An animal hospital in Jeju is under investigation for forcefully feeding a puppy under its care for a grooming appointment an electric cord behind the owner's back to purposely make the puppy sick and force the owners into putting it under surgery so that the hospital can extract more money from the owners.
Owners noticed after the grooming appointment that the puppy was throwing up and having seizures for two weeks before it was brought in for an x-ray at the same hospital. Owners requested to be in the same room when it was being performed but were rejected. They were then shown a false x-ray image by cellphone.
The hospital then claimed that they found something inside the puppy and recommended surgery, where they then extracted a 4-5 cm long electric cord from a puppy barely 1 kg in weight.
Owners found it suspicious as they knew that their puppy would spit out anything it considered too big to swallow.
