[Pann] Lay attends Japanese fan meet but not Korean

Pann: Screencaps of Lay's interview where he says his Japanese schedules are more important than Korea ^^

Hate on him only for the facts. The facts are that he did not attend EXO's 2nd album music show promotions in Korea and their fan meeting but did attend Japan's fan meeting.

Q. How did you discuss the matter of opeining your own personal studio in China?

Lay: I brought it up first. I hope to see my Chinese fans more, promote more often, and learn a lot more things. Of course, I hope to see my family too. I did debut in Korea with the opportunity given to me there but I never forgot that I was Chinese. Because I'm Chinese, I had this desire to be acknowledged in China.

(Fan comment: Sure, you're Chinese so I understand you wanting to get recognition there and thus you wanting to promote in China)

Lay: But honestly speaking, when I tried to discuss all of this with the company, my family didn't believe (it could happen).

Q. They thought that it wasn't something you could achieve, right?

Lay: They thought it was impossible.

(Fan comment: So your family held you back saying it'd be impossible but you kept requesting your personal company to SM and finally became your own Chinese CEO ^^)

+ Lay wishing Luhan a happy birthday in 2015

Lay: Ah, it's also Luhan hyung's birthday soon. I hope that he has a happy birthday and that everything works out for him. He was a very loyal friend during our time training in Korea together. We're brothers forever, of course. He also wished me a happy birthday on Weishin last year.

(Fan comment: He wished Luhan a happy birthday, what more needs to be said? EXO fans, wake up.)

1. [+216, -31] Fu*k, I'm disgusted, this pisses me the f*ck off

2. [+185, -4] It honestly made me uncomfortable not having him perform with the group on music shows... this album isn't even a mini-album but a full album and all because of his Chinese movie filming; is his main career a singer or an actor? If he's first and foremost a singer, he should only go into acting after his schedules as a singer are completed. He's sat out on music show promos to Korean fan meets... it'd be easier to count the times he's been on stage than not. I try to shield this but it's hard to when he attends everything overseas while missing everything in Korea ㅋㅋㅋ I just hope he's not bringing harm to the members..

3. [+144, -37] Didn't think Lay fans were around here but now that his scandal's blowing up, they're all popping out ㅋㅋㅋ Goosebumps... ㅋㅋㅋ

4. [+83, -2] I don't know about Korea but it's quite obvious that Lay thinks he's more superior than SM. No wonder he goes around talking about winning over SM and setting up his own company like he set up Samsung or Hyundai. And why should we understand him thinking of his Chinese fans as more important than his Korean fansㅋ; If I were Lay, I'd worry more about my pissed off Korean fans no matter how important my Chinese fans are. The current situation with his Korean fans is going downhill by the second and it's the Korean fans who raised EXO to where they are now and he doesn't even feel grateful for that and is sitting around in China like this.. no wonder fans are losing their trust in him and turning their backs.

5. [+68, -3] He wouldn't get this much hate if he attended his Korean fameeting ^^ And it's not like EXO's on hiatus in Korea right now, they're in a full promotion cycle so explain to me why Lay's in Japan and not Korea ^^ you can't because you have nothing to say

6. [+68, -3] So he proved it with his own mouth that even SM said it was impossible but he went ahead and made it possible anyway. If like the Lay fans are saying that all of this is for EXO-M's future, then why wouldn't SM allow it? Why would they deny Lay's request? SM's obviously being manipulated by Lay seeing as how they were forced into putting up with his request just a day before an EXO comeback that had hundreds of thousands invested into. Even Lay's family thought it was impossible... which can only mean one thing.. that Lay threatened them with his withdrawal but of course he has to tell the media that it's all for the Chinese market so that he looks like the nice guy.

7. [+63, -0] What Lay is doing is no different from what Luhan, Kris, and Jessica did, using EXO's name for their own personal gain in China.

8. [+51, -4] CEO Zhang, please stop latching on to EXO's popularity and just leave the group as soon as possible ^^ Stop wasting our time and just crawl out on your own right now. I know how much pride you have in being Chinese but don't make yourself out to be the hero in all of your interviews by saying you won't be leaving the group because it's hypocritical and gross. Just leave the group, it's for the best.

9. [+48, -1] First time I've ever wanted a member to leave the group.. ㅋㅋ

10. [+46, -2] He wants two birds with one stone ㅋㅋㅋ He'll lose popularity if he loses EXO but if he opens his own company, he gets his own personal profit while still making money off of EXO even while not attending their official promos ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Lay won't leave the group because he wants EXO's money too ㅋㅋ that's what pisses me off more, at least Kris and Luhan left clean ㅋㅋ what is Lay doing by latching on to EXO like this ㅋㅋ Even if he doesn't leave, EXO fans are already treating Lay like he doesn't exist and he'll probably get more hate than Kris and Lay because of all this sly preparation work he's been doing ㅋㅋㅋ Sigh, what goosebumps.

11. [+46, -2] One thing's for sure, all of this means that the group will not be renewing their contracts together. Who the hell would want to renew their contracts under such unfair circumstances when everyone's out for their own profit? EXO's lifespan will only last for as long as their current contracts and that's only for the next four years. SM can just debut a new rookie group to shift the fandom over to so they obviously won't give a crap whether EXO's lifespan has been shortened or not. As long as they can prevent any immediate losses will be enough for them, which means complying with all of Lay's demands.
