Taewoon criticized for tweets regarding Ladies Code being pushed on the charts

Pann: One celebrity's tweet who isn't pleased with Ladies Code at #1

Taewoon: Leave sympathy as sympathy... Something nonsensical is happening because people are so caught up in their emotions. Is this really what's best for them... It makes me angry... Interest is all the more beautiful when it's given when they exist... Why now;;.. Please.. just let her go peacefully."

After deleting the tweet: "They say the one with his mouth shut at least hits average. Let's keep it shut."

"As a peer, I apologize for the wrong way in which I expressed my upset feelings. I sincerely pray for her speedy recovery. Lastly, may she rest in peace..."

1. [+226, -8] It's because you have a mentality like that that you're not getting anywhere. Who does he think he is to say something like that? Block B's Jaehyo even asked his fans to stream the song to help Ladies Code win #1, what is Taewoon doing? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ It was Eunbi's wish;

2. [+220, -20] What he said isn't right. You can't control who gets interest in the music industry, who knew that this would happen to Ladies Code? What's so wrong with helping her achieve a dream she had while living? Would he rather that people act as if nothing happened and quietly continue living life? There's always a kid who thinks like him.

3. [+162, -45] He's not wrong but he should've written that in a personal diary. People are choosing to mourn in different ways and there's no reason for him to interpret it so negatively. I don't get why he's putting that on SNS;

Article:
'Ladies Code Eunbi' Zico hyung Woo Taewoon controversy over Twitter post "Leave sympathy as sympathy"

Source: TV Daily via Nate

1. [+580, -58] His dongseng jokes about flooding Thailand while the hyung ridicules a death caused by an accident. Amazing.

2. [+462, -24] Does he think that what he's doing is good for them? He acts so textbook.

3. [+452, -23] Zico's hyung is going around like this.. ㅡㅡ He's living in his own world ㅋ Why didn't people care about her when she was life? It's not like people can determine the market and decide who gets interest and who doesn't. Why is he so upset with people trying to help her achieve a dream she had before she died? He thinks he's so special and different just because his opinion differs from the majority. And of course he refuses to apologize...

4. [+62, -50] I wouldn't say he's wrong... Especially since he's seeing people sympathize only after she's died when they normally would've either not cared about her or left hateful comments.. Seems like a personal view.

5. [+52, -8] This is why you never went anywhere other than being known as Zico's hyung. Who even cares whether you're SPEED's Taewoon?

I kinda agree with this netizen though. Well, different people, different views

  2. I just wish the others members fully recover or don't recover at all . That's just ....

    ReplyDelete
  3. Dude.
She's dead and people were just trying to do a nice thing...
Why must some people always find something to criticize?
He might be a good rapper or whatever but honestly, what a dick.

    ReplyDelete
  4. why do i sense that he's pissed because speed hasnt gotten #1 yet //.\\. this is so embarrassing, i feel bad for zico everytime his brother did something bad. ;;;

    ReplyDelete
  5. But he didn't lie tho.

    ReplyDelete
  6. He can have his own opinion, don't get me wrong. But was it really smart for him to tweet those things when he knows it's a very sensitive topic? No, it wasn't.

    ReplyDelete
  7. People got them number 1 because it was EunB's wish.😒I actually like him, what a twat.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Dude dont you know that if you've got nothing nice to say you should just keep quiet?

    ReplyDelete
  9. i agree with him. totally agree
people always talk about death people and say such beautiful things and do things always when they are not part of this world..... BUT he shouldnt have say that because its a good manner of netizen to be with her . i found that action good

    ReplyDelete
  10. who is this dude and why is anyone checking for his random, insensitive, special snowflake tweets?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Its not wrong to state your own opinion, but if it wont do anything good you better shut ur mouth

    ReplyDelete
  12. 내 한국 이름은 태양입니다September 5, 2014 at 1:41 AM

For once netizens are coming all together to mourn then u'll just ruin it

    ReplyDelete
  13. I kinda get where he is coming from but it's just something he should have kept to himself.

    ReplyDelete
  14. someone is jelly? smh

    ReplyDelete
  15. People did something nice. Let's not make it into a huge controversy. The girl is dead and people were able to do ONE thing for Ladies code to show them they weren't alone and that EunBi will be missed.

    ReplyDelete
  16. lol is he jealous? pathetic ass human being

    ReplyDelete
  17. Social networks are not diaries.People don't need to know everything.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I understand his point of view but voicing it out like this is not smart at all

    ReplyDelete
  19. oppa didn't mean it!!!!!!September 5, 2014 at 1:42 AM

    2. [+220, -20] What he said isn't right. You can't control who gets interest in the music industry, who knew that this would happen to Ladies Code? This. It shows that people care about her and her wishes.
He's wrong, I hope Block B fans stay out of it.

  20. Better sympathy now than never sympathy

    ReplyDelete
  21. Invest in a diary dude.

    ReplyDelete
  22. ugh I hate when people always have to find something to criticize about a genuinely good act

    ReplyDelete
  23. OMG...what's wrong with him? just post it in your diary...all people is trying to make her wish come true. and you bad mouthing about it?? Ckck...this is crazy you know...I love your dongsaeng ZICO and I always try to respect his brother..but I can't anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Zico' brother and a member of speed

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yeah. I think people shouldn't be offended by his statement. People are humans too and humans carry their emotions, feelings and ctions in different ways.

If you wanna hate... Hate at the kysadrian guy for mocking someone's death

    ReplyDelete
  26. UGHHHH. The first time he's in the media for anything, it's for something controversial like this lol

    ReplyDelete
  27. I can't believe he say that...What the hell is wrong with him?

    ReplyDelete
  28. He's Zico brother right? Suck his name got tagged with him just because he's more well known than Taewoon.
And let them stream if they want like why do you care?

    ReplyDelete
  29. When will people realize that saying things on SNS have an impact? You are not just talking to yourself: your word diarrhea can be seen by thousands, perhaps even millions.

    ReplyDelete
  30. i actually only know him as zico's hyung LOOOOL.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Who is he again????? Why is his comment so relevant to be on news at first place??

    ReplyDelete
  32. but that's the thing, he's criticizing people for the way they choose to carry their emotions and feelings about the situation. it's an incredibly insensitive thing to do to people grieving.

    ReplyDelete
  33. so we cannot give sympathies to someone we pay attention only after she passed away?

    ReplyDelete
  34. i never actually cared about him but i knew i dont like this guy after i watched zico's 4 things show episode. its my own judgement so watch it if youre curious. now that i think about it, theres the incident with hyomin's song too. guess there is really a reason hes not getting anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  35. He's right. Why hate?

    ReplyDelete
  36. But how can he say it when eveyone is shock with EunB sudden death...everyone try to be one to make her dream come true. I Know maybe he is a little bit upset...but he souldn't post it on SNS...his image going to ruined for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Whether he's right or not... it's not exactly the time to talk about anyone's woes on who's number one on charts. Besides, it was ONE good thing we could do, so why not?

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't hate him but calling the efforts 'something nonsensical' just doesn't seem right. Especially more so when that's what most of us can do anyway now that she's gone and it's not often that the entire k-pop fandom stopped going at each others' throats to band together for something good.

    ReplyDelete
  39. We always see netizens call each other out for being hateful, nonsensical, delusional and such. Finally we see them band together to try and do something meaningful, a sign of respect and sympathy for those hurt by this tragedy. It's not the smartest thing and certainly not the right time to try and undermine that.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yeah I can see where he's coming from. Alot of young actors/singers get almost legendary fame after their death when no one gave them interest before. But this is so tragic and a death that could have been avoided. And Risae is still in the hospital. He shouldn't say anything. People are mourning.

    ReplyDelete
  41. its actually eunB's wish :"

    ReplyDelete
  42. I doubt the members of Ladies Code cares right now whether they're no.1 or what. They are mourning and 1 is fighting for her life. This digital ranking thing was one of the kindest gestures netizens and kpop fandoms did over a long period of time, i guess you can compare it to granting those wishes for the Make a Wish foundation. I dont know what he was thinking, someone died and then he tweets something like this, yeah music should blah blah blah, but is that really important right now. He might have his reasons but he's still a twat

    ReplyDelete
  43. what a dumbass insensitive guy.

    ReplyDelete
  44. It's EunB wish...everyone just want to make it come true...so why he is hating it?? upset about it?? He is out of his mind

    ReplyDelete
  45. He's being a bit insensitive, no? Some things are better left unsaid.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Why celebrities never learn? this is why some people don't have SNS accounts..some opinions are to be shared and some to be kept in order not to hurt feelings. :(

    ReplyDelete
  47. At least people are making eunb's dream comes true, doesnt matter whether its too late or not (it is better late than never rite?)..better than a nugu just post something about it just to show how "different" he is and get "fame" out of it..just write is on your diary or discuss amongst your friends dude.

    ReplyDelete
  48. One of the few instances where I actually agree with the k-netz. It was a beautiful effort to remember EunB and fulfill her wishes. There was no harm being done. What he said was completely unnecessary.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I can't say I disagree with him because to certain extent, he has a point. However, he of all people should know that one of the many reason the accident happen is due to overworked. It's not like Ladies Code didn't deserved to win. Idols should realize that we fans are powerful enough to make this happen.

    ReplyDelete
  50. what his freaking problem? people cant do good these days. the song being no1 was like a tribute to the girl who passed away. shut the hell up dude!

    ReplyDelete
  51. its a tribute to EunBi. he should have kept it to himself

    ReplyDelete
  52. 4. [+62, -50] I wouldn't say he's wrong... Especially since he's seeing people sympathize only after she's died when they normally would've either not cared about her or left hateful comments.. Seems like a personal view.

    !!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I see nothing wrong with people gathering to help EunB's fulfill her last wish. I don't understand and cannot empathize with what he was trying to say.

    ReplyDelete
  54. some ppl are just mean.... netizens could come together to support Ladies's Code but this guy could make such comment... shake my head...

    ReplyDelete
  55. Of course it would have been wonderful if people know about Ladies Code before and would have bought their music. But they didn't. They needed a reason to pay attention to them. For some girl groups these reasons have been sexy concepts, an appearance in a variety show etc. For Ladies Code it was the saddest reason possible. And when it became known that it was EunBi's wish to be number 1 of course people wanted to help to achieve her dream.
Only when people know someone exists can they pay attention.

    ReplyDelete
  56. The song "If I die young" by the band perry has lyrics that go, "funny when your dead people start listening". It's true. It's bittersweet for EunB but at least she got her wish fulfilled albeit a bit late. And netizens are right it's not like you can control the market. And for a 2013 rookie group, ladies code did pretty okay.

Another part of the lyrics of the same song goes, "her hair ain't white yet as she buries her baby". Her referring to the mother who has bury her baby.

Everyone should listen to the song it matches EunB's situation so well.

    ReplyDelete
  57. tsk tsk why are some nugus such dickheads..

    ReplyDelete
  58. Is he even relevant?

    ReplyDelete
  59. I agree with him! why you didn't listen to their songs when she was alive??

    ReplyDelete
  60. Omg can we at least spread some positivity? its a nice gesture by all knetz tsk

    ReplyDelete
  61. he's not wrong to state his own opinion / view but he's a celebrity .
everything he does , posts in sns , everyone will know

    ReplyDelete
  62. It's called tact. Most mature people have the sense to filter their thoughts and not put it on the internet for everyone to see, especially when the deceased isn't even buried yet.

By his logic, people should care as much as they did when she was alive as after she died. The problem is that he's ignoring human empathy as a response to a tragic event. He just ends up looking out-of-touch and a bit sociopathic.

    ReplyDelete
  63. He must get alone with his CEO so well.

    ReplyDelete
  64. What he said is not wrong if he keep it for himself. But post it on SNS is wrong you know....

    ReplyDelete
  65. That's why idiots shouldn't be allowed SNS.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Celebrities should seriously stop using public SNS. They always try to act tough but five seconds later they delete their tweet or message. Followed by a "sincere" apology...

    ReplyDelete
  67. Who cares. She's death! she's no longer human just a rotten meat

    ReplyDelete
  68. I understand his point of view(not saying I agree with it), but it wasn't the right time to share that opinion publicly.

    ReplyDelete
  69. are you human being??? I don't think so

What if someone say it when the one who are death is your family???

    ReplyDelete
  70. He is entitled to his opinion but god how I hate 'special snowflakes' like this kid. Like thank you captain obvious, no need to be a dickwad and hate on people trying to do something nice.

    ReplyDelete
  71. yeah, idols tend to ruin themselves on sns this way...

    ReplyDelete
  72. I strongly disagree with what he had said. That little gesture that he called 'something nonsensical' is the only thing that netizens can do at the moment which is to make Eunb's wish come true so that at least she'll have one less regret before she goes to a better place. Of course we should have given them the attention that they deserved before this tragic event but we can't change the past and they only way we can make it up to them now is through this gesture.

Idk about you guys but the way i interpret his second tweet was that either he meant that he shouldn't have said whatever he said in the first tweet or he was calling out those who responded to his tweet and asking them to shut up.

And it's sickening seeing how people on akp are backing him when what he did was simply wrong and insensitive.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I wonder what if it happens to his very own member, or worser, himself? It was a good deed, everyone helped achieve EunB's dream and there wasn't anything that deserved such negative comments. Karma isn't gonna be nice to you, so please be mindful of what you're going to say next time.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I have no idea where he's coming from. It was EunBi's greatest wish to see her song at no 1. And although she may not be alive to see it, the song making an all kill is a tribute, like a funeral. Also, some believe (like her mother who thinks EunBi won't part until RiSae wakes up) that there's an afterlife so EunBi can appreciate the song's ranking.
Why must people insist on detracting the value of a tribute made possible by public empathy? Is it so wrong for people that can't do more than even send flowers to the wake to try and express their condolences???

    ReplyDelete
  75. What an asshole, people were expressing their condolences and good wishes/prayers for the group by helping Eunbi achieve a dream of hers post-mortem and it's a wonderful thing. Would he rather they not care that her life was cruelly taken early or that Rise might follow her??

    ReplyDelete
  76. People should be mindful of the reality that, just because SNS is a place where you can "freely" express yourself, it doesn't mean that you need to broadcast every thought and opinion you have to your followers. There are words and intentions that are better kept or shared only with certain people and not everyone on the interweb.

SNS sites are public places where you can't just shout whatever that comes to your mind and claim that it's your opinion and no one else should give f*cks about it, especially when your opinions happen to offend people.

    ReplyDelete
  77. [+52, -8] This is why you never went anywhere other than being known as Zico's hyung. Who even cares whether you're SPEED's Taewoon?

    TRUE

    ReplyDelete
  78. he was just wrong for voicing out to the public. i totally get his point.

    ReplyDelete
  79. This is why idols should stay away from sns

    ReplyDelete
  80. its EunB wish for one of LC's song become no.1, even its too late. knetz help each other for granted her wish, why he's not appreciated that? i knew he has personal thought, but why on his SNS? when people free to read it. seems like attention seeker to me

    ReplyDelete
  81. probably he meant, "why didnt they do it when she's alive? "?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Plot twist : He is actually her boyfriend or really close friend, that's why he is upset because people finally give a shit about her or her group only after she is gone..

    ReplyDelete
  83. When will idols realize that saying things on SNS have an impact? It wasn't the right time to share his opinion about very sensitive topic like this.
Interest is all the more beautiful when it's given when they exist but late better than never. No need to hate on people trying to do something nice.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Exactly. What does he gain from saying this? Does he feel better about himself for criticizing how people are choosing to mourn? Yeah, it sucks that something so tragic had to happen for EunB's dream to come true but it doesn't matter anymore. The fact is, she's gone and nothing will bring her back. She was so young and she died in such a horrific and horrendous way as her members helplessly watched. What does he gain from telling people that they should have cared before?
I'm so appalled at what a tactless asshole he is.

    ReplyDelete
  85. He is totally entitled to his own opinions but now is simply not the right time to voice it out and it's not uncommon for famous singers, painters etc to be acknowledged only after their passing. It has happened before and it will continue to happen in the future. There's no changing that.

    ReplyDelete
  86. http://31.media.tumblr.com/595a4c6e105a13e47bb52c31f22b0741/tumblr_mp9thlVjWH1qdj09oo1_500.gif

    ReplyDelete
  87. i dont see how any1 agrees cuz for the most part the majority of comments were like "i wasnt a fan but" or "im sad i didnt know them sooner" and even some straight up said "which one is eunb". no1 is pretending they were a fan along , its just a nice gesture to make some1's last wish come true.

    ReplyDelete
  88. some people are too bitter about the world that they need a group hug once in a while....

    ReplyDelete
  89. Most idols do not realize that SNS are not a place for you to voice your opinion if you are a public figure. If they were to post a comment regarding anything, they either make sure that it's politically correct or don't post it at all. It might sound fake and pretentious but that's the reality.

    ReplyDelete
  90. aaaand this is why companies take away smartphones and don't like their idols to have personal sns... guys kids be dumb...

    ReplyDelete
  91. this is more about comforting the living & doing things to feel good about ourselves tbh. people are shocked and need to deal with that shock by banding together to do supposedly nice things, to give closure & to accept the her departure. how many of you don't gaf about your close ones but is crying on the internet about this.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I think he's simply lamenting the idea that people tend to only learn how to cherish after they lost it. While it's definitely touching to see everyone coming together to get the song to number 1, wouldn't it have been better if people actually gave this group a chance, instead of busily putting them down and calling them 'Wonder Girls Wannabe' while all the members were still alive and working hard for their dreams?

It all points down to a difference in perspective I guess. I don't think Taewoon has any ill intentions. It just... ironic that only when you are dead people start caring...

    ReplyDelete
  93. It reminds me of a line from The Band Perry's song. "It's funny when you're dead how people start listening"
At least, the people made an effort to make EunB's wish come true. Although it's too late.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I kind of understand his POV though. People should've appreciated EunB while she was still alive. I honestly don't think he was trying to be a dick about this. This is his opinion and others probably think the same. Sure, you don't have to like it but at least have some respect. Some of y'all are acting so immature its ridiculous. Smfh. All these insults being thrown at him...is that all y'all can do?? Pathetic.

    ReplyDelete
  95. http://cdn.niketalk.com/c/cb/cb43423c_9Mjr1xU.gif

like you're entitled to your own opinion but the timing is so wrong and the fact that he posted it openly especially being an idol srsly

    ReplyDelete
  96. Some people always have to be so extra. They are contrary for the sake of being contrary, just to prove they are above the mainstream. Being an asshole somehow makes them feel deeper and more superior to the sheep masses who feel caring sentiments.

    ReplyDelete
  97. No going to lie but the only song from Ladies Code i know before everything happened was their debut song and the only member i know was Risae cus she was in wgm for a short while. But i simply can't agree with his posts at all.

    ReplyDelete
  98. 1. [+580, -58] His dongseng jokes about flooding Thailand while the hyung ridicules a death caused by an accident. Amazing.

Shut up hoe, Zico did nothing of the sort. Simple misunderstanding.

    ReplyDelete
  99. 4. [+62, -50] I wouldn't say he's wrong... Especially since he's seeing
people sympathize only after she's died when they normally would've
either not cared about her or left hateful comments.. Seems like a
    personal view.

    I don't think he's wrong either...

    ReplyDelete
  100. "Interest is all the more beautiful when it's given when they exist" I agree with this part and I guess I understand what Taewoon was trying to say, he was angry because people only recognized EunB after her death. He couldn't put it nicely in words, instead he made a bad move by putting down the effort of netizens. But there's no need to hate on him, I'm sure he feels sorry for EunB as much as we do.

    ReplyDelete
  101. No wonder he's mad; he's the leader of SPEED. SPEED will never be a thing

    ReplyDelete
  102. i think a lot of other ppl felt like he did, but didnt say anything cuz folks would jump down their throat.

to say he is ridiculing her was too much. sometimes there is no right or wrong, everyone is just really sad.

as a lavely, i don't want to fight over something as insignificant as that

    ReplyDelete
  103. I think people are misunderstanding what is being said he is stating that if she were alive would anyone have paid this much attention to Ladies Code? Probably not.

So only when she is has passed away are people paying this group any attention when they should be receiving it when they are all fit healthy and happy.

Not only do I get why Taewoon is angry I agree. He should not have to apologise for what a good deal of us are really thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Ladies Code were a rookie group, they had only been working together for a year. They had reasonable popularity and their fanbase (LAVELY) was fairly big given their time in existence.
People unfortunately can't give attention to every new idol group out there but when something like this happens, they are united by their empathy.
Yes the attention is late but wouldn't the relatives and friends be somewhat reassured by the massive public support? I know Eunbi's mother received a lot of flowers by the public and seeing how she has such a generous heart, I'm sure she was touched by the song's ranking, the comments left in respect and the flowers sent.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Why is trying to find closure a bad thing? You're right, this is about trying to comfort the living and that's because the living need strength to continue. This is an attempt at trying to give that strength to the surviving members of the group.

As someone who has experienced death in my immediate family, I know how horrible it is to try and continue on with life when you have so many regrets about the way you acted when they were alive. Yeah, you know what, people don't always appreciate people properly when they're still around but it becomes irrelevant once they're gone. Those thoughts just become regrets and it's not wrong to try and forgive yourself if you want to continue on with your life. Sometimes it's a mistake that people have to make in order to learn to appreciate their loved ones. It's fucked up to criticize people for that.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I can understand what he means but there was no one who expected such a tragic thing would happen, If she was still alive she might have won a few years later but she can't anymore so fans and other alike want to grant her last wish. nothing wrong with that.

    ReplyDelete
  107. "Interest is all the more beautiful when it's given when they exist"
That's actually wise words though. Having an unpopular opinion doesn't mean you are dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  108. he actually has a point i respect ladies code and i feel sorry for what happened but its true that nobody noticed ladies codes before her death face it why didnt you all made their songs go number one when she was alive? :/

    ReplyDelete
  109. Worthless. Only people who have the ulterior motives while speaking behind niceties would say shit like this. It was her dream. Fans and the K-pop fandom are trying to make it real and make it last. What was so wrong about that?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Seriously? I get wishing that EunB had succeeded like this while she was alive, but he's an asshole to be posting these nasty comments on SNS. Just let people do that one nice thing for her, damn it.

    ReplyDelete
  111. they did not give a shit about her
when she was alive, what's the point now.

    ReplyDelete
  112. it is the right thing to do for the remaining members and their family. it is a bit iffy if some people are just doing it as a collective mass, because they want to be a part of a cause and to feel good about themselves for doing a supposedly meaningful thing, while they ignore their close ones irl.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Who the fuk is this nugu? Never even heard of his group b4

    ReplyDelete
  114. People are doing it because they feel sad that someone died. Death is sad. Death makes people feel helpless and hopeless regardless whether you knew the person or not. The rest of that argument is irrelevant.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Hope when he die that he doesn't leave any unfinished business or nothing on his bucket list and he insists no one does anything he would have wanted doing.

It's called a dream, dipshit, and you should be awed by the humanity of people coming together to fulfill the one thing she wanted. Asshole.

  116. He's not completely wrong but at the same time his pretty close minded and dumb.
Does he not know people are just fulfilling Eunb wish, there just doing something nice and He is completely dumb to put this out in SNS especially since it's a sensitive topic.

    ReplyDelete
  117. The point is to fulfill one of EunB's last wishes. I'm sure netizens would do the same thing if one of HIS last wishes was to have one of Speed's songs to achieve an all kill. Just saying..

    ReplyDelete
  118. who is he?? sorry.. Is he an idol too??

    ReplyDelete
  119. I find that he is not wrong as this his personal view. Everyone thinks different way. He also pray for eunb. So why make the fuss? Why muz he think the same way as everyone ? Perhaps , he didnt know that was eunb wish. If he knew, maybe he tweet this is bc he find that there is no point of getting 1st when she was gone and when this accident happened.

  120. I get what you're tryyying to say, but honestly, for so many K-pop fans it's also sort of like a splash of water and a reminder that idols ARE humans. We sit here and treat them like they're immortal and are always criticizing/watching/prasing/etc their every move. But then something tragic like this happens and we're brought back to reality and we remember that they're human just like any one of us right here. So we just want to do something in return, as little as it might be, to respect their greatest wish and to show our mourning in our own way. Yeah, it might seem over the top for people we don't even know when we have our own family right here with us, but it's just... a way to deal with all of this right now. It was so shocking, coming out of nowhere, and I, and probably lots of other people, feels like it's really surreal right now.

  121. got a point but should've worded it out differently

    ReplyDelete
  122. he's right that people have a morbid fascination. is going up on the charts really important right now? it doesn't do anything for the girls, it's people feeling good about themselves for something trivial.

it's the same thing with Michael Jackson. while he was alive black folks turned their backs on him, and white people made jokes about his pedo lifestyle. but he's gone and all of the sudden all these millions of people were "always fans"

were these people all fans before? getting interested in a

girl group surrounding an atrocity is the lower parts of being human, not the higher parts

    ReplyDelete
  123. not trying to be rude but its because i don't even know, is he even relevant in korea? if he isn't who wants an irrelevant comment from the peanut gallery? is fans doing this as a dying wish for the girl who lost her life and her members that serious. he mad cause he aint ever win #1? #shadeallaround

  124. You're right, the song fits this situation so well. I've got tears in my eyes. :'(

  125. I'm gonna just assume your trolling based on that second bit.

    ReplyDelete
  126. he has a point but this wasn't the time should have said it much later without linking it to a situation or a person.

  127. "Attention is something that's more beautiful when you give it to them when they exist" (Y)
    Don't say the fact Taewoon!

    ReplyDelete
  128. But in the eyes of netizens anything you said that could be viewed negatively is dumb pr wise. Idols are all about image and perception it's not about who is right and wrong. You ride the public wave

    ReplyDelete
  129. What he said are true, but he post it in wrong timing.he should post it about 3-4 weeks later.I doubt people are really care about ladies code after this matter slow down

    ReplyDelete
  130. there are a lot of girl groups. ladies code was a group that only debuted in early 2013, but even so they were still pretty popular for being less then 2 years old as a group.

    ReplyDelete
  131. can someone explain to him the word tribute pls

    ReplyDelete
  132. Tbh I kinda agree with him.

    ReplyDelete
  133. at the end of the day there are people who are genuinely sad, and there are those who just want to feel/look good and to put meaning in their lives. i think the guy in this article is talking about those people.

    ReplyDelete
  134. While I do get his point and to some degree agree with him, his timing was completely insensitive. She just died, I don't think now is the time to criticize people's efforts to make her one dream come true, let everyone mourn the way they feel and this is one thing they feel like they can do for her.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I had no clue who this guy was till i read the commentd below and just now know that this is Zico's bro. I get that he might be mad that all of this is happening because of her passing, and yes thats what fans should have done in the beginning, but this was something her fans as well as fans from other groups wanted to help achieve as her last wish and gift. And it is even more touching because fans of kpop are reuniting to show ladies codes to have strength and to send EunB without any worries. He shouldnt even have tweeted that in the first place as this is a very sensitive situation for her fans and those who knew her. Plz just dont bother to say anything anymore & just work on making urself be know other than Zicos bro

    ReplyDelete
  136. idk i don't think that's sociopathic.. he's clearly feeling sad and heavy over this

    ReplyDelete
  137. i think all he was trying to say is something along the lines of show your love and appreciation while they're still alive, it's a valid point but he unfortunately expressed it in the wrong time and place

    ReplyDelete
  138. actually.. me too.. even before I knew abt this news, I've tweeted "why it's now, when she's gone. Do we have to wait till someone gone to appreciate what they've done." But I also have thought "better late than never". So.. kinda 50:50 for me to state whether I'm agree or not =_=

    ReplyDelete
  139. It's his opinion and I do get his point. In the end people are all different and they deal with death or sending the death in diff. ways. In this case the netizens even though it is late decided to unite to help Ladies Code reach #1 as a tribute and also to fulfill EunB's wish. And I do get what Taewoon is saying that at the end they are only doing this because of sympathy and that it would have been better if they have done this when she's alive.

His wrong is that he posted this at a very sensitive time. EunB is still on her funeral and RiSe isn't even conscious yet and she's still in critical condition. Of course people are still sensitive. There is nothing wrong in voicing out your opinion but he should have thought of the timing of his post.

    ReplyDelete
  140. They debuted last year and were slowly gaining more attention, success doesn't often happen overnight. They have a sizable fandom, but not super huge so we could only do so much. He was completely in the wrong for posting it like that especially when we're still mourning her & she hasn't even been buried yet.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I guess its cool, its just sad how
    everyone started caring only now.

    ReplyDelete
  142. The timing isn't right and he knew it. He may not be completely wrong, but there's a time for everything.

    ReplyDelete
  143. People are not upset because he was speaking the truth, they are upset because he is a tactless asshole. Sure people may not have known about LC before the accident but who is this guy to go and tell people how to feel. Please get off your high horse, who are you to say that LC's accident is a trivial issue in the grand scheme of things. Each tragedy affects people differently and people are welcome to pay tribute to the deceased in their own way without the approval of others.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Ladies Code was reasonably popular and had fans. Do you expect everyone to care about and become hardcore fans of every rookie group out there? I'm tired of people saying "Why didn't anyone care when she was alive!!!!" It's not like EunB and Ladies Code were some outcasts who were turned away and stepped on.

I acknowledged that LC was a talented group but their songs were not my taste and aren't now, but I gave a few of them a listen in my mourning for EunB before I moved on. What is so wrong about that?

    ReplyDelete
  145. I think there's quite a few ppl thinking the exact same thing as him, but its not something you say out loud.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Just gotta point out that if it was a female idol, no one would dare call her a bitch. Cuz yeah, apparently, double standards aren't only in favor of men.
