Article: T-ara rejects alcohol CF but shoots a gambling CF in Japan?
Source: Herald News via Nate
CCM responded: "It is true that T-ara shot a CF for Pachinko but Pachinko is not gambling. Song Seung Hun, Bae Yong Jun, and even KARA shot CFs for it in the past."
I had no idea what Pachinko was so, "Pachinko (パチンコ?) is a mechanical game originating in Japan and is used as both a form of recreational arcade game and much more frequently as a gambling device, filling a Japanese gambling niche comparable to that of the slot machine in Western gaming."
1. [+905, -10] I feel like I'm watching a sitcom whenever I read about them... A sitcom called Kwangsoo and the 7 idiots ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
2. [+700, -9] They didn't reject the alcohol CF because they didn't want to promote the wrong image to teens. They didn't do it because they knew they'd be hated on no matter what they did in Korea ㅋㅋ look at them trying to grab a piece of the pie in Japan now
3. [+595, -11] I honestly don't understand how what they're doing is logical at all. Don't they know that this is the time to quit the entertainment industry and try to find a career elsewhere for their future?

YAWN! And T-ara didn't even shoot an ad for that... looks like their Japanese label just agreed to it and they used some old Bo Peep promotional pictures from the Japan release
ReplyDeleteLOL and this is why i feel bad for TARA KKS really stupid and yes TARA dont deserve to be idols but i think KKS does not deserve to be a CEO he is just dumb, and he even mentions KARA and jong sama LOL yes pro they also did the CF for that gambling thing, still they dont play the "we r pure and we must show a good image" shit
ReplyDelete"1. [+905, -10] I feel like I'm watching a sitcom whenever I read about them...
ReplyDeleteA sitcom called Kwangsoo and the 7 idiots ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ"
I like the girls and all but this is kind of true.
but according to the article, CCM said they shot a cf for it?
ReplyDeletet-ara should stay in Japan, all the money is there.
ReplyDeleteBut they clearly didn't, which shows even CCM is confused about it lol.. it was all their Japan label (Toshiba EMI and J-ROCK) doing
ReplyDeletei see ccm trying to shade kara once again. but those celebs are not the one who said they don't want to promote any wrong message. the problem is you're being hypocritical!
ReplyDeletei was thinking along the lines of them shooting a cf as in a cf video...but it could be true what you said
ReplyDeleteregardless t-ara made money off of it. they never objected to it and still don't.
ReplyDeleteits all about the money, money, money.
ReplyDeleteT-ara is more loved than 2NE1, SISTAR, F(x) and AS in Japan... people there like cute girls with catchy songs, T-ara is perfect for Japan.
ReplyDeleteT-ara are still slutty bullies in the end ^^
DeleteHow rude you! may god safe your words. And you will eat your words
DeleteYou've mistaken with SISTAR because they have not even debuted in Japan. So, obviously, T-ara > SISTAR in Japan right now.
ReplyDeletesome kpop groups like Super Junior, don't even debut in Japan and sell thousand of albums there and even do Tokyo Dome concerts
ReplyDeletebut not more loved that KARA or SNSD
ReplyDeleteDo u really think the money made it to them... and I wouldn't doubt if they didn't know... I mean a few years back when CCM first announced Hwayoung was joining the group and they were beginning the rotating leader system he said the members all agreed, but it turns out later that the members found out about the new system through a news article just like the rest of the world... that's how they find out bout a lot of things. They've spoken about it a lot
ReplyDeleteI heard berryz koubou fans don't like T-ara
ReplyDeletewho is berryz koubou?
ReplyDeletewtf CCM...KARA never did a pachinko CF
ReplyDeleteT-ara currently #3 big k-girlgroup on japan, after kara and snsd.
ReplyDeleteSuper Junior DOES release Japanese versions of their songs though, so if that isn't a debut, then a lot of kpop groups definitely have not debuted in Japan.
ReplyDeletelol, i'm sorry, but Super Junior is internationally popular, with seven (?) years under their belt. To juxtapose them to a group that would have been considered a rookie group less than a decade ago would be too stretched of a comparison. Not only that, SISTAR is a girl group (with extremely disappointing physical sales) and girl groups, with the exception of SNSD, do not do spectacularly well in physical album sales.
A japanese girl group, I think.

'' [+905, -10] I feel like I'm watching a sitcom whenever I read about them... A sitcom called Kwangsoo and the 7 idiots ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ''
ReplyDeleteHONEY, me2! LOL
T-ara is irrelevant in Japan. The fact that they're outselling f(x) and 2NE1 in Japan would be comparable to Usain Bolt bragging about winning a footrace against Prince William.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of many reasons why KKS is trying so hard to discredit KARA. KARA is the most successful Hallyu group in Japan. T-ara gets to prance around in sheep outfits and be in ads for pachinko parlors, while KARA got to attend Kohaku and even had their own Japanese drama.
If SNSD belonged to any other company besides SM, he would've gone after them too.
ANYTHING T-ARA HAS DONE IN JAPAN, AKB48 HAS DONE IT ALREADY. AND BETTER, TOO.
ReplyDeletesome months ago T-ara stans yelled to berryz koubou members:
ReplyDelete"Die!", "You're really annoying!", "You're not cute at all!", "Don't ignore us, get out of here."
I love the way they left out Areum.
ReplyDeletecorrection: f(x) hasn't sold anything in japan. hot summer was a free download for fans
ReplyDeletethe top comment already has 1500+ likes
ReplyDeletethey does release japanese version of their songs but they are not doing any promotion activities in Japan, they don't go to Japan's music show, tv show or even a long stay in Japan to promote their song (like SNSD, KARA, BIG BANG, DBSK, etc) to Japan's public. i GUESS that's why people said that SJ haven't debut in Japan officially. But yeah girls group tends to have a low physical sales...they stronger in digital compares to male group though :D
ReplyDeleteIDK why because this comment is random...
ReplyDeleteBut yeah lol~ AKB promoted Pachinko like in June or something and even released 12 songs with 12 PVs that would play in the machine
ORLY?~

What I feel sad is that even the vote down for the hate comments are low. IMO, the T-Ara case are most caused by KSS's stupid action, there's no clearly victim/culprit in their case with Hwayoung. I'm not a fan but I wish T-Ara all the best.
ReplyDeleteLMAOOOO poor tiara. stupid badddd media play from CMM!
ReplyDeleteonly cause most of kpop girl groups r irrelevant in japan except for KARA so yeah
ReplyDeleteKARA never did a pachinko ad. fail
ReplyDelete"debut" in japan means officially releasing something, usually physical release i.e. CD. so sj definitely debuted in japan with their single/dvd releases.
ReplyDeleteand not all japanese artists get to perform in tv shows - that is NOT the definition of debuting in japan. also, sj get a lot of promotions in japan, much more that majority of the japanese artists. just because they don't perform in tv shows does NOT equate to them not having any promotions at all.
with the backlash on kpop these days in japan, kpop artists are not doing performances in japan lately - see latest promotions for kara/snsd latest releases... no one will say "oh, they stopped performing in tv shows so they are not active in japan anymore." LOL
ReplyDeletesj debuted already in japan, and sj get a LOT of promotions in different ways other than 'performing in tv shows.' fact is, sj get a lot of promotions compared with other japanese artists - see the rants of fans of japanese artists also under avex... when they compare the promotions their fave artists' get as well the promo that sj get.
Congrats to T-ara for being last place in the Hallyu rat race. A rat race that is quickly being rejected by Japan anyway.
ReplyDeleteNotice that no kpop acts at all were invited to Kohaku, the biggest music festival in Japan.
It's because they're tired of bullshit remakes.
KKS, you're such a piece of shit
ReplyDeleteOf course, KKS would try to clean up their image in Korea while trying to leech off of profits in Japan. Back when I was a J-Pop fan, some "pachinko" scandals among J-idols and celebrities would surface and cause a big deal. I still don't really get the specifics but I know that "pachinko" dealing can turn REALLY shady and delve into illegal activities so KKS is not doing T-ara ANY favors at this point.
ReplyDeletefor God sake Pachiko isnt a gambling device... Like every other mechines used in Korean Gaming house, its the same machine!! Why are you people to unfair toward T-ara and ready to hate them every single time they do something!! And, I, too look and searched and yeah, kara too did that ad.. but no one hated them!!
ReplyDeletei'm not sure if pachinko is gambling but students/minors are restricytd from playing the game. that said they are still promoting a product that osn't suitable for the youth. however, whatever t-ara does is seen negatively in netizen eyes anywayso it doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteThey have debuted in Japan.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVH-JnGnQl4&feature=youtu.be&a
Both KARA & SNSD make original songs now. But tired of T-ara's endless remake spree!!
ReplyDeletejust because they are OPPAs. if they are not, no one will know what will happen :D
ReplyDeleteNowadays, digital sales are more popular. *didn't mentioned PIRATES Downloads around the world* ^__^
ReplyDeleteI have enough explaining about why they won't be able to leave as they want because of their contracts.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say that if CCM's PR Department had read the book 'Effective Apology by John Kador', things would not have developed this far.
In that book, it is said that you should apologize regardless of whether you really were in the wrong, because apology is 'humanity's perfect response to imperfection' and should always be used as a first resort, not the last.
An effective apology, unlike KKS's apology letter(if you consider it as an apology), should specify what went wrong, tell others that the involved will take personal responsibility, express remorse, offer restitution and promise to learn from the incident. While KKS did meet a few of the requirements, he made a deadly mistake in his apology - defensiveness.
A well-timed apology can defuse resentment, but the apology statement from CCM/KKS came at the worse possible moment and didn't meet its purpose. An apology should be sympathetic or empathetic(empathetic apology will work best in T-ara's case), but KKS's apology was neither of the two. In short, that apology was unnecessary and badly-crafted.
I think I can fare better after reading that book than those who, I suppose, went to college and work in CCM's PR Department.
no, kara didn't do such ad.
ReplyDeleteThere's not much I can at this point lol. Despite me not liking several of the members, I feel legit bad for them because KKS is so dumb. And there he goes again mentioning KARA...I bet he counts KARA members jumping over a fence before he goes to sleep. What a tool.
ReplyDeletechi ching.
ReplyDeleteYour comment is spot on. KKS did EVERYTHING wrong when he tried to shift the blame on Hwayoung and came up with a million poorly-conjured excuses to justify the girls' behavior and absolve them from any responsibility. The fact that they kept pushing the "misunderstanding" angle for SO long before having Qri write an apology letter (which still has not clarified what exactly happened) shows that KKS had no intentions of apologizing in the first place. His arrogance and presumptuousness has driven T-ara to the ground, at least where Korea is concerned. They'll never be the same again.
ReplyDelete...They removed KARA from the Korean article.....good job dsp XDD
ReplyDeletejapanese girl group.
ReplyDeleteJapanese girls group under Hello Project, same place Morning Musume is from.
ReplyDeleteAreum wasn't yet in the group during the promotion of the Japanese version Bo Peep Bo Peep. She was only added later.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they left Hwayoung in some of the pictures too lol. I'm just saying that they need to update the pictures they used. They easily could have shot new photos for this advertisement haha.
ReplyDeleteF(x) are still preparing for their grand debut in Japan and Sistar isn't even releasing Japanese singles are you high?
ReplyDeleteAnd even Rainbow sold better than 2ne1 in Japan, i liked how you put their name like they are selling in Japan or something.
lol, they would namedrop kara while defending t-ara. How embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteHallyu is slowly dying there, lol. Once it's over they'll be forgotten anyway.
ReplyDeletethey didn't. look at 'sexy love' photo
ReplyDeleteAwwww~~~~ <3
ReplyDeleteIt sorta reminds me of Arashi's "Monster" PV. :)
Probably because they both have the goth vibe.
ReplyDeleteUZA was released on Halloween so they made the theme match.
Typical...The Adventure of the 7 Ass Sucker and KKS"
ReplyDeleteKKS/CCM (swallows back bitterly): and KARA too...
ReplyDeleteI can so imagine when he/they said it.
Way to tarnish KARA, Song Seung Hun, Bae Yong Jun's names.
the thing is kara did ad for the gaming machine and T-ara too. This Pachiko machine is or will be used as arcade gaming machine and that's what the ad was for.. A gaming machine can be used for both arcade and gambling purpose and T-ara are using it for arcade purpose!! Kara, too, did ad for arcade gaming...
ReplyDeletethe things is, no, KARA never did an ad for that gaming machine.
ReplyDeleteokay I got that but the thing is their pictures were used in gaming machines(say illegally) but how will someone like me know that it was illegally used unless I'm fan or Unless I follow them... N I didnt know that kara's picz were illegally used and was removed later.. Peace!!!
