[Telzone] Netizens pressure movie company to edit out Hot Blood Kangho

Telzone: T-ara's agency taken down by netizens

Post about the popular webtoon 'Secretly, Greatly' being turned into a movie. Once the still cuts were released, netizens were "shocked" upon seeing Co-Ed's Kangho as a member of the cast.

Once they found out, netizens launched a boycott against the movie online, saying they refuse to watch it if they keep Kangho's casting.

Showbox responded to the boycott saying that they forwarded the concerns to the appropriate authorities.

'MCMC Films', the production company, later came out with an announcement basically saying that they have decided to edit out footage of the "problematic actor" out of the movie entirely.

1. [+70] Why can't you say it loud and proud! I am Rapist Kangho

2. [+58] I think CCM seriously doesn't give a crap about morals. But then again, their CEO has crap for brains... Pathetic how he got caught trying to stick this kid in a minor role and still managed to lose it.

3. [+53] Co-Ed rapist idols! It can't even be that easy to find a bunch of rapists to put together a boy group with... What a brave attempt!

  1. If this kid is actually innocent of that stuff, then i feel bad for him, cuz he's losing work.
The rape rumor was about one individual, how did it turn into the whole group? no logic at all in that last comment.

  2. didn't the accused admitted to lying about the whole rape thing?

  3. That poor man the girl lied and it ruined him, he's just trying to make a living but these people don't give him a chance, I hope he finds strenght and courage to keep living and doesn't think about suicide. I'll pray for him

  4. He was proven guilty of rape.
Funny thing is CCM noised about it instead of hushing it up.
Bad publicity is still publicity for ccm.

  6. The point is most legal systems are dominated by men, and most men get faster promotion and when they have done some investigations into some of these police, judges and barristers perception of rape victims they find they are overly skeptical. One of the first questions rape victims get asked is "What were you wearing?" that immediately is insinuating some blame on the woman from the start. The system doesn't give women benefit of the doubt and thats where it matters, its only when the evidence mounts which could take years and several victims before the rapist is finally locked up. I am not talking about this guys case but in general.
There was another case were a woman was known for one night stands but was raped because a man had the assumption she would do anyone. She said no to him but he forced himself on her anyway. People refused to believe her when she told someone she was raped and insulted her, some even said she deserved it. They assumed someone who was known to enjoy sex can't be 'raped'. They had no sympathy for the damage rape does to a victim, to be stripped of you human statis to be treated like an object for someone else to just use. To have someone force themselves inside you physically and mentally can leave a person unsure how to cope, question their worth, so many things. Some victims may not be able to talk to other people about it but maybe it helps them to get it out in an anon format.

  7. "Would you think so lightly of a potential guy being a rapist if the victim turned out to be your sister or girlfriend, or your own child in future? " This is what's wrong about this entire subject whenever it arises, no one ever wants to look at this logically and your posts just smacks me in the face of a chick who is wrath with emotion. Let me be the one to tell you that emotions do nothing but help obscure logic reasoning and ultimately the truth. If you could learn to look at these instances with a narrow line of logic reasoning you would see that in not all cases people should be trusted in telling the truth.

    ReplyDelete
  8. What Evidence? Why was she lying? What proof id there that she lied? Or is it just your perception of the world applied to her evidence that your have drawn the conclusion that what she said had no truth? If you say people can not claim someone is a rapist until it has been proven fine, it is very reputation damaging but equally you can not claim a person is lying until that has been proven so in this case until either is validated the man can be considered both a rapist and not a rapist and the girl both a victime and not a victim, you're word is no more valid than ours and hence why judgement should be reserved until prove.

However your misogenistic statements are what is getting people riled and the types of phrasing you are using are typical of those that cause rape victims an even harder time in coming forward and putting people in prison. People want to minimise people like your kind of sentiments because its part of the foundation of the problem that is the legal systems ability to deal effectively with rape cases.
With your final words you have shown you are simply a 'bratty' individual with possibly a low mental capacity which struggles to absorb alternative views and resorts to name calling to try and appear superior in an argument. If you are unwilling or unable to graps the full meaning of a topic or the arguments being presented or refuse to take time to read about the subject and educate yourself to parttake in a discussion than your opinions will have little standing, and ultimately are useless. fortunately by the number of down votes there are readers who understand and do not agree with you.

  9. Wow what a sad world living as students there, are you a Korean? Im actually planning to have my master degree in SK but now I have to think about it, I also heard about how racist SK people are

  10. Shitty people and extremely low standards than your average agency, to be precise ;)

    ReplyDelete
  11. The only good ones are Davichi, they are the best singers in the company imo, no idea about the attitude though, maybe the same as the rest but with more talent than that trashy group

  12. Thanks, btw why don't you have an avatar?

    ReplyDelete
  13. A lot of pre-debut picutres with Kangho and his friends.. he looked like one of those "tough" guys and always had an angry expression on his face. BTW, why do people automatically think rape is always the fault of the guy? (or assault for that matter) For all we know Kangho didn't ask permission from the girl and she didn't say anything but they still did it - that's STILL considered rape since she didn't give consent. She could have wanted the d but not say anything so technically Kangho IS considered a rapist.

  14. You said everything I wanted to say. Thank you. :)

  15. Back in 2010 I gave my reasons for why I didn't think the incident ever happened and why I thought she was a lying bitch and yet I got kicked off of Omona because of my opinions. Didn't give her the benefit of the doubt because it was obvious to me that she was lying.

  16. Yup, those groups are the worst, I think they are offering their bodies to the CEO so they can become an idols

    ReplyDelete
  17. Because MANY times, the system doesn't protect women enough. What do you think happens when a rapist comes out of a 6 month jail term? I don't need much imagination to know they'd probably NOT be on the track of going to the woman to apologize.

  18. Seriously, ccm is the most fucked up company ever. And kangho really is ALOT worse than typical iljins. When I lived in Korea, I've seen tons of iljins but I've never seen one who was as bad as him. I was so shocked when I read through his schoolmates' posts. I never knew such a person could exist.

  19. I cant really speak the language though, I watch a lot of SK variety shows but thats it lol, well I think every country have their own plus and minuses, I've stayed in a small country like Singapore for 6 years and gotta say its a good experience for me, I think I gotta take my chances by going there, lol, thanx mate :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. FUCK YEA! NETIZEN POWER! CCM is going down with all it's immoral & Delinquent members.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Exactly. Girls always end up looking bad. No girl comes out of rape looking 'cool' and all like 'hey, yall, I just got raped and assaulted and beaten up against my will, unfairly by stronger guys who can't control their animal instincts, but it's fine and shit cos girls just jumped by males just about every day all over the world and babies probably won't come out of this unhappy experience right? Cos I don't get lottery ticket wins, so I shouldn't 'win' a baby too and I ain't planning to be a mom and the public won't scorn me for aborting it, so it's all great and stuff and everyone have a fine day.'

    NO.

Every one is entitled to some self dignity, and rape takes away just about all of that. That's low, even lower than taking away people's material goods. That's low, sexist, disgusting and everything I loathe, and will not change my opinion about that.

Rape cases and child molestation cases, in my books will be held in contempt until proven otherwise and not 'BECAUSE HE'S MY OPPAR/BUDDY, HE'S ABSOLVED OF ALL TERRIBLE THINGS ON EARTH, AND I WILL DENY IT REGARDLESS'.

    NO.

  22. Don't forget her big ugly nose, that's another "charm point" of her, she will be responsible for the fuglyness, and for being the paedobait for uncle fans.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Okay but come on, Omona is filled with social justice whiners who believe "our way or the highway". You can't judge ALL women because of them.

  24. "With that thought, you women all are horrible people. Peace."

Well that definitely says a lot about you.

  25. one is innocent until proven guilty. was he charged? was he found guilty by the court? yet netizens blew everything out of proportion

  26. Lol wouldn't be surprised if most of the trainees are hookers or something related to such, or at least delinquents themselves hahaha.

Gotta feel sorry for the employees and sane people there. How they manage to put up with so much BS all the time is a miracle.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm sure even CCM has its own share of relatively sane singers and idols aside from Davichi - the problem is that the number of cray crays like Kangho, pretty much half of T-ara and Co-Ed etc. outnumbers them by far.

And of course there's also the victims. First it was Nam Gyuri, then Soomi, then Hwayoung and God knows how many more others are being shoved crap by their CEO or under pressure, fear, threats or bullied from the crazies in their own groups.

Reminds me of my experience in middle school in Korea, junior year - there was one guy who was ostracized by everyone in the class and beaten, thieved and mocked by the iljins so often I even lost count by my first week there - everyone else had to either ignore or play along otherwise they risked getting the same treatment :/

Okay, now I'm getting sidetracked lol. But damn, I really regret not sticking up for the guy. Alas, what can one guy do against 50 iljins, especially when even the teachers don't do shit. Ugh, such a cruel world we live in.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yep, I could probably get a job in CCM even easier than a street vendor.

That's how low the standards are lol. Hell, I even wonder how CCM gets so many nutjobs all housed in one building.

  29. Never forget, sex machine Hyomin

  30. I think all hookers can go to CCM if they want to become idols, lol

    ReplyDelete
  31. Going by the whole 'cigarettes and fucking old men' part, one could assume that's how Hyomin encountered Kim Kwang Soo prior to actually getting in CCM.

I swear, the only 'sane' people in that company (staff like drivers, receptionists and so forth, Davichi, Shannon, Boram and Qri being a big MAYBE and before leaving, Yangpa) must have felt like hell to be surrounded by such delinquents every day.

Kangho sounds like a pure evil worse than all the other iljins I remember back when I was at Korea a long while back >__> Seems like school violence and iljins as a whole are getting worse every damn year. Since one of the iljins at my high school nearly killed a friend of mine by stoning him at the head, it's really scary to imagine what Kangho's capable of aside from rape. The guy sounds like he could become a full-time thug or some shit.

  32. Too lazy to put one tbh lol. Actually I've been thinking of putting a hyuna picture since she's my bias.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Its sad, as soon as there is a public known rape alligation there will be people who jump to conclusions and too many people side with the 'star' thinking the victim is attention seeking.
Rape does take away self dignity and admitting to rape brings reprocussions of other men not finding you attractive because you are 'used' already (just look at the comments IU gets, she's lost her charm because someone else has 'had' her, the mindset that women are posessions and their purity is part of their 'value' still exists) which can damage a victim in the eyes of their friends and family, its a violation that goes beyond the physcial act and change the way others percieve you for the rest of you life. It has severe consequences, Alice Sebold's book 'lucky' about her rape experience, which has obviously strongly affected her as a person shows how difficult it was for her being the only victim of many prepared to pursue her attack and it took years. Her friend got raped by the same guy and his associate to scare her into keeping quiet and then her friend's dad blamed HER for what happened to his daughter and her friend refused to testify because she was so scared. Rape and then pursuing the legal prosecuation has long term reprocussions that many victims can't cope with, which is why victims or suspected victims deserve compassion until proven otherwise. Sometimes victims mislay blame, it doesn't mean they weren't raped but it does mean who they claim was the attacker is innocent and both can suffer. Its pointing to know that countries with a good infrastructure and better equal rights have high recorded cases of rape, not because it happens more but because there is the support for victims and their cases are more sucessful.

Its unfortunate that a few people who have little respect for the seriousness of the crime and some women have tried to use it to get back at others which has resulted in the development of strong skepticism against legitimate claims along side the out of date opinion that women 'ask for it' and many men not fully understanding what constitutes as 'rape' . Sadly those women through silliness and selfishness have given people a reason to be suspicious and made it more difficult for actually victims. People would rather latch onto the belief that someone they like didn't commit sexual assualt than face reality so they would rather blame the victim but the truth is we don't know what happens behind closed doors.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Huh? Is it proven now? Did he confess? What happened? oô

    ReplyDelete
  35. I heard about the pregnant rumour as well, but there's just simply no evidence at all so I can't say if it's true or not.

And as everybody knows, Hyuna has alot of haters so I'm not surprised that a rumour like that would pop up. Not that I'm defending her because she's my bias, but people were bashing her with it. We shouldn't bash her it until it's proven to be true.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yep, I think so too. Thank you for answering ^^ It's actually okay to defend your bias ~

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yes, yes it is. I've been dealing with rape victims my whole life and there are plenty of cases in which the victim feels more comfortable talking about the rape/rapist on the internet then in real life. It's easier since no one would know it is you and the online life seems detached from your reality. There is a site just for things like that: http://www.sixbillionsecrets.com/ If you go there you can see many rape claims and even worse things. Actually, one of those persons I deal with confessed to being raped there and even though she said it online, she doesn't have the courage to say it to her family and friends in real life. So, to answer your question: Yes, rape victims DO handle themselves like that. It's easier and safer for them.

Now, stop shaming rape victims and calling the girl a 'lying bitch'. You will never know how a rape victim would react unless you are one or you have people close to you who have been victims of rape. You are a shame to all good and decent males out there just for the simple fact of being of the same sex as them and I honestly hope you never breed, because having you as a father the child is bound to have the same views as you...and that would be a shame. Just imagine being a father to a beautiful little girl, love her with all the life there is in you and watch her grow into a beautiful young lady just to have something like that happen to her, if you found out she said online that she was raped would you call her a 'lying bitch' as well? Would you like to know that she wouldn't come to you to talk about it because she was afraid you would call her an attention whore? Would you doubt her as well and let her to deal with it knowing no one believed her because, after all: Innocent until proven guilty? I fear for your future children. I really really really hope this never happens with your daughter or some you love, the thought of you shaming/disbelieving them would be just as bad as the rape itself.

  38. NB comments are really worse than AKP or any other kpop-related site out there, now people are even defending rape here. tsk tsk.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh, I'm sorry, didn't knew we had an specialist here. As someone that works in the justice system I can say that I'm a pretty logical person and, after years of law school and various rape cases, I can say that rape victims should never be doubt. There have been various persons who were convicted for rape solely on testimonies and accusations. Are you saying the Judges and the Jury responsible for convicting them are wrong? They didn't had any emotional attachment to the victim and Judges are trained their whole career to judge logically and without bias. I would say they are pretty qualified to sort the matter and they do. Someone might not be guilty just because he was accused with rape, but he isn't innocent until proven guilty either. Once you are accused you are already under doubt of being innocent, after all accusations are used as proof in court and it applies to both female and male victims. Stop saying bullshit about things you have no knowledge of, if you want to be an smartass go on Yahoo Answers or Createdebate or something.

  40. Man there's couple of CCM issues these days...

    ReplyDelete
  41. are you saying victims of rape should stay quiet about it forever?

    ReplyDelete
  42. im kinda lost... last time i read, it was a rumor then he said he was going to act instead of being an idol... was he found guilty on the trial? O_o for real, what happened?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Anyone who is defending Kangho is a piece of shit. Even if you don't believe the one statement from the raped girl, there were more than 20 accounts and confessions of him bullying, stealing, beating people, and sexually harassing people. The fact that he was even allowed to remain in the company after that huge shit ball of a scandal is suspicious as hell. The rumors of his father being a mob boss/ rich are prolly true if he wasn't kicked out after.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I agree, one is innocent until proven guilty, so why wasn't he charged? Didn't the police investigate the rape incident if he rape 2 or 3 girls? And if the legal system are dominated by men, or don't protect women enough or the police can easily be bought, there are NGOs that help rape victims, and will gladly help you fight the rapist (I worked for an NGO's for a couple of years), there are NGO's in SK, aren't there?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Okay, I see your point of how people shouldn't believe all rape cases, because some women do lie (in fact, I know a girl who lied about it), but you do realise that you're hurting victims of rape right now, don't you?
People are afraid to open up about it because of what they'll be called. There was once a case of man whose name I forget, but he was a high celeb and he raped a girl. That girl was then repeatedly called thousands of names under the sun. No one believed her and they said, "Why would X need to rape someone? He's so handsome!"
And then it turned out that he and a collegue of his hand drugged her and then took it in turns to rape her.
    It works both ways.
And in fact, I see you as no different to the people who insulted her and trashed her when they believed her to be lying, because "oppar would never do that".

You're basically insulting people who have been raped, and that is a horrible thing to do. Have you not considered the hurt they are going through right now? What if someone who had recently been molested had happened upon your comment? Do you not think that their self-worth would be diminished and tarnished?
But you're too busy caught up in your anti-feminism/anti-whatever-the-heck-you-wanna-call-it streak.

Women are horrible people because some empathise and sympathise with the victims? What does that make men then? They also do that. I know many guys who get extremely annoyed over rape cases because they don't see it as right that a man or a woman should be abused in such a way. Are they horrible people, too?

Seriously, think about what you say before you post. Your words have negative impact, and you're just being disrespectful and ignorant right now.

YOU believe that he never raped her. That is YOUR opinion. Sadly, the majority of the internet population would have to disagree or would have no opinion on the matter.

You've no need to insult rape victims just because of this one case and because you're annoyed that Kangho is still being treated as a rapist.
    Grow the fuck up.
