1. [+335, -37] He already said so himself that he has a minor role. The article makes it sound like he marketed it as a huge lead.
2. [+275, -40] Many Asian actors start off the same way, what's wrong with that?
3. [+152, -28] It's an article to bait controversy ㅋ
4. [+19, -2] Whether he has a large or minor role, what's it matter if he was cast for the Asian audience? How can anyone hate him for trying to broaden his experience? I think it's better than some stars who rely on their name value and don't try anything more than that. Koreans only judge and praise someone if they achieve something big without realizing that there's a process that goes behind every great achievement. It's all those small experiences that come together to create that achievement, unlike stars that randomly hit daebak off of luck. I don't particularly like Rain but we need to learn to respect someone when they make the effort to improve and advance.
5. [+17, -4] Rain already said before the movie's release that he tried his best despite his role being minor...
6. [+17, -5] Just a few years ago, we could've never imagined a Korean actor advancing into Hollywood. I think Rain did a lot in breaking open that door... haters don't want to recognize that effort and keep comparing him to other actors who are doing better. We need to differentiate between hate and criticism and separate some issues that aren't related to other issues.
