1. [+2,220, -112] I still miss 2008. This may just be nostalgia but the days of TVXQ, Big Bang, Wonder Girls, SNSD... there hasn't been an idol group since with a hit track or influence as powerful as them.
2. [+1,766, -150] Hm... I don't think Winner will live up to Big Bang, or Got7 will live up to 2PM, or EXO will live up to TVXQ at the height of their popularity and public recognition. There isn't even a girl group that anyone would deem worthy to follow SNSD yet... The remaining second generation idols Big Bang and SNSD will soon come to an end, and I think that will just be an end to idols as we know it as well. Even if other groups come out, they won't live up to the popularities of the former generation. You can be like EXO and force the creation of a fandom but it will be impossible to gain public recognition.
3. [+1,342, -29] Idols these days can't live up to the past... Too many to count, I only know a few... Five years ago was the best.
4. [+702, -149] I'm looking forward to Winner for the familiar faces.
5. [+327, -35] I'm a passing hip hop fan. Leaving a comment here after reading someone say that EXO has already surpassed TVXQ. I know that EXO has a large fandom but if you stopped anyone on the streets and asked if they know any of the members, they won't know. EXO and TVXQ are not comparable. TVXQ's songs from their Japanese to their Korean albums are all no joke. Each and every member is vocally talented. EXO may have succeeded in forcibly creating a fandom but they will never surpass TVXQ or Big Bang in terms of talent o rmusicality. We will never again see an idol group to surpass second generation idols Big Bang and TVXQ.
6. [+287, -44] INFINITE, SHINee, B2ST, Big Bang, and TVXQ are still, I believe, greater than EXO.
7. [+244, -32] This is certainly difficult to think about... I just hope that SHINee, B2ST, and f(x) will continue to improve more and more.
8. [+183, -7] A bit unfair to judge the current idols against their seniors. Judge them after they've been promoting for five years. In the '90s, we never thought we'd get another idol group as great as HOT but look what happened. Idols will continue to come out well into the future so quit your crazy talk.
9. [+168, -3] I still like the second generation idols enough to not move on to the third yet
10. [+139, -7] A new generation is not opening up yet. Big Bang, TVXQ, SNSD, SHINee, and 2NE1 still have strong fandoms and are considered the top of the idols.
11. [+132, -2] You wake up and every morning there is an idol who sings and dances better than you.. If anything, I predict the lifespan to shorten up quite a bit, especially for female idols.
12. [+135, -16] Instead of a generation change, let's just get rid of idols all together. Change it to be solo artist centered like IU. I'm tired of groups, honestly.
