B1A4 under suspicion for sajaegi

Article: B1A4 'Lonely' wins first #1 since comeback on 'Show Champion'

Source:
Mydaily via Naver

1. [+810, -100] It's really noisy right now with people claiming sajaegi, I don't think they'd be too comfortable with their win right now. They should hurry up and clarify the issue.

2. [+549, -73] It's a mess right now because of sajaegi, why isn't their company saying anything?????????

3. [+928, -574] I knew this album would do well ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Congratulations ㅠㅠㅠㅠ Thank you ㅠㅠㅠㅠ ♥

4. [+774, -429] Congrats! Thank you, I love Lonely! Fighting~

5. [+369, -38] People are in a riot over their album sajaegi, the company needs to put out clear proof that it's not true or this is just going to grow out of control. CEO, put out your receipts or something.

Article: 14,000 copies sold in there hours and a half... B1A4's album sajaegi controversy

Source: No Cut News via Naver

1. [+3,580, -645] This is not B1A4's fault but the fault of the company, of course, but don't act like we (TVXQ fans) instigated this first when there is enough proof to keep you from denying any of this. Bring the proof if you're so adamant on proving your innocence. Where are your receipts?

2. [+3,210, -370] Their receipts are 'Lonely'

3. [+2,795, -425] Everything about this screams sajaegi, I really want to hear a Bana try to explain how these are all just rumors. You ask a Bana this and they shut up ㅋ It's unfortunate for B1A4 but the victims in this are TVXQ and their fans being shafted out of a win.

4. [+2,501, -333] Don't try to shield this if you don't have clearcut proof proving otherwise ㅋㅋㅋ

5. [+2,158, -189] The only reason this is a controversy is because the company isn't saying anything.

-

*Sajaegi is basically like buying back your own albums. How it's done is companies will take one CD, replace the barcode, record the barcode as sold, replace the barcode again, record it as sold again, and rinse and repeat with the same single CD.)

- B1A4 sold 22,000 copies of their previous album in its first week but sold 67,000 copies of their new album in its first week with only 1,000 people attending their fan signing (to compare, TVXQ sold 73,000 copies in their first week with 8,300 people attending their fan signing).

- Sold 3,600 copies in Daegu alone.

- No receipts released (agency claimed they will show them after they assessed the situation)

- Their album sales ranking rose to #2 only at night with a random spike of 8,000 copies sold in the span of two hours (1/19).

- Fans retorted that the spike in sales between this album and last album is due to the album being divided into six different styles and the increase in fans. However, people argued back that Super Junior had an album with 10 different purchaseable styles (5th album) which sold 79,100 copies in its first week. Their 6th album had even less styles but sold 80,781 copies, showing that the album variety has no impact on first week sales.

- Fans also retorted that 5,000 copies were sold through a group order and 3,000 copies were sold through their fan signing. That still leaves 32,000 copies in the air, which fans claimed were bought by international fans. There has yet to be proof or receipts shown on this, however.

- It is impossible for B1A4 to have reached even 40,000 in sales in their first week according to Hot Tracks' offline sales. (Hot Tracks recorded about 620 copies sold per day throughout their five record stories, making it impossible for the rest of the 32,000 to be sold in the span of three days).

- Proof gathered on the side of B1A4 accounts for 1,000 in domestic group orders, 3,500 in international group orders, and 3,000 in fan signing (Hanteo Charts confirmed that the max limit is 1,000 copies for group orders), which means 32,500 copies (81.25% of their sales) are still missing in the air and unaccounted for.

Numbers and all of that jazz can be found on this blog.

  2. B1A4's company has been sketchy from the start. When they debuted, they used a YouTube bot service to manipulate views. YouTube had to remove the video.

    ReplyDelete
  3. please someone enlight me what does sajaegi mean??

    ReplyDelete
  4. I don't know about the controversy and I don't quite care, but look at all the upvotes!

  5. interesting, thanks for putting all those numbers and explanations up there nb that must have taken a while to translate but it helped it explain it well

    ReplyDelete
  6. Read the post. It's right there.

    ReplyDelete
  7. ugh this is such a shame, the album is truly amazing, they should have just let the music speak for itself

    ReplyDelete
  8. If it's true, I just hope that they knew of it in advance......... Don't disappoint them after they got so happy :(

    ReplyDelete
  9. Nooooo. I feel so sorry for them. I'm not a Bana but You can tell how hard they've worked improving themselves and you can definitely feel it in their new album. I hope this gets resolved quickly and has no lasting negative impact on B1A4

    ReplyDelete
  10. how powerful this company then SM so they can do this sajaegi? poor b1a4, and yes plz clarify the issue .

    ReplyDelete
  11. It seems companies keep getting lower and lower. So many plagiarism and sajaegi controversies lately.

    ReplyDelete
  12. At least k-netizens are not blaming on the group, which is good.

    ReplyDelete
  13. amaya aguero monzonJanuary 22, 2014 at 5:30 PM

why do this when they are finally popular ?? TTTT

    ReplyDelete
  14. While b1a4 does have loyal fans, and a huge fanbase the "evidence" presented up there makes WM entertainment seem really suspicious, I hope they will clarify this issue- I bought the album and they have worked really hard on it, and their seemingly clean record could be tainted really badly by this :(

    ReplyDelete
  15. and people still think im just hating for saying this is fishy as fuck, I dont blame B1A4 but their company, and some BANA's need to be more respectfull of their oppas sunbaes too

    ReplyDelete
  16. their album had several version + they had fansigns which increased the sales. No offense but so much of this accusation sounds like fans of a group from a big company looking down on a group from a smaller company. b1a4 has gained a lot of popularity. Either wait for hanteo/gaon/etc to respond or stfu just because tvxq lost to b1a4

    ReplyDelete
  17. the power of cassiopea,

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm glad that ppl do not seem to blam the boys themseleves !
Shame on all companies who do these kind of things

    ReplyDelete
  19. Another one bites the dust. tsk tsk. No shady business will be kept hidden forever. Celebrate now cause in the end, the dark shadows will haunt you.

    ReplyDelete
  20. lol all your "evidence" is refuted above, didn't you read?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't get why a Company would risk tarnishing their Artists name like that ......
If you do shady shit like that - you will get caught out whether it is sooner or later.

What is with the companies lately ..... they are getting worse at managing their Artists ..... and getting caught doing stupid shit.
No good can come from it so why even bother.....

    ReplyDelete
  22. Not my B1A4 babies caught in this mess, WM Entertainment needs to stop with their shady mess because the members have been working hard to get more recognition and I would hate to see that disappear from the members.

[+3,210, -370] Their receipts are 'Lonely'

ok, you win this one netizen because I laughed

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's too bad, they really gained a very positive public recognition and their company just ruins it, because of greediness... They should know that positive image last longer than music show wins...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Way to kill the group just as they gain popularity boop

    ReplyDelete
  25. This is why, even ten years in, Cassiopeia is /still/ the scariest fandom. NEVER mess with them *shudders*

    ReplyDelete
  26. this is so sad, B1A4 is such a nice group of boys

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wow.. so much proof -- thank you for the information nb! Well I really hope the company releases the receipts soon or it's not going to look good for the group although they had nothing to do with it. Glad people aren't blindly hating yet, cause B1A4 deserves recognition, although if it was sajaegi then I really feel bad for TVXQ :/

    ReplyDelete
  28. this is sort of off topic, but in regards to 'their 6th album had even less styles but sold 80,781 copies, showing that the album variety has no impact on first week sales' i feel like the fact that having NO album variety almost does increase sales? for super junior for example, because each album will come with a photocard of a member, fans would be more likely to buy more albums just to get their favourite member (and i've heard that sm will produce LESS photocards of more popular members just so chances of getting them will be less, so fans need to buy more). with sj's 5th album, mr simple, the original version didn't come with photocards of just one member, instead it came with album covers of just one member, making it easier for fans to just pick which album they wanted based on who was on the cover.

    ReplyDelete
  29. this is sad. the album is actually not bad, i love the songs... but the fact that the company resorted to this... sigh

    ReplyDelete
  30. Unfortunate, it's a really solid album but the evidence is pretty strong. Hopefully this won't negatively affect B1A4 much. Such a dumb move by the company though if they actually did it. It's not subtle and they should know better than to do it to try and beat out Cassies of all fandoms, of course people would notice

    ReplyDelete
  31. what a mess. Their company needs to speak up, the situation is only going to get worse.

    ReplyDelete
  32. B1a4 doesn't need this. They were doing well these days. I hope the company clarifies it in a good way and hopefully apologize for it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's really sketchy especially when compared to how DBSK's album has sold so far.

    ReplyDelete
  34. That company .. sigh How the hell a company can destroy her own artist ? why being so dumb?? omg >_>

    ReplyDelete
  35. I also read on twitter that two or five BigEast deposited 5000000won into a Cassie's bank account after hearing about the sajaegi, which paid for 150 copies of TVXQ's album each. Large fandoms impress me.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sketchy...but their songs are good

    ReplyDelete
  37. somehow i don't think that B1A4 will 'bite the dust'. they've been pretty much scandal-free up to now, and, basing off comments here, most netizens seem to blame their company more than the group themselves. it could be hard for them to gain back their clean image, but i don't think it'll be impossible.

    ReplyDelete
  38. This is funny especially since the majority of show wins is known before hand by the idol groups, the shows, and their staff LOL

    The moar you KNOOOOOOOOOOW!

    ReplyDelete
  39. OpparDoesntLoveYouJanuary 22, 2014 at 5:37 PM

this most likely won't have a huge affect on the boys directly right? Luckily they're a male group so the backlash shouldn't be too big. Just don't do anything too stupid and nothing will go wrong. Plus they have a pretty good fandom size right? *sigh* It's sad when companies resort to shady tactics like this. Please just let your artists do well the proper way.

    ReplyDelete
  40. if you going to cheat at least be realistic with it. there's no way b1a4 could beat tvxq. that's unrealistic. they aren't even the most popular boyband. when they saw they were competing against tvxq thy should have calmed that mess down.

    ReplyDelete
  41. what exactly happened to dbsk that cassies are responding to this?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Just a few days ago, B1A4 had positive recognition from the public and I really hope this wouldn't bring their image down... it's just unfair when groups are hated because of what their companies are doing :|

    ReplyDelete
  43. I would have thought it'd be EXO's fandom considering all that news about their sasaengs.

    ReplyDelete
  44. A•D•T•O•Y•L•J•O•EJanuary 22, 2014 at 5:38 PM

UGH indeed this is good because they are indeed not at fault at all. They are not familiar with these things IF this does happen, they only practice and perform, what happens with the calculation is totally outside their professionalism.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Their "popularity" has always seemed fishy to me. By all numbers they were a fast rising, highly ranked group, but they have almost no dedicated fans on international forums. I just kind of assumed, "well maybe they are all in Japan only?" But maybe that is overstated too?

    ReplyDelete
  46. this post rebutts both those points, did you even read it?

    ReplyDelete
  47. doesnt naver usually have thousands of votes though :o

    ReplyDelete
  48. sad that they're getting these accusations because lonely >>>>>> dbsk's song. b1a4 is also a very talented group that composes their own music unlike dbsk who is basically just another manufactured idol group by sm.

    ReplyDelete
  49. what does that even have to do with anything

its the same thing with B2ST and APINK

    ReplyDelete
  50. Fangirls will be fangirls the last thing they're thinking about is being respectful...B1A4 could be completely ruined by this if the company doesn't do some serious damage control

    ReplyDelete
  51. B1A4 company doesn't need to do this...

    ReplyDelete
  52. I don't know if you've noticed but the only popular kpop groups on international forums are ones from SM/YG. B1A4 is popular in Korea and is on the same level as shinee & infinite over there.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Reminds me of the time BAP's album sales jumped up 10,000+ in half an hour.

    ReplyDelete
  54. you sound like a pressed bana, go sit down

    ReplyDelete
  55. This sucks for B1A4 D:. But really, TVXQ...victims? As a huge TVXQ fan (Yunho's my ultimate kpop bias), I think they can live being "shafted" once on a music show with all the bigger awards they've won in the past 10 years. Good luck B1A4!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. You don't have to bring other groups down to compliment the ones you like.

    ReplyDelete
  57. - No receipts released (agency claimed they will show them after they assessed the situation)

WM you better show them the receipt or else i'll kill ya.

    ReplyDelete
  58. no need to put other groups down.

    ReplyDelete
  59. and you sound like a pressed tvxq fan. pointing out that b1a4 are more talented is hardly sounding like a pressed fan. I'm not a fan of either groups.

    ReplyDelete
  60. b1a4 is as manufactured as they come, stop.

    ReplyDelete
  61. you are pressed and delusional.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Well this explains why my tline was a mess today...

While I'm not that fond of B1A4, I do hope this wont cause too much damage to their career. Their company really shouldn't have done this....

    ReplyDelete
  63. I feel bad for both groups but specially for DBSK, fans were waiting for them for so long and now this happens :(

    ReplyDelete
  64. To be frank, I think it shows how many celebrity articles are only populated by people who really passionately care about the issue. Without Cassiopeia, the article would have nearly none, seeing as the first comment speaks about Cassies in the first-person.

Which further proves how pointless it is to use upvotes or downvotes as netizen opinion for anything.

    ReplyDelete
  65. To think they would have learned, especially if people still remember it smh.. Companies need to realize that manipulating the charts and statistics to get just a couple wins for their groups will just garner more hate in the long run instead of being beneficial.

    ReplyDelete
  66. lol at least make it less obvious. it would be like girls day almost outselling snsd out of nowhere

    ReplyDelete
  67. A•D•T•O•Y•L•J•O•EJanuary 22, 2014 at 5:43 PM

IF this does really happen, none of you should blame on the boys. They have done their best, they write their own songs and the songs are truly amazing. If this sajaegi happened then you can blame on the company, but not them because they have no power on manipulating this if ever. But to be honest, from musicality side, Lonely is a lot better sounding than Something. Even I like TVXQ but... Not this song tbh.

    ReplyDelete
  68. If only they'd put this much effort into government issues

    ReplyDelete
  69. Not impressed tbh instead of giving that money to rich opparzz why not do some actual good and donate it

    ReplyDelete
  70. such a flawfree album, i really don't want to believe the company did such a stupid thing. i know the entertainment business is extremely cut throat but pls, don't resort to this. B1a4 worked soo hard to get to where they are

    ReplyDelete
  71. there are a lot of entertainment companies that do this and it just pisses me off!

    ReplyDelete
  72. lol yeah sorry for me the victim here also B1A4, notting againts tvxq but when you saw everyone respond here also netizzen above i think B1A4 the one who will feel so bad this time not tvxq and when this is not even their own fault.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Well a lot of idols under sm would love to compose and submit lyrics but are turned down, only the faves of the company get to do that...

but anyway, you sound deluded here.
Both Lonely & Something are very good songs and it's disappointing that b1a4's company decided to do sajaegi and thought they can get away with it. There's no way that b1a4 sold that many copies of their album in 3 hours or less.
I'd rather that they didn't win any music shows and got good reviews and good public/critical response towards the song instead of resorting to cheating & lying.

    ReplyDelete
  74. b1a4 fancafe is bigger than shinee's and infinites. Its crazy but b1a4 are v popular in Korea (not as much internationally but still so-so)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Let's not do this. The two groups are great, and there's no need to bash one group just to defend another. You can see in the comments that no one is blaming B1A4. No one knows for sure yet that it was sales manipulation since the company hasn't spoken up yet judging from the netizen comments from the post. If it turns out to be true, and remember I'm saying if, it's obviously their dumb company's fault. Also, "manufactured idol group"...if that's your argument to bash against a kpop group that's pretty weak because all kpop groups are manufactured idol groups.

    ReplyDelete
  76. cause that wont make oppa chart or win music shows lol

    ReplyDelete
  77. I actually have to agree with this. Plus, B1A4 is especially popular among the elementary and mid-school kids in Korea. Just because you're not popular internationally, doesn't mean you're not popular in Korea.

    ReplyDelete
  78. honestly they are not being too bad right now, banas have been saying awful things (they should poison yunho again, making fun of jaejoong's adoptive family which is weird because hes not a dbsk member) so these comments are tame in comparison

    ReplyDelete
  79. Exactly. All idol groups are manufactured and us stanning a particular group wont make them some special snowflake. Bana's need to get into this line of thinking too or they'll sound too deluded.

Anyway, with this sajaegi incident people are blaming the company and not the group so I don't get why there are angry fan girls putting down dbsk now.

    ReplyDelete
  80. fancafe doesn't even mean anything. what about sales? show me where they are selling around infinite and shinee level when their company isn't buying it themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  81. ...well I guess we will know the true as soon as Gaon release their sales. If they have sold more on Hanteo than Gaon than something is seriously wrong

    ReplyDelete
  82. SHINee does not have an fancafe . Its been close for years and you can't gain membership lol

    ReplyDelete
  83. They are just trying to defend their bias (whether right or wrong that is most of the time an instinctive response to protect their oppas)... It's not like they put down TVXQ. Tbh, It's the company that offended TVXQ by not putting them in high regards.

    ReplyDelete
  84. But its not like tvxq was even losing?

    ReplyDelete
  85. it's because dbsk is now competing with B1A4, and the album sales intervenes on who's gonna win. so I guess they're feeling that bia4's win was unfair

    ReplyDelete
  86. i thought you were 'hahaha'-ing the statement about them being popular. that's all i'm correcting here mate

    ReplyDelete
  87. That sucks. Hope it gets resolved soon

    ReplyDelete
  88. Also, All idol groups are manufactured and us stanning a particular group wont make them some special snowflake. Bana's need to get into this line of thinking too or they'll sound too deluded.

Anyway, with this sajaegi incident people are blaming the company and not the group so I don't get why there are angry b1a4 fan girls putting down dbsk now.

*i replied to wrong person before. oops*

    ReplyDelete
  89. i'm not saying they aren't popular but they aren't as popular as infinite or shinee

    ReplyDelete
  90. Never been interested in this group anyways... Ciao!

    ReplyDelete
  91. for what I saw, cassies where pretty much calm till a "BANA" made a comment about giving Yunho poison

    ReplyDelete
  92. b1a4 is a great group with great music but their company ;___; i'm on the netizens' sides for this one. it's not the group's fault

    ReplyDelete
  93. Could it not be the work of trolls? This is a huge controversy and trolls thrive on this, especially in regards to two idol groups, as well as one as big as TVXQ.

    ReplyDelete
  94. They lost this one. One. Out of the dozens I'm sure DBSK has already won. I can't believe a large fandom is caught up in making sure they get EVERY. LAST. AWARD. Espeically this miniscule award.

    ReplyDelete
  95. they manipulated Youtube Views? i have never heard it. I thought they were scandal-free. can you explain it more? thanks^^

    ReplyDelete
  96. when you take something from someone by stealing and cheating, you are a victim. i like b1a4 myself but they shouldn't get something they don' deserve

    ReplyDelete
  97. That is completely inhumane! I didn't even have any impression of B1A4's fans before, but this really gave me a bad impression. :|

    ReplyDelete
  98. wait...are we using fancafes as a popularity evidence here???Sorry, i'm not even a fan of shinee and infinite but they've even won daesangs and year end awards, b1a4 just had their 2nd win on a music programm and this one is manifactured,so....

    ReplyDelete
  99. TVXQ have been around longer though. Exo's sasaengs are some of TVXQ's old ones and ones that learned from TVXQ. TVXQ's sasaengs have done horrible things to them as well, it's just EXO's sasaengs are more actively news worthy right now.
I don't think the OP means in terms of sasaengs though.
I mean if you look at JYJ fans (if you include D5BK), you don't mess with them because they are scary online. Exo's fans haven't done anything like that, so I wouldn't call them too scary just yet.

    ReplyDelete
  100. This must be embarrassing for both B1A4, their entertainment and the fans who try to defend their win. :|

    ReplyDelete
  101. defending by bringing someone else down? Yeah makes no sense to me, cassies pretty much hating on WM not B1A4, some “BANA’s” ARE hating on TVXQ and even making comments of giving Yunho poison again wich is pretty much a painful nerve for us

    ReplyDelete
  102. A•D•T•O•Y•L•J•O•EJanuary 22, 2014 at 5:55 PM

    You're so bitter istg...

    ReplyDelete
  103. Using fancafes that are not even active and basically forgotten as evidence of b1a4's popularity... no.
    Your point is invalid.

    ReplyDelete
  104. shinee's fancafe (which isnt even official) hasn't been opened since 2009

    ReplyDelete
  105. I'll never respect Cassies either. I went to SMTown Seoul 2012 and Cassies black oceaned everyone who wasn't DBSK and chanted during other groups' introductions :\ So rude.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Not much to explain. Their debut video had over 2M views in a couple of hours. At the time, it was unheard of for an unknown group. The video was removed shortly after.

    ReplyDelete
  107. So, would it be also true for their previous albums ? B1A4 always did well in album sells, but were their previous sells fake too ?

    ReplyDelete
  108. i don't see a problem with trying to be fain.if b1a4 didn't deserve it then they didn't.the size of the fandom is irelevant

    ReplyDelete
  109. maybe is cause this pretty much is the last comeback befor Yunho goes to his military service, nothing official, but he its gonna be 29 in Feb so im guessing he will leave like in november of this year

    ReplyDelete
  110. you need to consider that most korean banas are students. mostly elementary and middle school. so they're pretty immature

    ReplyDelete
  111. I just think b1a4's fans need to stop defending this win because anyone can clearly see all the odd numbers and calculations which don't add up.

    ReplyDelete
  112. They're really popular amongst elementary and middle school kids. I was an elementary teacher over there and nearly all my girls were either Bana or Inspirits.

    ReplyDelete
  113. When I looked at yearly gaon physical chart, I think b1a4 and vixx are suspicious. They sold a lot of album. They even sold more than Beast.

    ReplyDelete
  114. But on the same level as Infinite as SHINee? No.

    ReplyDelete
  115. One fan shouldn't ruin your impression on the whole fandom lol, TVXQ/DB5K fans have done some sketchy things in the past too..

    ReplyDelete
  116. DBSK will win on other music shows too. Yunho doesn't need to win every single thing in order to be satisfied before he goes into army.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Yes, and out of all idols out there.....they win against TVXQ. No matter how I think about it, it doesn't make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  118. This seriously couldn't have happened at a worse time

    ReplyDelete
  119. VIXX promoted the hell out of 2013 and got popular over time though, winning #1 with Voodoo Doll at the end of the year (over Hyorin). I really don't think Jellyfish manipulated anything there.

    ReplyDelete
  120. um why do Cassies insist that Exo fans are old TVXQ fans?

TVXQ are so old, Exo fans are mostly the new generation kpop fans

gosh,...so paranoid that your oppas are being abandoned >.>

    ReplyDelete
  121. It isn't refuted though. Seriously.

"- B1A4 sold 22,000 copies of their previous album in its first week but sold 67,000 copies of their new album in its first week with only 1,000 people attending their fan signing (to compare, TVXQ sold 73,000 copies in their first week with 8,300 people attending their fan signing)."

Per one fan sign about 1,000 fans buying albums to get in to b1a4's fan sign Vs. 8,300 fans buying tvxq's fan sign.

1000 people bought 35,000+ albums? WM Entertaintment better release those receipts for that asap.

  122. I agree it should be fair, just the Cassies going after B1A4 and Bana is a little extreme because the fandom is so much larger and so much older than Bana. They're literally picking on children. For an award that doesn't even matter in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  123. SM doesn't bother with sajaegi - their groups don't need it, lmao.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Everything can be finished with receipts, so why isn't the company showing them right away? Nearly 33 thousand in suspicious sales can't just be explained away as bulk orders

    ReplyDelete
  125. VIXX held like forever fansigns which contributed to increase the sales since fans kept buying over and over again the album so they could have them signed over & over again. You can see that even their first singles sold well through the year

    ReplyDelete
  126. vixx holds a lot of fansigns and I mean a LOT. they had over 30 fansigns last year. Most groups average around 5 fansigns per promotion period. So yeah, I wouldn't look at vixx's album sales as some kind of indication of their fanbase because it's heavily inflated by fansigns.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I'm not B1A4 fan, but
after their album came out, I check the songs and its really good, I
even thought to buy the album(if only I don't have to save for 2NE1 and
YG fam concerts) I would have bought it)
I wish this company manipulation wouldn't be true since the album itself does sell well without it.

    ReplyDelete
  128. it's pretty common knowledge that cassiopeia don't turn on their lightsticks until near tvxq's performance in order to save battery because tvxq always performs last. they cheer with their red balloons otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Then why click on the article? You care enough

    ReplyDelete
  130. but i love the album!! im not a bana, just a casual kpop fan who listens to some songs i interest with, but this album blew me away! it's one of the best album ive listened lately.

    ReplyDelete
  131. yes but if the company isn't called out the cheating will only repeat and eventually became bigger.the cheating matters not the award

    ReplyDelete
  132. he doesnt need it but fans want to give it to him

    ReplyDelete
  133. exactly

if exo fans are old tvxq fans, then what does that make suju, shinee, snsd, & fx fans? old tvxq fans aswell

    cassies showing their insecurity

    ReplyDelete
  134. The thing is that I know a lot of DB5K fans who are nice but the only B1A4 fans I've seen so far are the ones on this thread blindly defending them + just heard about the poison one. XD They are internationally kinda rare when thinking about it actually..

    ReplyDelete
  135. I feel bad for B1A4, their song is good & they don't deserve this to tarnish their name. The silver lining in this is that no one is blaming them, but their company. If the agency really is innocent of all of this then they need to show proof otherwise everyone will assume they did do it and are only buying time to come up with an excuse.

    ReplyDelete
  136. The fact that they won against TVXQ alone is suspicious.
Also when sajegi first came to light it was said that it's done over night which was when most of the albums were purchased.
I really hope that this isn't true, but it just seems so obvious that it is.

    ReplyDelete
  137. If the sajaegi is proved to be true, BANA is so going to have it good from cassies. They threatened Yunho, they said shit about Jaejoong, they are being little shitties to Cassie and Cassie is just hearing and proving their point. If Cassie start the hate towards B1A4 it was their fandom that asked for it.

I'm not defending any group I have stated what I meant that this needs to be dug even more and if it's proven to be true B1A4 cannot be put at fault, the company might be the one arranging it /if/ this did happen.
But really, when some of you say "there is no way B1A4 is winning against TVXQ" or "there is no way BAP's sales is higher than SHINee" ...shouldn't you guys not underestimating other groups like that? Whichever group that is, each has its own uniqueness and this is NOT, I repeat, NOT about B1A4 or this case particularly but impossible things can happen, to any groups, big or small. To anyone for that matter. Whether this case is later be proven true or not, none of you should yell out to the whole world which deserves winning and which aren't. That's low, especially if it's just to defend your bias groups. It irks me to see how low that has gone beyond.

    ReplyDelete
  139. I bet some Darlings are laughing their butts off.

    ReplyDelete
  140. That's such a bullshit excuse. Every other fandom kept their lightsticks on the entire time. Why can't Cassies?

    ReplyDelete
  141. You're highly mistaken if you think DBSK's sasaengs are old. If anything, most are barely older than the EXO guys. And LOL it's not hard to imagine that an old timer fan would like to stan for a new group. Tsk.

    ReplyDelete
  142. why they say "B1A4" when companies are the ones who allegedly buy back the albums??? these witch hunts are stupid... asking for receipts and explanations when they ALREADY jumped to conclusions, its useless imo..
When they manage to clear up their name with receipts, someone would ALWAYS bring the sajaegi controversy again.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Did something happen between Darlings and BANAs?

    ReplyDelete
  144. the person is talking about sasaeng fans. it's been mentioned before that some tvxq sasaengs DID become exo sasaengs. see this article: http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.ca/2013/08/exo-continues-to-struggle-with-sasaengs.html , the first comment.

    ReplyDelete
  145. yeah, thats why we have to teach them to respect

    ReplyDelete
  146. If they had the receipts they would have released them right away to save this group which has gotten popular finally.
I can't believe b1a4's company for risking this. Their stupidity might bring on hate for the group if they don't be careful and hurry up with sorting this mess out soon.
Right now no one blames the group itself, just the company. It's unfortunate for b1a4.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Honestly? I think their company overestimated how popular they are and they thought they can get away with faking huge sales. Yeah, huge sales but where are the people who bought those? I also see some of their fans here comparing or placing them above sunbae groups and like, come on. B1A4 is known but they're not THAT big. Delusional behavior like that is why the company thought they can fool everybody into thinking B1A4 is hugely popular.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Cassies and their charitable donations in DBSK's name would put other fandoms to shame, TBH. Right now, they're focused on helping the album sell.

    ReplyDelete
  149. THIS!!
well I won't defend for B1A4 as I don't know things exactly, but totally agree with you, small can't win Huge fandom, that stereo type thing, hateful!

    ReplyDelete
  150. It happened back in 2011:

The rivalry between the fandoms can be traced back to “2011 SBS Gayo Daejun,” during which B1A4 and Dal Shabet had shared a special stage. But the choreography called for body contact between the members, and it has caused fans to become upset. From this criticism and hate spawned speculative rumors. In one such rumor, a Darling was accused of physically assaulting a Bana. While another claimed Dal Shabet’s Serri had blatantly rejected a B1A4 member who extended his hand in a friendly greeting.

The rumors only worsened after the “Idol Star Athletics Championships” took place. The online community boards were swamped as fans posted several claims stating that Darlings had assaulted Banas and had even, allegedly, raped and kidnapped the opposing fans.

    cr: Soompi

    ReplyDelete
  151. Of course cheating should get called out and it has been. Just this Cassies vs Bana thing... I'm not comfortable with it. Fans of all groups should be calling this out, being a Cassie is irrelevant. Just that Cassies came out so strong and hard is a little unsettling.

    ReplyDelete
  152. B1A4 are my fave male group - this album in particular is really really good.

I think buyback rumours are really disheartening. But I highly doubt it's a buyback. B1A4 are the first artists of their company and I don't think they have the resources to buy this many of their own albums. Is it possible that the charts are just not as secure as they used to be? Perhaps someone is manipulating it elsewhere?

I've bought 2 copies myself (iTunes and a physical). I'll probably buy 5 more copies so I get all the covers.

I hope the group aren't branded and that an explanation comes back soon. Lonely is an amazing song and the fanchants are really really loud. I think they have a lot of fans at this point and they could have realistically won against TVXQ after a couple of weeks. This early win does seem suspicious but with all these buyback controversies I'll try and reserve judgement until some more info comes out.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Companies are usually the ones responsible for the crap the group has to endure. I'm sick of it. So many great groups out there that suffer because of mismanagement and poor decisions from the higher ups. I hope B1A4 survives this.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Cassies think that just because TVXQ is an older and respected group that they an just act rude and disrespectful. no

why dont u cssies act mature like your oppas

    ReplyDelete
  155. Please stop acting as though cassie's are all so respectful because they are far from it

    ReplyDelete
  156. Like somebody said above, the company probably thought they can make it seem like B1A4 is a huge deal. Yeah I don't know why the company did this when the guys were rising slowly but surely. Company probably got greedy and now B1A4's gonna get made fun of :( Not the group's fault, but their name is going to be associated with buying back their own albums.

    ReplyDelete
  157. well, I juz ordered b1a4 album on yesasia juz now, I didn't buy tvxq's Something, does this make weird? odd??????? there might be a lot of people like me out there, domestically or internationally!

    ReplyDelete
  158. mte... theyre good performers and their songs are great so its a shame they are in the middle of this witch hunt. If the agency did this, theyre quite dumb...

    ReplyDelete
  159. I dunno what happened now between Banas and Cassies, but I do know that Banas once brawled with Dal Shabet fans to the point where police were called. Some hardcore people there huh.

    ReplyDelete
  160. This is the same trick BAP's company tried to pull wiht buying back albums, but failed

i hate it when companies resort to this :/

    ReplyDelete
  161. I don't see your point.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Agree. I don't think DBSK themselves mind losing when they've already won it all last week. LOL they're hardly victims here. But yeah B1A4's sales are sketchy.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Manufactured? Then what is B1A4? All idol groups are manufactured. They train for years and a company puts them together. No need to put down TVXQ because you're upset.

    ReplyDelete
  164. If you didn't know already, a lot of fans from tvxq, suju & shinee, (mostly the younger ones), "jumped ship" and went to exo fandom. You can see exo fans on tumblr, twitter, youtube, all over sns admitting they've moved from an older sm fandom for the new one and also selling off everything they own from the previous group they stanned.
It was also basically proven that most of tvxq/dbsk's saesang fans moved from that fandom to exo. It's not as if in the past 10 years tvxq didn't get new fans from younger generations, they did. The fact is they wont be as loyal as the older generation fans and will move with the trend.

    ReplyDelete
  165. we are, wtf, dude if their fans comments werent againts TVXQ we wouldnt get in the middle of this

    ReplyDelete
  166. I'm a Jaejoong fan myself and if any BANA bashed him, I wouldn't have tolerated it but I haven't seen the comments. Don't put all the blame on BANA though, because I've seen some pretty nasty comments from Cassies too. This problem was caused by TWO fandoms.

    ReplyDelete
  167. If the agency really did this then they are dumb to think no one would catch on.

    ReplyDelete
  168. A•D•T•O•Y•L•J•O•EJanuary 22, 2014 at 6:21 PM

Exactly and some of the people here are going "I like B1A4 but they don't deserve it" ......doesn't sound like they like them at all, and I don't care but it sounds so hateful they just tried sugar coating things and that's not the point. No one told you which group you should like or not when you post comments here but really, never say impossible things can't happen. Never say one doesn't deserve winning against another. I don't get some fans sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Yikes...WME is in trouble...

    ReplyDelete
  170. And the shit about it is... I lived this because I'm a dal shabet fan since their debut, and I knew BANA was some shit because of all this issue. Really, Dal Shabet BARELY touched the guys when the performance had the intention to be provocative.

    ReplyDelete
  171. honestly, fans didnt go againts BANA's till they started leaving hatefull comments about TVXQ

    ReplyDelete
  172. this really suck for b1a4, all their hardwork will be overwhelm by this controversy. they are nice, talented, respectful and hard working boys as well. i hope it doesn't affect them too much

    ReplyDelete
  173. I'm not seeing your point...

    ReplyDelete
  174. I agree. Right now no one blames b1a4 at all and it isn't their fault, plus they should never get the blame no matter what but this stupid act of their company can potentially get the group itself some hate if the company doesn't come out with evidence and fix this soon.

    ReplyDelete
  175. next time don't do it when youre vs. cassies!

more of these doings by other artists need to be exposed! hope nb can find more sources to tl :D

    ReplyDelete
  176. I'm seeing some double standards here... girl groups never get sympathy like this.

    ReplyDelete
  177. The lack of scandals B1A4 has also contributes to their popularity because it gives them a clean image. WM Entertainment better smarten up and show those receipts because this could turn into something huge if not handled accordingly. B1A4 does not need a huge scandal on their back, especially since they've never really dealt with one. B1A4's company is going to damage their groups image if they don't address this sajaegi promptly.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Me too! I've loved them for so long. I didn't even see the performance, but I think everyone made a big deal out of nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  179. There's was a post coming around that showed BANAs to be saying shit about Jaejoong being adopted or smth like that. I wouldn't spit these words if I didn't know about it though. As much as I saw, Cassie are being way softer than BANA in this issue, really.

    ReplyDelete
  180. If you're saying that maybe it was other fans like you who were quietly buying albums internationally, then yeah I get what you mean. But those 8000 copies sold in the middle of the night plus the missing receipts are shady as heck. If those 32k albums were sold through Yesasia or another site then it would be easy for the company to show invoices for that.

    ReplyDelete
  181. and?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

    ReplyDelete
  182. True, anything is possible and groups from smaller companies can also sell well. However, if they're gonna have these numbers against DBSK, whose notorious for high album sales for 10years now, you can't blame people for being suspicious. But seeing the rate that B1A4 has sold and no receipts to prove it, is it really surprising people are calling them out for it?

    ReplyDelete
  183. Why should they? No offense, but even with this controversy, B1A4 can easily bounce back. Dal⭐️Shabet still hasn't gotten much more popular, even after "B.B.B.," except if you count the army, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  184. im a cassie since 2005 and now an exo fans. not all tvxq fans are exo fans now, but a lot are, especially the crazy sasaeng group. no other sm groups have experience such extreme sasaeng intrusion such as tvxq, and now some of the notorious ones had move over to stalk exo. since the level of craziness are almost the same.

    ReplyDelete
  185. The performance was nothing to be so WOW about it. As I said, they barely touched, and when there was the 'couple body wave' they were like 10 inches distant from each other. BANA claimed ALL THEIR FURY in "Serri not holding Baro's hand while performing." It makes no sense at all.

    ReplyDelete
  186. wow, that pretty messed up.. i watch b1a4 reality show once and they all good kid, hope it's not affected their image much

and well, why not get rid all winning system in music show and just enjoy music since the company keep manipulated the result..

well yeah i know its not gonna happen anytime soon though

    ReplyDelete
  187. That is common practice. Not a black ocean to boycott but since we're many, we dont want other group's lightstick outshined by ours. Let their lightsticks be seen by their idols. Besides its to save batteries. Cassies do this as practice in many various idols concerts.

Did u ask any cassies there?

    ReplyDelete
  188. I'm talking about the stuff that went down between their fandoms back in 2011. :)

    ReplyDelete
  189. Oh they're scary , remember what they did to that al shabet girl cause of her stage with one of the guys , they even started an anti-fancafe

    ReplyDelete
  190. It's not only Cassies calling out this sajaegi mess, I see a lot of other fandoms are.
It's understandable why Cassies would come out the strongest though because their idol group got cheated out of a win.
If b1a4 won straight up & honestly with proper album sales & digital points etc, then no one would have complained and the issue wouldn't be as big as this, even if there was some bitter fan girl wars between Cassies & Bana's.

    ReplyDelete
  191. Umm... Infinite's fan cafe is larger than B1A4's, where are you getting your numbers from? And SHINee's has been closed for a long time.

    ReplyDelete
