do my eyes decieve me or do i see block b in the positive dump ;-; netziens ill take it.
ReplyDelete"Positive Dump" and "Block B" in the same sentence??? Excuse me while I go sob in a corner TT_TT
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that people are taking note of their skills and not just hating without just cause. Though they still have a ways to go towards improving their image in the public eye, I'm really glad that they're "watching over them," so to speak, and realizing that they can go really far. Makes me even more confident that when they'll survive the digital charts apocalypse next year.
Emperor Lee Seung Gi, korea's pride.
ReplyDelete"Block B wins 4 crowns at a European K-Pop award"
ReplyDeletethey are the next BIG BANG.
Such big shoes to fill but I really do hope they can achieve the same level of success as Big Bang in the future.
ReplyDeleteSo they've been articles on the So Loved Awards... Dear gods they were so irrelevant... I hope they're not presented as Europe choices or something.
ReplyDeleteits kinda obvious the positive comments only come from their fans. those awards are so irrelevant yet those comments make them seem as if they won the freakin grammys lol
ReplyDelete"
ReplyDelete2. [+519, -180] If they would just be a little bit more respectable, they'd really be at the top of idol groups" --> Don't think a fan would say this, tbh. Fans would believe that they're already being as respectful as they can be.
No matter how irrelevant the awards are, it's an indication of Hallyu Wave picking up speed in Europe and anything positive for Korea will be well-received.
not a fan of Block B but i think Block B might hit it big like Bigbang. well as for their scandals, we all know that Bigbang is not that angel either. ;)
ReplyDeleteeventho as a VIP i want to see them on top for sometimes. they still got a long way. but Block B sure could learn and make their way.
he is overrated, I believe Yoochun is a better actor and singer.
ReplyDeletethey're both overrated - -
ReplyDeleteMan, sometimes I think people just call the awards irrelevant, because Block B won. I get that not everyone knows about them yet, because omg, they are only three years old. Nevertheless they managed to partner up with KBS and garner the attention of a lot of idols already, who acknowledge the award and are happy that they get nominated or even win. With he coverage they got this year, I'm sure they will be even bigger next year and I like it that someone is willing to organize something like this for European fans. It's an opportunity for us, to show who we like (and maybe it will have an effect on which idols companies send over for concerts). So congrats to all the winners!
ReplyDeleteAnd just because a lot of people apparently don't know: No, there was no multiple voting possible. Every person was only able to vote once!
They do have a ways to go. Where Block B is now in terms of the amount of time they've been active since their debut, Big Bang had already achieved huge success with "Lies" and "Haru Haru." Block B has yet to make that breakthrough, even though the market was very different for idols back when Big Bang started gaining widespread popularity. But, Block B is getting there, slowly but surely :)
ReplyDeletelol Block B is not even two years old yet. But yes, I agree wholeheartedly :3
ReplyDeleteNah, they just call the awards irrelevant because their oppars and unnirs didn't win.
ReplyDeleteIf they keep going the direction they are now, no doubt. I heard even Big Bang took a couple of years to get really popular. With a great leader like Zico, I think they have the chance to make it far. Don't matter their troubles 'cause anything's possible.
ReplyDeleteEmperor Lee Seunggi ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm not a hater or anything, but I just searched up that award on google and found out that 2NE1 won 'Japan release of the year'. I'm okay with the other 2 awards they won, but 'Japan release of the year'???
ReplyDeleteI think it's becoming very obvious that Block B is going to keep gaining success regardless of if netizens approve of them or not. Block B/Stardom Entertainment have made it pretty clear that they're not here to cater to people who have no real interest in them. Why would they when those type of people will never truly support Block B anyways?
ReplyDeleteI can't see how Block B will ever be adored by the overall public. So the best thing they can do to fight against non-fans, haters, and lousy journalists is to keep winning everyone else over with their talent and with who they are.
Bottom line: Block B is Block B and they're determined to make it with or without your help. So either get used to it, move the hell on, or stay pressed :P
Who cares if So-Loved isn't some big time award show. Block B still won 4 awards and that's really amazing. No matter what award they win, whether it be big or small, it's still an AWARD. Stop trying to belittle them. I'm pretty sure they're grateful to have won considering last year they weren't even nominated or invited to any award shows. Block B have won 5 awards this year, and this is only the beginning for them.
ReplyDeleteomg no one mentioning about KDW here. Reply to the highest rated comment, I would prefer KDW to JIS anytime, any day, haha. I now he already has upcoming projects and has started filming, but I'm getting really impatient.. haha.
ReplyDeleteI was not talking about Block B, but about the awards. They started out in 2010 and took place for the third time this year :D
ReplyDeleteIt was a popularity award. If you look at the nominations, they were pretty weird as well. 2NE1's Japanese songs are horrid, simply because they shouldn't make Japanese music to be honest. If anything they should just focus on the American market, naturally, if they get big enough, their albums would sell in Japan as well
ReplyDeleteLol. But I'm sure you praised Big Bang for winning didn't you? Please, take a seat. You always comment with some dumbshit.
ReplyDeleteIf you listen to their music, they honestly have perfect harmonization. Big Bang is the perfect combination of 5, Block B is a perfect combination of 7. Though, there are times when Block B sounds much better than Big Bang as a group, but then I guess that goes with personal preference.
ReplyDeleteRight :) Can I just say I love your username? <3 <3 <3
ReplyDeleteOoOo, gotcha! :)
ReplyDeleteThinking of last year always brings me back to how they weren't getting any love from broadcasting companies. Groups with less prominence were nominated for awards when they weren't. That 1:45 minute Inkigayo performance still gets me heated sometimes D: People thought they were going to disappear this year. I'm so happy they proved all of their skeptics wrong!
ReplyDeletewhy next bigbang? just say theyre gonna be the next big thing.
ReplyDeleteI know right. I remember one time some other rookie fandom was complaining about their group getting performance cuts even though it was well over 3:30 and I got pissed. Nobody should be complaining about performance cuts except BBC's. I mean.. 1:45! Their DEBUT stages were even cut, but other rookies that debuted around the same time as them got 1 if not 2 or 3 songs. And what cracks me up the most is when people say Block B are irrelevant, yet they are one of the few 2011 rookies still doing well.
ReplyDeleteThey are just as good as Boyfriend and B1A4. And one thing that amazes me about this group is that each time they come back with new material the songs are better, they show growth and their sales get better. I mean compare Freeze to Nillili Mambo.. its definitely a major improvement. I can't wait for their next album honestly. I have a feeling it's going to be even better than Blockbuster! :)
go and blame those european fans.
ReplyDeleteIt europe not asia
3:30 is a full performance for Block B! If only people would look at the numbers, they'd see that Block B has the best digital sales of any idol group from 2011. They got just $10K shy of $200K during the first month for "Nillili Mambo," and that's not even counting the rest of the songs of the album that charted the first couple of weeks. Other groups were like $30K or $50K from that mark, and some didn't even reach $100K. They're not slaying charts or hitting MelOn's digital roof like top-tier groups but they're doing great considering Stardom's "nugu" status as a company and lack of resources. The thing that makes me proud to be their fan is the fact that we're pretty much guaranteed to get an even better album next year. Zico isn't a perfectionist for nothing! <3
ReplyDeleteBless this post <3
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly. To Block B and to BBCs, these awards are a pretty big deal even if everyone else thinks it's irrelevant and stupid, because Block B won nothing last year (even though they were one of the best rookies) nor were they invited to any year-end awards. It makes me pretty sad that people will always say they only won the So-Loved Awards because not all of Europe knew about it and only German fans voted, etc etc (even though 2/3 of the votes came from OUTSIDE EUROPE, so that argument that no one knew about it is invalid, PLUS it was the third year of this award so if anyone wants to put blame on anyone, they should've blamed their European fanbase for not spreading the word) but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have been saying that if the groups they loved won.
ReplyDeleteAnd to be honest, does it even matter if their favorite groups didn't win? All the ones that were complaining support all the popular groups and to not win a So-Loved award is NO BIG DEAL. For example, groups like Big Bang, Super Junior, Epik High, SNSD have won bigger and better awards, so I seriously wish people could stop raining on Block B/BBC's parade. Let us have our moment of Block B finally getting an award almost 2 years after their debut, is that really too much to ask for?
SORRY, I went off on a total tangent and rant but I've just been so frustrated reading people's malicious comments.
lol someone sounds butthurt?
ReplyDeletefor your reference,Lee Seung Gi got a lot of popularity and love from the variety shows he's doing, and he's in this field since Xman.
Lee Seung Gi>>>>idols
ReplyDeleteI get why Block B is hated, but they should give them a chance, their music is pretty good, don't care about the members tho.
ReplyDeletePREACH PREACH PREACH! Thank you! You get it! All these people complaining about So-Loved stan popular groups that have already won bigger and better awards. I don't know why they are so upset about this. Let Block B get something for once. Geez!
ReplyDeleteYes. I do think that KDW >>>> JIS
ReplyDeleteBTW, scarecrow good song!!! Perfect for winter......
