Media demands further clarification from YG

Article: The 'trust' has been broken with Yang Hyun Suk for his bias to Park Bom... We request additional clarification

Source: Sports World via Nate

1. [+681, -43] It was all a lie ㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+642, -50] Instead of being biased for her, he should've admitted her fault and put her in reflection. Why would he talk about how she does't smoke, drink, or go clubbing ㅋㅋ Why would anyone believe it? ㅋㅋㅋ Keep writing that novel in your head and give us a real clarification ㅋㅋ What're you going to say now? Oh yeah, clarify her age too ^0^

3. [+604, -43] Bye, YG... Whatever happened, a fault is a fault. Stop trying to come up with rushed lies and making fools out of netizens and fans and admit to her mistake.

4. [+54, -0] Nate is the only one putting up Bom's articles. Daum and Naver don't even have a line about her.. is this what they call media domination? I guess YG couldn't get in control of Nate. It's pitiful how they're trying to cover up a crime through money.

Article: Park Bom, how old is she really? "If she was in high school in '98..." suspicions grow bigger

Source:
Mydaily via Nate

1. [+1,487, -64] Her age is not the issue here. She pretended the drugs were jellies.

2. [+1,405, -94] Surprised, surprised, and surprised once more that Park Bom could be 36 years old at most ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

3. [+1,164, -56] Her graduation photos ㅡㅡ I remember her fans claiming it wasn't her because the ages didn't line up and now YG went and screwed it up by trying to do media play to garner sympathy ㅋ

4. [+146, -21] What's scarier is that there's a higher chance about her lying about her dead friend. In the 1998 article, Park Bom is 17~18 years old. If you look at the article she claims was her dead friend, it's not Park Bom's friend but a 14 year old player from the opposing team who lives in New Hampshire. She's using someone's death to get sympathy.

Article: [Exclusive] 'Park Bom Drugs' Suspicions on YG's clarification... "Long term prescriptions difficult to receive in America"

Source: Segye Ilbo via Naver

1. [+539, -44] I support you, journalist. These articles should be on the main page.

2. [+538, -46] Segye Ilbo is pissed off at your lies, YG

3. [+468, -41] Why isn't Park Bom on the main news page or search rankings? The shield for this criminal is amazing

4. [+417, -35] I support you, Segye Ilbo. Park Bom's disappeared from the search rankings and her article's not even on the main page.

5. [+395, -28] It's weird how you can only search Park Bom's news by searching Segye Ilbo because it's never on the main page or the ranks...

-

Article: [Exclusive] The 'clarifications' by prosecutors on Park Bom's drug scandal, nothing but contradictions

Source: Segye Ilbo via Naver

1. [+427, -31] Why is this article being pushed off the front page?

2. [+403, -41] I wonder how YG's loyal fans will shield this

3. [+382, -34] I wonder why Naver isn't featuring this on the main page

4. [+315, -25] Segye Ilbo has put another journalist on the case. They seem to want to stand up against the prosecutors.

5. [+278, -33] Fangirls are so stupid

    I need 2015.

  7. But if she's born in 1984 she was 14 in 1998. Where's the issue about her age?

    ReplyDelete
  8. She's not in trouble with the law and that's all that matters to me.
She could be 50 for all I care.

    ReplyDelete
  12. YG's first clarification did more harm than good. I'm tired of this already. I just hope this doesn't jeopardize 2NE1's career as a whole. Negative press spreads like wildfire.

    1998-2014 - 16 years
    14+16= 30
So do Knetizens need maths lessons or...?

    UNDERSTAND?

    ReplyDelete

Which article does it say she's 17-18??? The Segye Ilbo one? Can't they do basic math themselves?

    ReplyDelete
  28. i think they're going by the fact that she was a sophomore in 98 according to that soccer article and trying to determine her age that way..

    ReplyDelete
  29. Korean 'journalists' keep surprising me with how shitty they are... Did they really release an article with the title "we request additional clarification"? LOL. This is such obvious shit stirring.

Journalists are just desperate to keep it alive a little longer. YG knows further clarification will only fuel the flames. This went from 12k+ upvotes to barely a 1000. Give it up Knetz.

    ReplyDelete
  30. YG should've shut up from the start. YHS lied so much in his statement, you don't know what's true and what's false anymore. Bom only got sympathy from her fans but her situation actually became worse. I guess she'll end up in the "same old" section soon enough.

    ReplyDelete
  31. These k-netz deserve an award

    ReplyDelete
  32. Someone sucks in math more than me

    ReplyDelete
  33. it's a joke, because many ppl keep saying that since previous scandals, just in case you don't know

    ReplyDelete
  34. unfortunately she's a celebrity, and exposure of ones personal life comes as a price for being famous, so just deal with it

    ReplyDelete
  35. But it's possible to be friends with anyone in the opposing team.....

    knetizensss... *face palm*

    ReplyDelete
  39. Comparing these to the 1st article published and the upvotes of them to today's one...............

    ReplyDelete
  40. Sorry but why can't a 14 year old and a 17 year old be friends? Where's the logic behind that.
Honestly they're just using this scandal to dig deeper and to find proof for whatever they want to belive. Just let the police take care of it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. If the prosecutor's themselves found her not guilty what else is there to say? what more clarification do you want? seriously let it go, knetz just want her to be ruined that's all they could care less about the crime committed they just love seeing idols downfalls

    ReplyDelete
  42. Don't they even have a life to deal with in the first place? Why are they so hungry over someone famous' life and wait for it to be ruined? -____-

    ReplyDelete
  43. lies about her age? what lies? the only lies I would worry about is her trying to get out of trouble with the law but the prosecutors themselves said she is innocent. YG lying about her age, YG lying about how she doesn't go clubbing. Whatever. As long as YG's not trying to be above the law then I don't really care.

    ReplyDelete

Way to twist the 'facts' to suit your needs...

Her grandmother allegedly told the detectives Bom(or Bom's mother) told her the medicine were diet pills, but this in itself proves jack shit. Bom likely just made the 'diet pills excuse' up either

    1. not to go through the pain of explaining it to her grandmother. It's not like old grannies would really know wtf he medicines are for

    2. not to make her worried

Furthermore, she was already cleared of suspicion 4 years ago and it was PROVED she used the drugs for her own purposes only so whether she tells her grandmotherpills are candies or oreo buiscuits is nobody's business.

A bunch of pressed netizens who can't even do basic math stirring up shit for nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  79. This is actually also one of the issues, after all these facts are revealed, why was she just let go with no charges at the very least? I mean she tried to pass them up as jellies, obviously there is bad faith on her part for this matter. If she just declared them as prescription drugs then I would more likely believe her. Can't help but think that someone was paid off to let her go.

    ReplyDelete
  83. if they trying to figure out her age by the fact that she was a sophomore, then she would be 15-16..not 17-18. I honestly don't think they know the age system for the US schooling.

  85. You're 17 in korea in first year of high school and 19 when you are graduating

    ReplyDelete
  86. Other sites don't care about this issue anymore but apparently there are still a number of people who's trying to distract themselves from their own personal and government issue and would rather bad mouth someone and pick on them. Does this boost their self esteem? probably. Go on distract yourself from the realities of your sad lives. I hope someone burst their sad bubble. Bom has the support of a lot of people and have achieved many things despite her past trauma however the poor loser who's still pressed about this issue is locked up in his/her dark room w/ only his virtual existence to live for. Go out. There is life outside your room. interact with people maybe then you'll know of empathy and sympathy towards others.

The reason there's suspicion over her age is because one of the news articles date says 1998 and it says Bom was a sophomore. That would make her around 17/18. But Bom was born in 1984. That means she would have been 14 if her given age is correct. So either the newspaper messed up or Bom lied about her age.

    ReplyDelete
  112. This just shows that knetz can't do maths for shit. 1998 in highschool (for the US)= 14 years old. 2014-1998=16. 14+16=30. What more do they want? Clarification? They will never be satisfied. It's a never ending cycle. I'm scared that it'll be like the t-jinyo case where no matter how much evidence is given, they refuse to believe it. And about her friend...friends come in all ages, shape and sizes. smh at these people. Move on knetz. Park Bom, fighting!!

  133. Why should YG release a clarification for 1000+ pressed netizens when 12,000+ believe her and are already done with this story? lmao, try harder netizens, try harder.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Snow white was 14 yrs old in this movie. Let it sink in

    ReplyDelete
  135. but 14 is the age for sophomore...in the US.

    ReplyDelete
  136. And I don't care about her age!

    ReplyDelete
  137. "Just because she's a celebrity does not mean she doesn't deserve her privacy"

that's very healthy opinion and just opinion, but the world isn't fair, and never will be... and you have to be an idiot to believe that you will keep your private life to yourself, when you become celebrity, that's just how this works, and nothing will change it

"This is just one of media's witch hunts and netizens are joining in"

it's the other way around ;p

  138. My faves got all hates from Knetz by doing nothing. Just bcs all they did is being a singer with SEXY concept since they debut. :'/

    ReplyDelete
  139. They know damn well they don't want anymore clarification because they're not gonna believe it

    ReplyDelete
  140. Yeah I know, sometimes people just believe what they want to believe ignoring blatant facts that may prove them otherwise

    ReplyDelete
  141. I know that if Bom actually smuggled drugs then that's like really bad, but lying about someone dying? Um.... that's like on another level

    ReplyDelete
  142. What's the point of demanding further clarification from YG when they wouldn't believe him anyway? *smh*

    ReplyDelete
  143. I really thought this scandal was over....

    ReplyDelete
  145. One thing to add, even if the public wants to inquire more about the investigation...it's closed. This whole thing is so convoluted, what do they expect Bom to do? They can complain, but it happened and now it's in the past. Perhaps it's my bias towards Bom, but this is getting out of hand, creating up stories on baseless suspicions. The age fiasco is really scraping at the bottom of the barrel.

    ReplyDelete
  146. In what state? I was 14 my Freshman year

    ReplyDelete
  147. Sooooo when's the next scandal? I thought they're gonna release someone dating or something. I'm mentally prepared for that.

    ReplyDelete
  148. That was NOT YG it was allegedly a random YG Entertainment rep but it was prolly just made up the whoever reported the story. YG himself never commented on Minzy's nose.

    ReplyDelete
  149. they're butthurt because they believe she lied

  153. the price you pay for being famous

    ReplyDelete
  154. you don't know that, I don't know that. So stop making assumptions. The case is over 4 years ago. Move the fuck on!

    ReplyDelete
  155. C'mon. Are you now saying YG's employees go around writing random statements without the approbation of the boss? Use your head, please.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I believe most places (gonna use Japan and to a smaller extent Korea as an example) have three years of high school so when you start high school you would be 16.
While in the US you would be 15/16 in your second year of high school.
So during the first year of high school /in the US/ someone who is 14/15 would be in their last year of Junior High if they were in Japan or Korea.

    ReplyDelete
  157. true and the person who started the rumor about Tablo was just a pathetic old man who's probably jealous of Tablo's success whilst his poor sorry existence. Jealousy is like cancer it eat's your inside and it makes you the worst person you can be. And Tablo didn't know the old fart and he fabricated bullshit about Tablo relentlessly not caring if he ruins his life just because his own life sucked. I think it's the same for this issue. A flop journalist trying to make hot news when 4 years ago it didn't even fly. Are they going to end this attack once Bom get's a nervous breakdown? i think it's pretty clear who the are monsters in this picture.

    ReplyDelete
  158. that's how this industry works, everyone knows the truth, but they still need to keep their image

    ReplyDelete
  159. on top..what top? like your idol is not even in the top 5 on any chart except #4 on melon? pffft PLEAZZe

  160. KNETZ are REALLY STUPID??AND MEDIA AS WELL.. PROSECUTION ALREADY CLEARED HER NAME..SO WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS AGAIN??

  162. Mine as well, I don't need them to get anymore because their whole comeback was one thing after another. I just hope no other group has to deal with all that in such a short period of time

    1. They wouldn't care anyways, statement yes or not.
    2. WHO CARES ABOUT HER AGE GDI.
    3. Mental Health in Korea is a taboo - of course she would hide it as jellies.
    4. Image you are standing on the field and someone dies, friend or not, you're bound to be traumatized.

-.- Thought this was over. This is more like a witch hunt.

I doubt YG paid the other 2 newsstations; they are probably too afraid to join in on the witch hunt and later on everything comes out as lies and they get sued... Mhm~

  164. If Bom was Born March 1984 in Dec 1998 she would be 14 years 8 months in American age which is just right for a sophomore in the USA meaning grade 10 in the USA.

    ReplyDelete
  165. different states have different rules on when you are allow to start school like you're birthday and the year you were born. for example in GA, if you were born BEFORE Sept 1, then you are on "track" of school. But if you were born AFTER, you have to wait the next school year (fall) to enter.

There also the case where some students were allowed to skip a grade (or two) because they were far in advance. I've actually had a few friends that got to skip 2 grades level.

Then again..Bom was in '98 so schooling could've been different. Point is...you can still be a sophomore at the age of 14.

  169. So is that photo saying that she was 24/25 in 2007? Cause in 2007 she would have been 23(internationally) and 24(Korean) if she was born in 1984. So a year off?

    ReplyDelete
  170. "because this time they'll actually affect their careers."

not so much, as most of you tend to believe...

T-ara got much more hate, but in reality this barely affected them (in terms of profit, etc.)

    ReplyDelete
  171. YES! I keep waiting for the rumor, but idk if it's true or not, but yeah whatever. As long as it's a new thing to talk about.

    ReplyDelete
  172. 'This went from 12k+ upvotes to barely a 1000. Give it up Knetz.'

It was in one of the local newspapers reporting on Bom's soccer team. If she was really born in 1984 then she wouldn't be a sophomore in 1998 unless she skipped a few grades. I love Bom but this age thing is suspicious.

    ReplyDelete
  174. And we still have 5 months left....

    I'm taking a break.

    ReplyDelete
  175. And how many years? God, it's too late o.o isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  176. i got the joke...but if SM's is coming out with something to cover up,i want some from TVXQ or Shinee...i had enough from SNSD,EXO and F(x) this year

    ReplyDelete
  177. Hahahahaha Knetz can't do basic math.

    ReplyDelete
  178. She was born in 84... that means she was 14-15 as a freshman in 1998.. what's so hard to understand here?

    ReplyDelete
  179. Once they find aanything against a person, they never let go. I'm just hoping the majority of the people can probably understand all that stuff you mentioned. She might have done something illegal, but the way they're talking is as if she's the worst human being. I'm not a Blackjack so I don't follow the individual members a lot, but Bom always came off as a good person (same with CL, Dara and Minzy, really) and it's sad to see her getting all this hate...

    ReplyDelete
  180. Can someone please explain to me why this whole thing came back up 4 years after the case was closed?

    ReplyDelete
  181. I see. How come they split people like that?
