1. [+2,070, -151] But I heard only otakus listen to K-Pop in America?

2. [+1,856, -72] You have to admit that K-Pop's got a lot of bubbles in it

3. [+1,796, -54] Let's stop media playing about K-Pop now.. if we enjoy our own music because we like it, then naturally it'll get popular outside of Korea. I don't know why we're so obsessed with getting acknowledged overseas.

4. [+1,344, -111] The situation's much like how we viewed kids who listened to J-Pop back in the day... kids who listen to K-Pop in America = otakus.

5. [+1,109, -42] I bet aside from Psy, it's only a small minority who listen to K-Pop

6. [+129, -10] On the contrary, Koreans are not listening to idol music but are going back to '90s hits... Just because K-Pop is getting popular globally doesn't mean the quality is going up with it.

7. [+120, -4] Well the CEO's in Korea, gotta give some lip service to this level, no?

8. [+92, -13] I like K-pop but I don't like how it's centered around idol music

9. [+61, -4] Like how you get treated like an otaku for listening to J-Pop, you get treated like an otaku if you listen to K-Pop in America ㅋㅋ

10. [+62, -13] Honestly, if our idols go to America, they're going to be viewed as gays tsk tsk

11. [+50, -3] I've seen a few Americans randomly find a few songs and say they're alright but I've never seen anyone actively search out K-Pop because they genuinely enjoy it. Psy's amazing for achieving that but idols are only popular in South East Asia ㅋㅋ

12. [+48, -4] I am so tired of listening to factory punch out songs from Tiger and Brave Bastards

13. [+39, -3] K-Pop being good music is a thing of the past... Back then, any song released by any group was considered high quality. But now... musicality has hit rock bottom and idols are all too busy competing to show an inch more of their skin with AV style MVs. In the past, the problem was deciding which good song to listen to... the problem now is that there's no good song to listen to.

14. [+33, -0] I browse the American news section at least once a day and I do remember Ladies Code's accident being featured in the World News Asia section... but the majority reaction in the comments were along the lines of, "It's unfortunate that they died at a young age but who are they?" This article is exaggerating how popular K-Pop actually is.

15. [+33, -1] If K-Pop is so powerful and influential, why don't we see any idols at the Grammy's? While young singers like LORDE are winning awards, K-POP idols are sitting around being controlled like drones by their companies.

16. [+32, -3] White people are always commenting on G-Dragon's videos calling him gay, saying he makes Justin Bieber look masculine by comparison ㅋ Foreigners think weird of guys wearing skinny jeans and make up.

17. [+24, -2] It's already been revealed that K-Pop isn't popular at all ㅋㅋㅋ Case for example, that Wonder Girls we all think did so well and got popular had to sell their American album for $1.

18. [+23, -1] I don't get how K-Pop can be popular when they don't even understand the lyrics

19. [+21, -1] I studied abroad in America 6 months ago. To tell you the truth, the only K-Pop Americans know is Psy, and even then they think Psy's just a funny Chinese man. Nobody knows who GD or EXO are and if they do, they wonder why they're wearing skinnies and make up ㅋ They have a gay style that Americans hate. I don't mean to hate on K-Pop but Americans can't differentiate between K-Pop with C-Pop and J-Pop. Even I don't know much about Korea's celebrities...

20. [+27, -7] Say what you will, we all know that in reality, K-Pop is really considered Gay-Pop and Bubble-Pop
