Article: Sunye's uncle "I hope it's a daughter... it wasn't a shotgun marriage... no disbandment"

1. [+123, -18] What does the uncle's opinion matter regarding their disbandment? Such an unnecessary interview. It's the producers that decide whether they're keeping the team or not, it's not like the uncle even works at JYP. Even if Sunye herself says there's no disbandment, it doesn't matter because it's the upper ups that decide that, not her.

2. [+106, -12] Don't compare this situation and our suggestions that she leave the group as an act of discrimination against women or as a comparison to what women have to face in the real world and at work. If a singer like Lee soo Young had said that she was coming back after having a kid, nobody would be thinking "Oh no, she has a kid now, she's not charming anymore, her album won't sell". A mother can certainly be a singer! There are actually a lot of mothers in the music industry.

It's just that being in a girl group comes with certain characteristics and it's not musicality that's emphasized but dancing in cute or sexy miniskirts that is. You can't deny that. The public will have a difficult time accepting the mother of a child as an idol and a girl group member. That means they're going to suffer a drop in popularity.

And why is it that the other members are being forced by her to wait for two years for their career? As we all know, the lifespan of idol groups are extremely short... Do they really expect their fans to wait that long for them? Their fandom has already lost a significant chunk while they were away in America.

3. [+83, -12] They can say this now but I don't expect a comeback from the Wonder Girls anymore.

4. [+60, -2] Sunye IS selfish. Sure, they can plan a comeback next year but do they really think that makes sense? Even if she were to prepare immediately after having her child, it'd be a big stretch. I don't even see her as the type of person who'd prioritize performing on stage over raising her own kid. I thought she'd be away for a few months to enjoy her newlywed life before coming back but the fact that she didn't even use contraceptives and got pregnant means she doesn't give a rat's tail about the Wonder Girls. I pity the remaining four.

5. [+44, -12] They're not even that popular now and are well behind other rookie groups. They'd be lucky if they started promoting now and got anywhere and yet they want people to wait two years? We all know they're just going to release a Korean album and take the money to fly back to America.

6. [+39, -8] Who the hell would consider a mother as an idol? Can you imagine anyone liking an ajumma with a kid coming out and dancing and singing as an idol? If she had any shame at all, she should let the Wonder Girls continue without her.

7. [+36, -13] Isn't her husband rich? Why is this b*tch so greedy, I never saw her that way before

8. [+35, -6] For a career that relies on your image as a product... She seriously can't expect the public to continue considering her as an idol after having a kid

9. [+30, -4] I never imagined the Wonder Girls to drop this low.... They used to be a group you couldn't even compare SNSD to...

10. [+25, -0] So during the months she gives birth and raises her child, are the other members expected to just wait around and suck on their fingers out of hunger? Totally disrespectful to the other members..
