Shinsadong Tiger probably should've picked better things to talk about on 'Strong Heart'

Article: Shinsadong Tiger "T-ara's Roly Poly was named after Kim Kwang Soo CEO's favorite snack"

1. [+281, -27] Snacks or whatever, I hate T-ara

2. [+253, -24] Looks like Kwang Soo is forcing him to talk about T-ara. Yeah, you guys just try and crawl back out, let's see what happens.

Article: B2ST's Fiction revealed to be based on Seo Taiji, Lee Ji Ah, Jung Woo Sung scandal

Source:
Ilgan Sports via Nate

1. [+189, -30] Because of Shinsadong Tiger's careless words, Jung Woo Sung had to once again be reminded by the public that he was a fool, while Seo Taiji had to relive a great pain in his life... I feel that this is a scandal that should never be mentioned again in the Korean entertainment industry. It was wrong for him to have used the pain of others to have something to talk about and boost viewer ratings.

2. [+172, -21] Is he that desperate to get popular? Isn't getting money from selling his songs enough? He needs to back off. This crazy ba$tard thinks he can get away with selling the pain of others on TV for his own benefit.

3. [+111, -26] (TN: I have no idea wtf this best reply is talking about, a lot of the replies to this reply are saying it's harder to understand than a college entrance exam test question)

4. [+40, -4] There are two people that need to disappear from the Korean music industry and it's Shinsadong Tiger and Brave Brothers.

5. [+28, -14] I've never heard of the song so I don't even know the lyrics but... Shinsadong Tiger, who do you think you are? Are you blind? Who do you think youa re using Seo Taiji's name like this? You are such a disgrace.

Article: Shinsadong Tiger reveals he helped 4 couples get together "The couples had secret dates in my car"

2. [+112, -3] Probably 4minute and T-ara... all of the girls he gave songs to ã…‹ã…‹

3. [+83, -13] He's talented but he's so full of himself and not humble at all. He kept shoving himself in Brave Brothers' face ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

This I can certainly agree to, especially Brave Brothers. The guy is a try hard and he ruins most of his artists by giving them the most basic of tracks and overhyping them to the max.

can't believe but I agree with this.

  4. Look at his smug grin and those stupid glasses. He absolutely doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks. Good on him - an example to follow.

  5. kinda sad that the only popular song this guy produced belongs to tara the bully group. trying to draw attention to some unknown song using seo taijis name is just pathetic too

  6. " Yeah, you guys just try and crawl back out, let's see what happens. "

They already did and not much bad things happened... these netizens are all talk LOL. T-ara fighting <3

  7. Brave Brothers is awful.
I'll never forgive him for that atrocious boy group he made with that awful song (can't remember either of their names).

    I like S. Tiger's productions though.

  8. Confused......what was the Seo Taiji scandal that should never be mentioned?

Is this the netizen who always talks about seo taiji (finally relevant!!!!!) and votes up his own replies? HAHAHA

  11. COME ON ROLY POLY WAS AN AWESOME SONG... and concept.... how can you hate it.. no matter how much you dislike t-ara it was a great song

    ReplyDelete
  12. brave brothers have some decent songs.... but yeah the bad ones outnumber the good ones

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yes, but Alone and To You are masterful. I would have agreed with you only a year ago, but this year, they are killing it!

  14. seotaiji secret marriage with actress lee jia.... they hide it for 14 years and have two children... they already divorce though

  15. People here tend to just parrot what netizens
say because they're Koreaboos and they think it makes them look cool. And the rest just come here to troll. Every true k-pop fan who cares about MUSIC FIRST recognises Shinsadong Tiger's songwriting genius, as he's worked with so many artists, and recognises Roly Poly as one of the genre's defining songs. But you won't find many real k-pop MUSIC fans on NB... or Nate, for that matter. That's why all the hate.

    1. lol if you want real music then idol groups' songs aren't the one you should be listening to

      Delete
  16. yes, their compositions are catchy but way too repetitive and basic. Sad that half of kpop actually rely on them for songs

    ReplyDelete
  17. those who cares about music first would know that S.tiger is no genius; his music is catchy and that's all u really need to sell your songs well in the mainstream pop market. Composition wise, his stuff is mostly lazily crafted and extremely repetitive

    ReplyDelete
  18. Tiger's stuff isn't lazy - it's smart. As a music industry professional who works in a recording studio - and no shit, I was having a discussion with someone in the hallway not 30 seconds ago about this EXACT issue (but related to another song, that someone was working on here today) - when making pop music, people who don't know what they're doing tend to fuck with things too much. They feel a need to justify their time and expense so they add all this extra bullshit that's not needed, either melodically, rhythmically or structurally. A pro producer in the pop realm understands the KISS principle - Keep It Simple, Stupid. Roly Poly is simple and it works because it's stripped to the bare essentials of what a pop song needs, and those simple elements have been refined to a perfect sheen. But it's not simple to DO that... if it was, we'd all be millionaires. The #1 misconception about pop music is that all you need is a pretty girl, some Autotune, a few repetitive words, a dance and you're done. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact pop music is the hardest of all music genres to make in the studio, because any failing in structure, form, production or literally a hundred other things means that it won't be popular and thus you haven't really made a pop record. That's why SM have their cultural technology handbook, to discipline and streamline the process, but Tiger is not from SM and he's doing it without the book. Not only that but he's doing it quickly and economically, and even off the cuff (which the article reveals). Compare it to a guitar player - an amateur's fingers flap in the breeze, he seems to be putting in a lot of effort and makes passages seem harder than they are. A pro on the other hand makes everything look easy - minimal movement, all that's there is what's required and nothing else. Then you try to do it yourself and you can't do it, and the extent of the craftmanship is revealed. Tiger is one of the true geniuses of not just k-pop but pop music generally, and I'm qualified to tell you this. If he wasn't brilliant the songs wouldn't sell and he wouldn't get hired again and again and again.

  21. Seo Taiji was secretly married to Lee Ji-ah for 9 years and had children together. They divorced in 2006 and it was finalized in 2009. **Divorces between celebrities can take a long time to finalize because of the division of assets; without a pre-nup, deciding who gets what can get really sticky.**

Lee Ji-ah was dating Jung Woo Sung in 2011 (they starred in the drama, Athena, together) when her past marriage was revealed because she was suing Seo Taiji for alimony.

The scandal pretty much rocked the K-pop world. Lee Ji-ah was an actress who was known for keeping her private life very much private and Seo Taiji gave nothing away about his personal issues as well. The fact that they were both even married to begin with was a shock. The fact that they were married to each other was sort of like the icing on the cake.

Jung Woo Sung suffered a humiliation of sorts because he was dating Lee Ji-ah without knowing that she was married, who her ex-husband was, and as a result, he knew nothing of her children's father. :/ Poor guy.

  24. He strikes gold maybe once in a while but he'll go back to being awful soon. He can no longer keep his good streak like he did with Son Dambi older works and AS pre Bang

    ReplyDelete
  25. idk whats wose, being a koreaboo or oversucking some producer's dick who's just talented at most

    ReplyDelete
  26. 100% agree! Both of them suck, and all their songs sound the same.
Most Sistar songs sound the same, he keeps using the same samples and its boring.

    ReplyDelete
  27. BB only caters to SISTAR and Teen Top (the latter who they overhype to the max and manipulates charts to force a win). Boyfriend, Big Star, etc. have gotten the most horrible songs I've ever listened to.

    ReplyDelete
  28. hahaha no but I have seen him around and it drives me nuts

    ReplyDelete
  29. IA, Roly Poly was a great song that appealed to all kinds of people from little kids to the elderly. That's pretty rare for a kpop idol song. I get that some people don't like T-ara but come on, that song was pretty good and a huge commercial success in Korea.

    ReplyDelete
  30. They don't have kids together.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I laughed when I read 'As a music industry professional who works in a recording studio', but this is quite insightful.

    ReplyDelete
  32. THEY HAVE TWO DAUGHTERS TOGETHER. OMFG.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yes they did. But custody of the children is not part of the lawsuit. Just because they're not fighting over custody of the kids doesn't mean they don't have them.

    Lee Ji-ah has two daughters.

There was a story about another actress who resembles Lee Ji-ah and she denied that she was her daughter, but Lee Ji-ah and Seo Taiji DO have two daughters from their marriage.

  34. "Not much bad things happened"...?

    They lost their endorsement deals.

Their song failed to sell as well as their previous singles.

Several T-ara fansites have shut down.

They're not being signed on for any dramas or CF deals anymore.

Like, yeah. They haven't disbanded. But idols make the most money from endorsement deals. Without those, their career and the company will go bankrupt.

CCM's only hope right now is Davichi.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Brave Brothers is just a poor man's Teddy Park. All of his songs sound similar to what Teddy makes for 2NE1 and it seems he especially likes the music for "I Don't Care" since there are three songs Brave Brothers has produced that sound a loooot like it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Davichi left, and just even though they had a scandal, guess what?
    Their music is still selling.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think davichi went back to them it totally left the other company out to dry. There was an article about them losing thousands

    ReplyDelete
  38. I laughed with the comment about the snack, but when I read the second headline I couldn't believe he'd say something like that publicly! It was completely rude and inconsiderate, if he needed something to talk about, the least he could do was leave other people's names and their personal issues out of it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I have a lot of experience in this field and I actually know exactly what I'm talking about. Sorry if that bothers you.
