Her American side, not necessarily the Korean Agency- and they can easily lie and backtrack if her American agency kicked up a fuss which they probably did.
ReplyDeleteIts possible someone initially contacted YG claiming to b eassociated with Drakota's agency so when asked YG would confirm it so their media playing would look more legitamite and if Drakota's side don't play along then YG's left with mud on their face and the agency/independent acting in the name of won't because no one knows who they are nor cares enough- Korean journalism and it seems agencies appear to not get held accountable as they tip off responsibilities to other parties. Not a korean myself but its a pattern I have been noticing on several issues. True or not, its sold news and got people to read their stuff- the main benefitter is the news group. Its likely both sides are telling the truth that they know but they've been messed about as there's been falsehood going on the middle.
While YG does associate with American professions and a lot of their associations come to naught I think in this case GD's name might be being used to highlight Drakota's presence in Korea as it would gain YG little in terms of American press- what American Celebrities get up to in Asia is rarely reported unless its sensational. They could have used Taeyang or TOP who are relatively more public friendly plus Taeyang is rumoured to be having a comeback soon and TOP being the usual pick for pretty actresses but GD grabs more people's attention for good and bad with the general public, besides she might have made some remark that she at least heard of GD which might have initated the actions which have blown things out of proportion- note they never denied that that she was a fan only that they didn't make contact.
Yes because poor GD got such a bad response from this, from what I read they think GD is great to be in contact with a Hollywood actor, they really diminished his name.
