The host was Seth Macfarlane, the creator of Family Guy and American Dad, both of which are shows that in Korea would be viewed as trashy due to its provocative jokes. Macfarlane received mixed reviews in America but he's still regarded as a prodigy in American entertainment and is worth a lot for his ideas.
As for the musical performance itself, the reactions from the actresses were previous recordings that they fit into the musical (you can tell from the different dresses they're wearing). In the end, when they're showing the actual reactions, you can tell they were all laughing.
The article misleads netizens to think that this was controversial but it would've only been controversial in our country and the host would've obviously been exiled out of not only the industry but his life, but please understand that Americans have a different humor sense than us, and this proves it.
