JYP is so dirty ㅋㅋㅋ all of today's articles were basically promoting Shin Ryujin

4. [+23, -4] I feel bad for Somi, I hope she finds strength and does well

5. [+21, -2] Stop using Somi

Article: [Exclusive] "Mutual agreement, support" JYP and Jun Somi's father reveal their contract termination

Source: Ilgan Sports via Nate

1. [+786, -108] You really can't tell the future of people.... Look at IU and how she pulled an entire agency up on her own after failing all those mid-tier auditions. One IU is better than 11 idols. JYP may be known as the least thuggish agency out of the top 3 but you have to admit that they can't give each of their artists the attention that they deserve.

2. [+668, -49] Why do people insist on trying to make it seem like there's bad blood between them? ㅋㅋ I'm sure they terminated it in a way that it's a win win for both sides. Stop the suspicions and give them support.

3. [+528, -50] I hope she finds somewhere else to spread her dreams early. JYP lacks the opportunities for her because they have too many people~~

4. [+67, -13] This is actually a tactic JYP has used for a long time. They always put out news about contract terminations with ambiguous information that makes people come to suspicious conclusions... They never put any detailed explanation and leave it to the public's imagination, which will obviously ruin the artist's image in the end. They refuse to get their hands bloodied....

5. [+54, -1] What I'm thinking is that JYP didn't think Jun Somi was a good fit for their new girl group anymore. Shin Ryujin and Jun Somi have different images and they had to throw one out and it ended up being Jun Somi. Jun Somi is not YG or SM's style so I'm curious as to which agency will take her now. I don't think there are a lot of agencies that are preparing girl groups at the moment.

6. [+40, -10] Park Jin Young doesn't seem greedy, though... He knows that a girl group with Somi at the center would do above average to daebak... meanwhile there's YG throwing out entire groups with 9 members ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

7. [+36, -3] What's cool about JYP is that they just terminate their artists while other agencies would refuse to let go. Jun Somi probably wanted to leave because her debut was taking too long. JYP should've put her solo while her popularity was at its peak. They took too long and then Somi got herself into that drinking scandal so there was no reason for JYP to hold her back anymore.

8. [+32, -17] I think Somi's young and rushing this... Her image has already been used up by the media and it hasn't been that long since Twice debuted. It's not plausible for her to expect JYP to put out a group just for Somi right away. Where is she going to go now? I feel like JYP would've been ready for a new group next year but she couldn't wait... too scared of being forgotten. I still think it's 200% better to stay in JYP and wait it out... I honestly think this is a bad decision on her part.

Article: Jun Somi vs Shin Ryujin, 'second stage of life' to be continued as rivals, not co-workers

Source: Sports Chosun via Naver

1. [+2,079, -12] Enough

2. [+1,617, -93] JYP's truly amazing at their marketing ㅋㅋㅋㅋ turning Somi into a fool

3. [+659, -14] Enough's enough, just how many times do they have to stomp down on this child?

4. [+235, -15] This media play...

5. [+185, -3] JYP is so cruel... They took a kid barely 20 years old and put her through all sorts of suffering only to terminate her contract and now they're using her to media play for their new girl group. They're the devils.
