Sohee leaves JYP, Wonder Girls renew contracts

Article: [Exclusive] Wonder Girls Sohee leaves JYP... "secret meeting with an acting agency"

Source: Sports Korea via Naver

1. [+1,561, -75] I used to be a Sohee fan... but JYP really doesn't care about the group at all. JYP left them all to individual activities... how does it make sense that singers aren't able to sing and are just mindlessly doing individual activities? I think Sohee made the right decision. Instead of rotting in there, start promoting more...

2. [+1,355, -49] Seems the Wonder Girls disbanded under our nose...

3. [+1,111, -13] Well, it's not like she can just sit and starve

4. [+1,098, -173] Sunye's fault

5. [+335, -31] Hul... I think Sohee's better at modeling than acting or singing.

6. [+301, -32] Sohee's been pushed to the back burner since Suzy debuted... Should either get married like Sunye or go solo like Sunmi. Seems she's going into acting because she doesn't have singing talents but I don't think acting's the right path for her either.

7. [+234, -20] Better for her to leave JYP ㅋㅋ Right when she was at the height of her popularity for omona, JYP rejected all her CFs and sent her off to America

8. [+207, -18] No reason for her to stay when JYP isn't promoting her and the Wonder Girls is lost in the air because of Sunye.

Article: JYP "WG's Sunye, Yeeun, and Yoobin renewed contracts, we will respect Sohee's decision" official statement

Source: Newsen via Nate

1. [+366, -40] Sunye renewed... I have no words for her

2. [+293, -31] Sunye renewed? She still thinks about singing?

3. [+275, -35] Bad move on Sunye's part... ㅡㅡ;;;;

4. [+45, -2] Wonder Girls fans have lost all hope. Sunye, the only one who is of no help at all to the group, renewed her contract while the group's member with the highest fanbase Sohee left... I hope they'll at least be able to promote together under different agencies like Shinhwa or BEG.

5. [+25, -8] A married ajumma with a kid has no place in a female idol group

  2. I think she will do well in acting. Fighting Mandoo Sohee!!

  3. totally surprised that yenny and yubin renewed seeing as they're two of the more talented members... if i were them i would get the fuck out of JYP.

Good move on Sohee's part. Not really sure why Sunye renewed, the idol industry is very demanding and I don;t think she'll have enough time for her kid and family. Maybe if she were a regular singer it could work, but an idol...iffy. But she must know best.

  5. I love sohee. she's one of my fav kpop girls but I honestly think this is a good move for her? I mean, wg are in hiatus right now and sohee has never really been a great singer. It's a good chance for her to explore other options.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Hoping for the best for her. She needs to take care of herself since JYP doesn't seem to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  7. JYP said something like 'it depends on the members whether they want to promote as a group in future'

    ReplyDelete
  8. Also... Kara and WG incomplete... Oh no

    Really dude? Really?

  11. Just swims out of the sinking ship alone lol. Could've at least waited for the WG boat.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Leaving the sinking ship. All the best for her.

    ReplyDelete
  13. that's my skit tho lol.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sunye was a trainee for so long though. I feel like it'd be such a waste of all those years if she just quit without giving it another try :/

    ReplyDelete
  15. Sohee was so young when she debuted, and she had to give up a lot (like not even getting her GED until recently). If she's not a great singer or dancer, and JYP is barely paying attention WG, I can see why she'd be over the idol life. Sad, but not like she's leaving entertainment altogether. Wish her the best.

that's what i was thinking too...
brings me back to the old days when they haven't been sent off to america
    gosh i miss those days

  17. i love her and she knows what best for her. jyp is too busy with suzy to focus on her anymore and she knows it. Sohee is a star goddamn it! let her be great!

    ReplyDelete
  18. What? Sohee is bad at acting?? I think she is good. And i think sohee didnt like to sing at all. But all the best for WG and sohee :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. i read JYP's statement but it doesn't include Lim, does she renew the contract or not? poor WG.. i actually hope Sunmi will join WG back instead of going solo~

    ReplyDelete
  20. So Hee is good at acting.... wait and see

  21. My teenager's dream... They really changed my life around. Remember when I was 16, I was a really lost. I didn't know what to study and didn't know if I can attend university. Then I got to know about them, I really like them, I went aroud reading their news and fanfics, although my English is suck. Eventually, I found the interest in studying, especially in English, and my English got better, and I can attend university. The Wonder Girls, is not just an idol group for me, they are my hope, my friends, my supporters. Thank you. #ForeverWonder6irls

  22. she came later so maybe her contract doens't need to be renewed yet

    ReplyDelete
  23. after Nicole now Sohee. 2007 idols are still the best...

    ReplyDelete
  24. good move, even the big girl groups before them disbanded to pursue other things, it's better this way.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wow both the wonder girls and Kara members aren't renewing their contracts,. It really is coming to an end of an era.

    ReplyDelete
  26. well the only reason they're on hiatus is because Sunye got married, and she is persistent to stay in the group, and god knows when she will come back especially having to take care of a newborn child as well

    ReplyDelete
  27. Lim's contract doesn't end until December 2015 since she joined in 2010

    ReplyDelete
  28. IDK, I'll miss Sohee. Sorta sad, all these 2nd generation groups crumbling in front of your eyes...

    ReplyDelete
  29. ah right2..i didn't think bout it ~

    ReplyDelete
  30. this is only the begining of the end of the older generation idol groups

    ReplyDelete
  31. No one is surprised that Sohee left JYP... but Sunye renewing her contract?

    I'm floored.

  34. can't help it, i am sad

    ReplyDelete
  35. Why did Sunye renew...? I mean even if she wants to hop back after singing, give your kid at 4/5 years of attention before coming back as an idol. Like this isn't a regular job where you can just come back after maternal leave. Then again, maybe she won't be an idol but would work behind the scenes somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I wasn't expecting her to stay, honestly. I'm more surprised that Sunye renewed her contract. I wonder what she plans on doing? Anyway, it's sad but I'm still a fan of all 6 members and I'm sure they'll do well no matter what activities they decide to do.

    ReplyDelete
  37. one by one the group members from second generation of idols like wonder girls, tvxq5, ss501, suju are left.. so sad! the best generation of idol! they are the one who make kpop booming internationally..

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sunye can go solo, she has the voice for it

  40. yeeun got her own room for producing music, wrote songs for JYP artists and they're going to be released soon (she'll earn some money), took part in a drama and a musical in korea and japan this year. yubin had a drama only so im surprised she renewed.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I feel bad for the Rest of the Wonder Girls.

    ReplyDelete
  42. exactly, it's bound to happen, you can tell some idols want to focus on acting more

    ReplyDelete
  43. The only news i've heard about Joo lately is a confirmation that she's Ilhoon's big sister. JYP...where talent goes to dry up and die

    ReplyDelete
  44. don't worry. we'll still have t-ara.

    ReplyDelete
  45. i just hope Yubin wont renew the contract tbh..hopefully 2014 WG will be back again or else give us Yubin x Yenny sub unit (if this didn't happen i just want yubin to leave JYP too)
and its really good move for Sohee to not renew the contract and pursue her career on acting..

    ReplyDelete
  46. So... What will happen to Wonder Girls, dearest JYP?

    5. [+25, -8] A married ajumma with a kid has no place in a female idol group

if i was sohee i would be sooooo bitter. i would never resign with jyp entertainment.

    ReplyDelete
  48. she gave up any chances of "giving it another try" when she go married and had a kid. no one wants to see someones mom dancing around on stage. -.-

    ReplyDelete
  49. The end of the 2nd gen is coming

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm really waiting for Joo tho'. Where is she now? That girl really talented and her voice like.... Ah-ma-zing.

    ReplyDelete
  51. we're getting more solo singers and actors/actresses

    ReplyDelete
  52. Life as an artist is so difficult. You have hope and dreams to reach, but at the end people only adore you when you're on top. nobody would pick you up when you're fall.nobody. it's only yourself to gain strength. her life is her decision. She know what she do and what she want to achieve. Past is past. JYPE mistakes will be a lesson to other companies. Can we, netizens be more positives and cheerful whatever happen in a future, whatever decisions they made?

#sorry for my bad English, I'm from Mars.

    ReplyDelete
  53. NOOO T.T I love you Sohee. I wish her the best!

    ReplyDelete
  54. What's even weirder is that her primary country of residence is Canada. How is she going to be a kpop idol in Korea and a mother to her child?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Was that like 2008-2009? Man, time has passed...

    ReplyDelete
  56. They're Human TooDecember 11, 2013 at 2:38 AM

Exactly. She can't have her cake and eat it too. Pointless

    ReplyDelete

  60. ......*whispers* Beyonce.

    ReplyDelete
  61. idols that debuted in 2007 aren't the older generation… older generation idols are ones that debuted in 90s.

    ReplyDelete
  62. sunye renewed her contract? what a joke! maybe she'll do well in trot
feel bad for the rest of them especially my love yubin...stay strong babe. oh yea, good for you sohee

    ReplyDelete
  63. people who say sunye has no place being an idol as a mother... a great example of both entertainer and mother is beyonce, who is still successfully touring and being amazing. so why can't sunye do that? women are capable of BOTH mothering and working at the same time. they don't have to choose between our careers and our children, which is what society tells us.

ugh i usually avoid reading any nb articles pertaining to sunye for a reason.

    ReplyDelete
  64. !!!!!!!
    BIGGEST SHOCK OF THE CENTURY!!!
I wish Sohee the best of luck in her new endeavors. She really deserves it.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I feel like people severely underestimate the intelligence of, and do a lot of concern trolling towards WG... We have no idea of the nature of their conversations or contracts, I'm sure they are all are thinking rationally about how to support themselves and what makes them happy. Sunye is not going to throw the baby down a well slap on some hot pants and get back on the grueling idol schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  66. beyonce and sunye are on totally different levels. >.>

    ReplyDelete
  67. Yea she def does but everyone is gonna give her the taste of bitter hatred of leaving WG behind and such which I can understand as well. Tho I'm super happy that sunye has a beautiful family, I honestly don't know what she can do...

    ReplyDelete
  68. I hope that without Sohee, the group will still make their comeback next year... Sohee is really great in acting than singing tho.

    ReplyDelete
  69. True, but I'm just directly responding to that comment of 'no want wants to see a mom on stage' - I'm pretty sure most older female performers are mothers as well.

    ReplyDelete
  70. hikes, don't say it. I feel old in Kpopyears.. all the bands I liked are going towards their 30ties or to military…

    ReplyDelete
  71. did anyone honestly think wonder girls would promote together again? Sunye is married with a kid. The right thing for them to do is move onto their solo paths

    ReplyDelete
  72. I feel old now.. ss501,tvxq, super junior, kara and now wg are all incomplete. Soshi don't leave us!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. it's sad that once suzy got popular, sohee was pushed back and ended with almost no acting experience. i guess she'll be Lee jin of 2nd gen idols.

    ReplyDelete
  74. "reportedly WG's Sohee met some agency recently. Since her contract expires soon, people speculates her quit from JYP for actress career."

    all the best for sohee!

    ReplyDelete
  75. but she did.. it says in the title under the picture. they didn't say anything about Lim though..

    ReplyDelete
  76. yep all the oppas will start going to the army soon too

    ReplyDelete
  77. Well this year sucked.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm really surprised Sunye renewed her contract cuz that was the last thing I would expect. I'm not surprised Sohee is leaving though. I don't blame any of them and I think it was JYP's bad move that caused their downfall. I used to really like them even before I got into kpop or knew any of the other idol groups, I'm just sad because they had so much potential and the members are all pretty young still. I mean Sohee & Hyelim are still freaking only TWENTY ONE... idols' prime time is like 16-30 more or less so they still have ten years to work as an idol. Sigh I'm kinda sad but I hope the best for them and I hope they made the best decision.

    ReplyDelete
  79. If Sunye doesn't renew, netizens will hate on her for ditching the group. But now that she renewed, netizens are still hating on her. Sunye's a good leader and a good person... she doesn't deserve this and I'm glad she doesn't give a damn about netizens and shove it right in their faces.

    ReplyDelete
  80. UPDATE: sohee has still time to decide, she's not officially leaving JYP yet

    ReplyDelete
  81. I'm glad they helped you through the tough times :')

    ReplyDelete
  82. I guess Wonder Girls is officially dead. Unless JYP tries to put a new gen together.

    ReplyDelete
  83. well... as far as i know, sunye is the 2nd most popular in korea in wg even after her marriage. and... sohee is of no use in terms of the vocals to the group.

    ReplyDelete
  84. snsd's contracts are almost up......looking at kara and wg you can never say for sure nobody will leave..lots goes on behidn the scenes...wonder if snsd members will leave too....

    ReplyDelete
  85. what's wrong with renewing? she was offered the contract... if the company doesn't see much use in her, why offer? lol.

    ReplyDelete
  86. oh i mean after her contract ends next year.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Well..I didn't expected Sunye to renew her contract, I think she should have waited until her baby reach 5 or 6 yo
Btw I think Sohee made a great decision, now she can do what she want to do..instead of rooting behind T-T

    ReplyDelete
  88. she has the smallest fanbase and public recognition, she had a scandal, her latest release in 2010 didn't do well, i expect her to leave jyp when her contract ends. and i won't blame her for that.

    ReplyDelete
  89. It has more to do with being in an *idol* group but I don't think she will continue the same path as Wonder Girls that we have known.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Joo needs to bounce like San E. Look at how much he's getting to promote well! I've only ever see Joo in pictures no relearses

    ReplyDelete
  91. pics of her drinking when she was underage and kissing her bf came out and that's when she decided to go on hiatus.

    ReplyDelete
  92. She will obviously be doing ccm activities. People are so dumb. Even before she got married, she was offered many CCM opportunities... this is not about money or fame, it is about her belief.

    ReplyDelete
  93. if im not wrong 15& is releasing an album this december

    ReplyDelete
  94. 4. [+1,098, -173] Sunye's fault

Alot of people think Sunye is selfish, do you or do you not? Why?

    ReplyDelete
  95. not t-ara LOL they just flopped with their new song

    ReplyDelete
  96. Oh for real? Sunye an ajumma?? Are you crazy? So great to see that Madonna Christina Aguilera Britney Beyonce Mariah and a long etc of mothers who still running the business!
    Hate machismo!

    ReplyDelete
  97. I feel really bad for Lim for some reason

    ReplyDelete
  98. So what, lol. Everyone hated Sunmi for abandoning the ship too but her solo single did so well.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Good for her! The girl is still only 21, there's still so much she can accomplish with the right company backing her.

    ReplyDelete
  100. JYP, what have u done??? they should let WG make comeback with Sunmi and let Sunye left the group.. but what is this??? omg

    ReplyDelete
  101. are they gonna add new member?

    ReplyDelete
  102. Because she is the main vocalist and she can have a solo career?

What is with this perception that mothers can't be idols???

    ReplyDelete
  103. sign...I don't even like WG but seeing this kinda make me sad

    ReplyDelete
  104. Sunye's seen as an idol in korea, thats why people are so against it

    ReplyDelete
  105. She's stuck with a kind of weird job on some youtube Kpop channel.

    ReplyDelete
  106. why can't JYP let Sunye just leave the group and let others continue to promote as WG???

    ReplyDelete
  107. i really HIGHLY doubt snsd wouldn't renew. the difference between the groups is that there was problems with WG and KARA, not only behind the scenes but shoved in the public eye which amplifies it more. whatever problems snsd may have, we don't know about them. which makes it easier for them to deal with. not to mention they're still going strong as korea's #1 girl group - it makes no sense to abandon what they have when there's so much more to lose if they break up.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Esp knowing you're considered an idol

    ReplyDelete
  109. I don't think it's about 'letting.' She renewed of her own free will. That's why a lot of people are surprised.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I heard she was supposed to be a movie.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Sohee can finally get the career she deserves by going into acting. She can get roles because of her fanbase and looks without having to go through the pain of lounging around in JYP's basement as part of a fallen idol group. I wish her well.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Wow, first Kara and now Wonder Girls. This makes me remember Star Golden Bell and how those generation of idol groups always guested in there...

    ReplyDelete
  113. Why is choosing to have a family and yet, have a career at the same time, selfish?

Would you say that of any other female in the workplace?

    ReplyDelete
  114. I was almost certain Sunye won't be renewing and 50/50 that Sohee will renew. How different through the real thing! So sad if WG really disbanded, or can Sunmi be added into the mix since she is an original WG?

    ReplyDelete
  115. "If Sunye doesn't renew, netizens will hate on her for ditching the group."

No, it seemed most netizens had accepted Wonder Girls as the original five is out of the picture as soon as Sunye got married.

    ReplyDelete
  116. But none of the females were a Kpop IDOL. The Kpop industry is all about debuting in your teens and hopefully becoming popular for a few years. It's the very rare (and so far only male) groups that can continue into their 30s. If Sunye was a regular singer then I would say she probably could make a comeback. But the odds are against her for returning as an Idol.

    ReplyDelete
  117. The girls have already hinted on a lot of activities scheduled next year: sub-unit, another group album, another Japanese tour, etc. Taeyeon sort of confirmed that they would have a lot of things to do in 2014 as a group. I don't think they anyone would leave just yet in SNSD.

    ReplyDelete
  118. sure i'm all for working mothers but this is kpop it won't work here

    ReplyDelete
  119. She shouldnt be considered as an idol if shes going solo, something else. Idol to me is like something mostly teenagers are into

    ReplyDelete
  120. What do they want from her? They blamed her for leaving the team when they needed her, and now they blamed her for staying in the team? Even without her decision, Sohee is gonna leave anyway... so are these netizens truly concerned for WG? No. It is just that Sunye is more newsworthy.

    ReplyDelete
  121. i dont think she's selfish. WG could have a comeback without her.

    ReplyDelete
  122. The contract would have ended if her baby is 5 or 6 yrs old. Noone knows what the details of her contract are. It might give her more freedom as a working mother than you think.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Like I said, I'm just directly responding to that comment above. Idols have it difficult due to their constant promotions, but it's not like it's impossible for Sunye to jump back in later. I just rather her wait instead of now so soon after giving birth but she's a grown woman, I'm sure she knows what is in store for her now since she renewed.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Nope, they were the ones who hated on her for leaving the group... especially when there were rumors about WG disbanding earlier on.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Sohee enjoy acting than being a singer, It's her true intention and first priority in the beginning. So yeah! I'll still support you sohee!!

    ReplyDelete
  126. yea. She trained for such a long period of time, only to be put in the WG's during a time they were already beginning to lose their popularity.

    ReplyDelete
  127. And where did I say she can't? I'm more concerned if she happens to want to return so soon after having her kid. She can be an idol down the road, but her renewing her contract now makes it seem like she's resume idol activities sooner than a few years which is needed for her child.

    ReplyDelete
  128. and then they'll fall of the face of the earth again because their album won't be memorable. I'm so mad they're not being used to their full potential

    ReplyDelete
  129. No, I meant waiting before renewing her contract, I don't if it's possible but, I was thinking like that.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Im asking you the question, im not saying shes selfish

    ReplyDelete
  131. Why does everyone suddenly think they know whats best for her? Lol
She's a grown woman with a family. I'm sure she thought about well and knows whats best for her

    ReplyDelete
  132. I actually think Sohee should model. She's more of a model than a singer or actress tbh. Her features are unique and she has good proportions considering she's not that tall.

    ReplyDelete
  133. And I don't think SM is stupid to let their main girl group go just like that. Regardless of each member's popularity, SM rakes in profits from each girl's individual activities. I don't think anyone has been left behind this year from dramas, even movie, musicals, variety shows, magazine photoshoots, OSTs, endorsements, etc. Even Sunny, Hyoyeon, and Sooyoung are pretty busy with their own thing this year.

    ReplyDelete
  134. and i thought they could make comeback somehow after seeing Sunmi's comeback.. i'm just being delusional..

    ReplyDelete
  135. Sohee made the right decision. WG are over. I think the best move for her would to take some acting roles and go from there. I think it would be cool to see her branch out as a model/fashionista and start her own line of clothing or accessories or something, but that probably won't happen. I wonder why idols don't start their own brands.

    ReplyDelete
  136. It's sad when you watch a group that made up a big part of your adolescent yeats deteriorate like this....

    ReplyDelete
  137. It's not a selfish move on her part. If anyone could be come as close to selfish here, it's JYP. He could have done a lot of things to keep WG even without Sunye, but he wanted to keep them all and is now almost officially losing the group's most popular member.

    ReplyDelete
  138. She is in pops in seoul also

    ReplyDelete
  139. I'm sorry, but that's bullshit. Just because a woman has a kid doesn't mean she stops being her own person with a career and ambitions. That's so sexist.

And anyways, if Sunye does decide to continue her career, does anyone really think she's the type who would come out with a sexy or cutesy little-girl concept? I don't see why Sunye couldn't be a successful R&B/Ballad singer if she chose to.

    ReplyDelete
  140. As a fan of some 2nd generation idol groups, I also hope that snsd won't leave just yet.

    ReplyDelete
  141. You forget Beyonce debuted as a teenager in a girl group too, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  142. drinking/smoking pics

    ReplyDelete
  143. 4. [+45, -2] Wonder Girls fans have lost all hope. Sunye, the only one who is of no help at all to the group, renewed her contract while the group's member with the highest fanbase Sohee left... I hope they'll at least be able to promote together under different agencies like Shinhwa or BEG.

    Sohee has the highest fanbase?

  144. She had a song with IVY too.

  145. she's my bias so im really sad about this. I hope she does well in the future :'(

  146. Nicole, then Sohee. The top girlgroups are going down

    ReplyDelete
  147. But she didn't stay in a girl group and she showed great ability as a solo singer even back then (Destiny's Child totally had her as the center). That and Beyoncé was not a Kpop idol.

  148. I'm sure GG will renew.

  149. It's a sad day. End of an era. Even KARA's breakup saddened me, and I didn't even follow them. This is truly the end of a once legendary group.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Yes, I don't think they will be breaking up any time soon.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I'm a...little sad. What use is WG without the original it girl Sohee and angelic voice Sunye (face it she can't put devote the time to WG as she used to). But I'm sort of happy to see her leave, she has a lot more to give. Wishing you all the best Sohee

    ReplyDelete
  152. I really thought that was the plan!

    ReplyDelete
  153. It's not as easy as it seems. Many of the idols who release some sort of self-designed items did not make it big.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Been a fan from the very start and I will always be their fan till the end. Some netizens are so cruel, the WG are already having a hard time, just how do you think they feel?

    ReplyDelete
  155. Smart move on her part. I always like Sohee as an actress anyway

    ReplyDelete
  156. It has always been Sohee > Sunye > Yeeun > Yubin > Lim in Korea

    ReplyDelete
  157. I always wonder if they actually did come back with a song would they top charts and would be people really care? I feel like even if somehow they all came back together people wouldn't care, which is sad and it upsets me. I think netizens only voice their opinions/concern when there are scandals or something interesting that happens, but otherwise they just ignore them. It is smart for her to leave... but my Wonderful heart hurts :(

    ReplyDelete
  158. Her contract will end on 21 Dec, thereafter there is no chance of renewal. Many WG fans DO want to see them together someday, and it is only right that Sunye renew the contract... but I highly doubt she will comeback as a full idol.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Omg... I was watching "Happy Rose Day" earlier and when I was watching her act, I kept thinking, "She can actually succeed with acting. She should move companies." Damn...

  160. UPDATE: sohee has still time to decide, she's not officially leaving JYP yet

    ReplyDelete
  161. yeah but yeeun is talented enough to get signed to another agency that will promote her more than JYP does, so that's why it's a surprise.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Different situations before and after. She was criticized for leaving the group BEFORE leaving the group. She left after all. That already happened. Netizens wouldn't care if she didn't renew her contract at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  163. If she gets a better offer from a different agency that will actually manage her the way she wants, she'll leave. I wouldn't blame her.

    ReplyDelete
  164. seriously, a 23/24 year old girl suddenly becomes an ahjumma just for marrying and having kids... -_-

    ReplyDelete
  165. I didn't expect Sunye to renew, but since most of them are still with JYPE, I hope WG gets the promotions as a group they deserve.

    ReplyDelete
  166. seriously... :( it's like the end of an era.
at least ss501 had a mini reunion last month singing one (?) song and suju is still kinda together (only officially missing one member, one forever on hiatus, and 2 in the army), i dont know whats going on with kara anymore tho and thinking about tvxq just makes me sad :(
i think soshi will stay fora while at least though. they always talk about the power of 9 ^^

    ReplyDelete
  167. they had a comeback? didnt they have one not that long ago with the pool party thing?

    ReplyDelete
  168. As a loyal Wonderful since the beginning I come to get used to these shocking news regarding the girls. I will still support each and every one of them wholeheartedly regardless of what they plan on doing.
I fell in love with their songs at first, but I learned quickly just how amazing these individuals are and for that they are always gonna be idols for me, not in the entertainment business, but in real life.
Good luck girls and remember that there are still a lot of wonderfuls out there thanking you for everything you've done ;)

    ReplyDelete
  169. Though we all kinda saw this coming, it's sad how the older girl groups are starting to go their separate ways. Soshi is the only solid group left from the WonSoKa line.

  170. SNSD won't be leaving anytime soon. I heard some members signed a shorter contract (6 years) and some have longer ones (I heard it was Yoona with a 13 year contract) but they're all still earning a lot of money, so for the business aspects, SM wont let them leave easily. If they want to leave, SM will offer more incentives. And all the girls are treated fairly equally lately, getting their individual activities in areas they are good at, so even if they don't comeback every year, they can still do whatever they want whether it be photoshoot, acting, CFs, dancing, MCing, etc. while still being under the group snsd

    ReplyDelete
  171. she's on arirang tv. Saw her on tv the other day.
Honestly, she doesn't look thrilled being there doing nothing but praising popular idol groups and singing a minute or so of their songs

    ReplyDelete
  172. A married ajumma with a kid has no place in a female idol group

I hate this idea that once a woman gets married/has a kid, she can't have a career anymore. As far as being an idol as long as they go the adult, BEG road instead of say the aegyo-filled A Pink one, I don't really see the problem tbh.
