[Pann] VIXX's N another victim of variety show scripts?

Pann: VIXX member getting hate for looking down on Yoo Byung Jae

Summary: On a cable variety show where celebrities go to companies to experience what it's like to work there, a scene in particular where VIXX's N (Hakyeon) and Yoo Byung Jae were working together at a lingerie warehouse caught the attention of a netizen.

Hakyeon showed that he was good at putting together mannequins, which led Yoo Byung Jae to say, "You're really smart." Hakyeon took then bragged about how he was the #1 rank at his high school. Yoo Byung Jae claimed that he, too, was #1 at his own high school, but Hakyeon refused to believe it and kept asking, "When?" in a tone that sounded like he was putting him down.

He kept pestering him asking him, "In high school? Really? Really? R-Really... you're not lying? Really? Eh, really? Really?"

Yoo Byung Jae then got kind of put off by how Hakyeon refused to believe him but Hakyeon persisted with the questions. Another cast member then said that Yoo Byung Jae had gotten a full score on his math portion of his college entrance exams, causing Hakyeon to ask once again if he really did in a put down tone.

Yoo Byung Jae confirmed that he indeed got a full score, to which Hakyeon said, "Hyung, aren't you a liberal arts major? What's the point in being good at math then?"

Yoo Byung Jae eventually just kept working without answering him because Hakyeon kept alluding to how he was probably smarter than him.

Netizens then looked up their educational background and found that Yoo Byung Jae is a journalism and broadcasting major of the prestigious Seokang University while Hakyeon's a musical major at Howon University.

Once the issue got out of hand and Hakyeon started reading all of the hateful comments on him, Yoo Byung Jae posted a Kakao Talk exchange between him and Hakyeon showing that they're actually close friends and that he wasn't hurt by anything Hakyeon had said.

In another episode where the members were eating out, the producers set everything up right down to the placements of their drinks. I understand that Hakyeon's tone in that scene can be heard as him looking down on Yoo Byung Jae but the episode was focused on them bickering back and forth and in another interview, they both said they liked having a lot to learn from the other too.
