Kate Middleton gives birth to baby princess

Article: Kate Middleton gives birth to baby princess, leaves hospital immediately in high heels on day of birth

Source:
Yonhap News via Naver

1. [+189, -6] That baby was born with a crown in her mouth. Grow up beautifully, princess-nim!

2. [+158, -4] Imagine being born and you're 4th in the line for the throne..

3. [+130, -15] Moved colleges to marry him and even succeeded

4. [+54, -4] Well regular women don't have people to help them out at home once they give birth so they'd rather stay longer in the hospital for postnatal care but Kate would probably be more comfortable resting at her palace ㅎㅎ

5. [+26, -3] Western and Eastern women have different physical builds. The babies are the same size but Eastern women tend to be smaller so there's a lot more physical strain on the body to give birth, which is why I think postnatal care is a bigger deal in Eastern countries.

6. [+32, -9] Giving birth naturally is usually straining enough on your body that you have to wait a day before getting up and moving around. For her to be up and in high heels the same day means she doesn't care about the health of her body...

7. [+28, -7] I don't think postnatal care is specifically a thing Korean women do... if you grew a baby in you for 10 months, wouldn't it make sense for the mother to rest for at least a month after?

8. [+21, -2] Maybe she dressed up in heels to greet the cameras... it's not like she can show up in loose fitting ajumma pants. And who cares if she goes straight home after giving birth, if she stayed any longer, you all would be complaining about her spending tons on her hospital bills. I'm sure resting at her palace is better than the hospital anyway for her postnatal care.

1. [+134, -1] Imagine being born and you're really a princess ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+141, -9] The palace is probably more comfortable for her than the hospital ㅎㅎ and western women have different physical builds than us so they're able to give birth and go straight into taking cold showers, drinking ice cold water, etc... Korean women trying that would just end up getting them sick for the rest of their lives.

3. [+118, -24] But it's true that if you don't get proper postnatal care, you end up really sick later ㅠㅠ

4. [+41, -5] Wow, did her body not swell or anything? ㅋㅋ I couldn't even fit my feet into my shoes after giving birth ㅜㅜ I guess physical builds really do differ between Western and Eastern women

5. [+18, -1] Are men really putting Korean women down for taking postnatal care without knowing anything?? Westerners have wider hips with smaller heads so it's less straining for them to give birth since it's a smaller head fitting through wider hips. It's easier for them to give birth so they don't need as much postnatal care. Easterners have smaller hips with bigger heads so the women need a lot more time than Western women to wait for her hips to recover, hence the postnatal care!

she probably went out to greet the camera decked out because she can't look messy and will quickly go back to resting. I don't doubt the Kate and William consulted with the doctors first

  41. I believe that the younger the mother, the less stressful the birth is on the body. At least, that's what I've been told?

    ReplyDelete
  42. This is the job she signed up for, to look pretty and put together for the cameras even when her she's still in pain. I'm sure it helped that a team was there to style her. And for uncomplicated births in countries with advanced medical care, most women do get sent home in a day or less regardless if they're Caucasian or Asian.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Everything waity kaity's mother has waited for is finally happening..!! Congrats to kate in all honesty, I respect her hustle. From high school, to missing a year of school, to college and beyond she chased for william and finally became royalty lol

  79. ??
I only see "3. [+130, -15] Moved colleges to marry him and even succeeded" to be insulting in any way, the ones saying how the palace are probably more comfortable than a hospital aren't throwing shade at all... most people would think the palace is quite luxerious have the most relaxing and comfortable furnitures of asked for them, so of course kate would probably prefer her HOME over a hospital room. Wtf?

    ReplyDelete
  80. i don't think anyone would mind if she wore comfy clothes instead?

  83. My mum was cleaning the whole house the day before and the day after having one of my sisters, BUT then when she was having the youngest one, she was already in bed resting a week before having her and was in hospital 2 days after giving birth (also because baby sister wasn't well).
It all really depends on ones health and the baby they are carrying (btw both sisters were super small), can't really generalize Western women, as the same woman struggles with a pregnancy one time and/or has it much easier the next.

    ReplyDelete
  84. 5. [+26, -3] Western and Eastern women have different physical builds.
The babies are the same size but Eastern women tend to be smaller so
there's a lot more physical strain on the body to give birth, which is
why I think postnatal care is a bigger deal in Eastern countries.

    lol,this logic

Looks like it's about a writer named Im Sung Han. I think it's praising their work. Like writing parodies of dramas and stuff.
I think that's the overall gist of it. Sorry if this seems vague. Maybe someone else can better answer your question.

  106. i could care less about rep since i am Narcissistic my health and psychical comfort is above everyone and everything ♥

    ReplyDelete
  107. 40 weeks is how long a baby is in his/her mother's womb. Ideally, 1 month is 4 weeks and I guess people say "9 months" rather than 10 because women generally are only able to find out for sure that they're pregnant when they're 3-4 weeks along.

    ReplyDelete
  108. lmao i didnt even know she was pregnant. the first born kinda stole her thunder, but congrats to the princess

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  114. It's about Im Sung Han being funny/doing well/adapting well (the phrase used is "gets caught properly") on SNL Korea.

    ReplyDelete
  115. it's true though..? of course giving birth is easier if you have wider hips. asian women more often than not have smaller builds than western counterparts. what's wrong with this logic?

    ReplyDelete
  116. Its her job to look pretty an under control even hours after giving birth but wow, its still shocking! This generalization that western women can expel kids at the drop of a hat cuz they hve wide hips is stupid! Every woman wherevrr is different... heck, even every pregnancy is different for some women so yeah.. stop it!

    ReplyDelete
  117. They're mainly just mascots now. They barely affect our lives in any meaningful way besides a few traditions that have stuck around for ages that endere them to us and idk national identity and whatnot. Most people don't mind them. Queenie's cute.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I think the princess got a brunette hair so that is from Mommy Kate. But I fear for George's hair because he got it from Daddy LOL

    ReplyDelete
  122. Yes! But that is okay because the guy in the second movie is much hotter than in the first movie LOK

    ReplyDelete
  123. i've always been told the opposite something around "by the time you get to you 3rd or 4th they practically slip out on their own" lol
it sounds more likely to me too since the body has already done it before

    ReplyDelete
  124. Those rumors about Kate are just coming from women jealous of her for catching William's attention. Don't believe anything the media says.

    ReplyDelete

but, yes, i'm sorry, i could be wrong

    ReplyDelete

A month in a hospital?. I would want to leave the hospital at the minute. Hospitals are depressing. Women that give birth naturally have a fast recovery and most of them (at least in my country) go home the next day or two days later if theres no complications. But if everything is fine, why would i stay in a hospital for a month, being able to be in the warmth of my home with my loved ones?. Idk. The thing about the hips make sense, but is a generalization and thats doesnt mean the birth is easy either.

Btw props to Kate. To looks that gorgeous so soon after giving birth. Its not easy to pull off.

    ReplyDelete
  130. 6. [+32, -9] Giving birth naturally is usually straining enough on your body that you have to wait a day before getting up and moving around. For her to be up and in high heels the same day means she doesn't care about the health of her body...

Eh, I think this is her duty--sadly enough--to gave a good image of the royal family. Wearing a good dress, full make up, and high heels. People would understood if she wear flats shoes though, but it was the PR/Royal family decision anyway.
I think the Royal Family also considered those people who waits outside the hospital, craving for her royal highness showing their precious baby, I mean I heard a lot of people camp outside the hospital? Maybe after they see the baby, they could go home and gave her some rest she deserves (I don't think you can rest peacefully when hundreds people waiting for you outside)....

    ReplyDelete
  131. The take away from this....Eastern women need wider hips

  136. Asian women (statistically speaking) give birth to smaller children to accomodate their smaller frames. Therefore this argument that it is harderfor Asian women to give birth is utter bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  137. could you explain the bathing in cold water and drinking cold water thing in comment number 2? I never heard about cold water affecting a woman who just gave birth.

    ReplyDelete
  138. yeah it really is 10 months. I was born at 9 months and i was considered premature.

    ReplyDelete
  139. That is true (I'm a fifth child, so I have a second-hand account), but I mean that if you compare a twenty-year-old giving birth to their first to a thirty-year-old, the former normally wouldn't be as exhausted by the process .

    ReplyDelete
  140. :0 I'm sorry, I have seen you here and idk why I got the idea you were a girl. Sorry again.

    ReplyDelete
  141. red hair is a recessive gene I think? so it's pretty unlikely both kids will have red hair. I'm fairly suprised that George has light hair to be hinest.

  142. I am an asian. i have two friends who gave birth recently. The first one gave birth in the morning and her doctor allowed her went home already around evening. The second one gave birth in the evening and she went home next morning.

honestly i shocked too. But they said as long as their babies are healthy and the mothers healthy too. It is ok. it was ok for natural/normal birth. they said it will be different with cesarean.
