  2. wow i think this is the first time GD spoke about this on public, it must be real serious, especially when his family are involved too tsk this is just sad, downright scary and disturbing. annoying how "respecting a person's privacy" is never in a sasaengs vocabulary >.<

  3. I refuse to call sasaengs 'fans'. They are not fans.

  6. Saesangs are criminals. SK police should really crack down on this sort of thing.

    ReplyDelete
  7. they can just stalk him from yg building to his house... ?! how is GD at fault here lol

    ReplyDelete
  8. I read a list of what they did to TVXQ... creepy people >.>

  9. Where are the stalking laws in Korea?

    ReplyDelete
  10. There are so many cases of sasaengs doing things that in other countries would've easily got them sued or arrested. Politely asking them to stop seems useless because you're already dealing with people who clearly have a lack of common sense, decency, and respect for other people.

I'm pretty sure if sasaengs were punished more severely then that would make matters better for everyone else.

  13. i thought BB had no sasaengs too... but i guess some are trying to chnge that... those kids should really gtfo and go do their homework... really... whats the fun of staying hours outside someone's house? for a normal person, that would be boring to death!

    ReplyDelete
  14. this saesaeng shit is so prevalent in korea, why aren't there laws to punish offenders? trespassing at least? in america, simply repeatedly visiting a celeb's house warrants a restraining order, these 'fans' need to hit in the face with them.

  15. tvxq got a lot more cuz they way more popular

  16. If K-pop idols would hire me, I would sort these stalking fuckers out...
    1
I would take a picture of them every time they follow the idol, upload it to the internet for all to see, and let the netizens identify them, and then make their life hell IRL.
    2. the sasaeng taxi drivers would be the second people who I would target, again pohotgraph the car and licence plate, report it to their employer, and if they do nothing report to the police, and if they dont do nothing either upload it to the internet, and let the netizens sort them out.

It's not tha thard to deal with them, I can't understand why nobody thought about that...

  17. TVXQ And JYJ Have the worst saesang...

  20. BB's songs may be more appealing to the general public, but DB5K has more fans... and sasaengs :/

If BB sasaeng are this scary I can't imagine with other groups' sasaengs.

  24. GD is doing it right. Directly telling them off.

    ReplyDelete
  25. They're free to loiter outside of a building if there aren't any "no loitering" signs around. So yeah... standing outside of the building his family lives in isn't illegal.

it's when they break in that it becomes a legal issue...

I think this is a little sad. :/

    ReplyDelete
  26. Most of them are teenagers and they can't do anything plus they are also bribed as fuck from them.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ugh, seriously, this sasaengs disgust me.

    ReplyDelete
  28. im going to tickle ur anus with my dick

    ReplyDelete
  29. TVXQ has the most sasaengs. Even Changmin who had the least sasaeng in TVXQ had more than other group idols. TVXQ sasaeng is no joke.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Written in english.....really?

    ReplyDelete
  31. has more number in fandom doesnt mean they "way more popular" :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I figured. Police could get more parents involved so they could realize what's going on, but I think those saesangs are definitely putting money in their pockets. Corruption everywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Korea DOES have stalking laws but they don't apply to underage people. And of course, sasaengs are mostly teenagers so idols can't deal with them.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Indeed and there are some grown ass people with money organizing them, making cash flow.
They don't do just stalking, they are cheating foreign fans coming to S.Korea to see their fave artists such as pilfering money.

Also blacklisting people from events, extorting money and stuff. I mean we can say they are a small gang-ish organization.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I heard, the sasaengs of TVXQ even got inside of their house

    ReplyDelete
  36. I saw some of this in a video about saesangs. Those people are really sick. I don't know how idols do it because I swear I would get mad and swing on somebody. I hate people all up in my space.

Maybe it's a good thing I'm not a celebrity because I'd be in jail. All is well.

  37. sasaengs are seriously fucked in the head

  38. This is victim blaming, doesn't help nor solve the situation especially when the problem is on the 'fans' side. Just because they know where he lives - and most of that information was given out by fans, media/ people who also live/work in the apartment- does not mean they are justified in hanging around and making the neighbourhood or residents feel uncomfortable.

If you getting this confused with Dolce Vita that was promoted and its like a motel, a business so its not the same as going to a private residence and attempting to intrude on his and his families private lives.

Idols tend not to promote where they live because of this consequence but people who know where they live do, not to mention the same people who creepily know every flight celebrities have probably wouldn't take them long to figure out where they live and then tell loads of people. The fact that these people can get other peoples national security and phone numbers and 'sell' them (maybe not in this case) but it has been known, knowing where they live is hardly anything.

Mores the point why do people have to modulate their behaviors around others that are going to do stupid, inconsiderate and troublesome things. This is not about maintaining 'image' or being a role model of society issue.
Why do they have to take the responsibility? No famous person has legal responsibility nor obligation to their 'fans'. A majority of people have the mind to know where the fan relationship stops and there is no problem. E.g. they go to organised pre-arranged concerts, matches (sports), meetings, signing etc.(waiting for them at airports is a grey area) and if they meet them on the street they either are mindful of them and don't approach or ask for an autograph and leave them alone, depending on the situation and assuming there is not a mob of fans pressing in on the person. Its being sane and why should celebrities being criticised for the behaviour of people who can not act appropriately when they also discourage it?

Its no wonder when famous people get known their old friend's/neighbours drop them or get cold to them because they bring trouble in ways like this. Its sad, completely unnecessary and not in the 'deal'. That 'this is what you signed up for' mentality only helps instill in the minds of stalkers that they have a 'right' to impose there presence and values on people they 'admire' and that because this person chose a field of work that makes them a public figure suddenly they are property of a cult of people who have chosen to like them. But the famous person did not chose them and given the choice many would rather have less and sensible supporters than many and crazy ones. There is the respect that works both ways or there should be and when a few cross it, it damages the image of the rest. Everyone knows or can tell at what point is 'too far' and these people are choosing to cross that and are now causing an issue for the celebrity and their family.
Just because you're very good at acting, sport, singing, making music doesn't mean you deserve to be hounded and harassed. Just because a portion of your success and money earning comes from public acknowledgement doesn't justify members of that public imposing themselves on your private life or stalking you or treating you in any fashion which reduces your dignity or your rights as a member of the society you live.
People love criticising celebrities, that they have too much or are attention seeking but that's choosing to ignore the large amount of things a 'normal' person takes for granted that we know that celebrities can't have as freely yet still think they 'have it all' and therefore should accept when things like this happen to them.
But in their place, would you put up with it?

    ReplyDelete
  39. This is where I have to respect the japanese Cassies. TVXQ has a huge japanese fanbase but those fans are not on the same level of crazy compared to Korean fans.

    ReplyDelete
  40. what they need is some psychiatric help. Being a saesang is a derangement, they rather are submerged in a deep depression or do have mental problems.

    ReplyDelete
  41. TL:DR

You know this is a comment place, and not a place to read comprehensive essay?

    ReplyDelete
  42. These people need help asap!! the pic in side, showing her cutting up her neck freaked me out!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I thought i had no life but sasaengs really....

    ReplyDelete
  44. I have a lot to say on the subject generally so I wrote a long comment. Its this sort of behavior that can cause 'celebrities' to 'lose it' and then the people that cause it asking 'why'? I think human rights are very important and I do get impassioned about them. It you cba reading that's your choice but someone else might read it. I put it in a reply to you to address the victim blaming mentality you demonstrated and admitted the comment ran from there. Anyway a comprehensive essay would be longer, have references to specific examples and cite actual experts on the subject as well as psychologists? Since it would be comprehensive, I'm afraid my comment is lacking in those areas =(, so it really is just a long comment, but not needlessly so as there was much to say.

  45. People should read what's inscribed on GD's skully hat in the article pic

    ReplyDelete
  46. Uh he never promoted where he lived. DOLCE VITA isn't his residential home. They stalked his family which was uncalled for.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Seriously people can comment whatever the heck they want on here. Just like you commented something ignorant and people are replying you :D You can't justify what should and shouldn't be commented. LOL

  48. "These days younger kids are coming to my house...Even up to the door...I understand, but I think this is going too far. My mom and older sister are surprised when they come home at night...Stop hiding and don’t come to my house.”

WOW. Why aren't these girls arrested? This is crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  49. they need laws against them... period

    ReplyDelete
  50. Cant send them to some mental hospital or to some reformatory? Srly, or they are sick or they didn't receive any education. Or even worse, both.

    ReplyDelete
  51. You are absolutely correct on that, and don't deserve the hate.
JB probably has the biggest fandom in the US industry but Lady Gaga,Eminem,Adele,Taylor Swift and Rihanna are more popular, i.e more people like them on average and they have better sales.

TVXQ has a big fandom but they aren't that popular in Korea, Catch Me was barely played.

    ReplyDelete
  52. But DBSK was way more popular. They may not be now, but they were undoubtedly more popular back when they were five and they are still more popular than Big Bang will ever be in Japan.

    ReplyDelete
  53. They have more bcz mostly they get famous bcz of their face
The same with super junior and exo

    ReplyDelete
  54. I think instead of doing that, do what you said in #1 and contact the police. DEFINITELY straighten those kids out.

And for saesang taxi drivers, I'd say to again, not only contact the police, but contact their bosses. They can get fired.

    ReplyDelete
  55. they're good in eng and apparently white

    ReplyDelete
  56. TVXQ was undoubtedly much more popular back in the day. And in Japan it's a joke to even compare the two.

    ReplyDelete
  57. dbsk has the biggest fandom back then, yes. nobody dare to doubt it.
but bb has big fandom and general public in their side, i think it's save to say bb is more popular than dbsk in korea (even in their peak time/2008) :)

their sasaeng-fans is korean so we'r not talking about japan (and yes, dbsk is way more popular than bb in japan) :)

    ReplyDelete
  58. yes. dbsk def has the biggest fandom, but their music doesnt appeal to general public. ppl outside their fandom barely know their songs. :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. the hat he is wearing in that photo is very relevant to saesangs..
"commes des FUCKDOWN"... Calm the fuck down!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I read the story about exo sasaengs recently,
it could get as worse as tvxq's if the fandom didn't do something to change the culture immediately ,_,

  61. creepy stalkers..

    ReplyDelete
  62. not that I am proud of that... duhh...

    ReplyDelete
  63. Groups' popularity in Korea and Internationally are way different. I heard Groups or Solos who debuted earlier are really famous in Korea but obviously, not with the international fans.

    ReplyDelete
  64. There are always stalkerish fans not just in Korea but all over the world =.=...If you come to Korea, there are many international sasaeng fans. (esp Chinese and Japanese) Besides, those Sasaeng fans are mostly teenagers, but Japanese fans are mostly adults.

    ReplyDelete
  65. yep. i guess it's quit different. snsd, bb, and dbsk is like a powerhouse in korea. but i didnt get why is this relevant to my post :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Are you translating it or just playing with how the brand sounds..? Cause that's not what commes des Fuckdown means
