1. [+348, -26] In America, The Hunger Games was a novel as popular as the Harry Potter series so of course the movie will be popular, especially since it also has Jennifer Lawrence, who's at the prime of her career. In Korea, the novel was never that popular and Jennifer Lawrence has low public recognition so I can see why the movie isn't doing well here... I personally loved the novel and found the second movie more enjoyable than the first.

2. [+296, -42] I thought it was one of the best Hollywood movies I've seen in a long time. The second was a lot better than the first... I wonder why it's not doing well in Korea ㅜ

3. [+208, -28] The Hunger Games is so fun ㅋㅋㅋ Plot, quality, and acting are all really good. It's not your average fantasy movie ㅋㅋ

4. [+21, -7] Really upsetting that The Hunger Games isn't popular in Korea because I think it's a lot better quality than the romantic fantasy Twilight, which actually did well in Korea. Jennifer Lawrence's acting outshines her peers.

5. [+20, -2] Why does it have to do well in Korea just because it's doing well in America...?

6. [+17, -7] Well, the first movie didn't do well in Korea so of course the second won't do well (I blame the lack of marketing, there are a ton of people who have never even heard of the title).. and unlike the Harry Potter series where you can jump into any of the movies and follow along, you're lost for 30 minutes in The Hunger Games 2 if you never saw the first one. And Jennifer Lawrence is considered a goddess in America while Koreans find her rather ugly (Majority of Asia thinks she has a great body but a below average face). There also aren't any charming male leads and the male characters are all really passive so the movie also failed at drawing in a female audience.

7. [+12, -3] The movie's considered a fantasy blockbuster in America but Koreans have never even heard of the title, let alone know that it's a three part series... I thought the poster looked really boring but ended up watching it for Jennifer Lawrence.
