Police put sexual assault victim in the same car as attacker "by mistake"

A 21 year old man grabbed an 18 year old girl off the streets and physically attacked her in an attempt to sexually assault her. Passerbys reported it to the police once they heard her scream, causing the man to run away. Once police arrived, they left the girl alone to go chase after the suspect and finally caught him. The girl said she wanted to go home but police forced her into the same police car as the suspect, which is against protocol, for investigation purposes.

When asked why, the police responded, "Well, you can always make minor mistakes when you're working, can't you? And it's not like it put the girl in shock or anything. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again."
