I voted a couple of times for Busker Busker and I was sure they'd win, but now that they won't attend it'll probably be EXO/B.A.P, argh. Don't get me wrong, I like both of them, but they don't deserve it as much as Busker Busker or even Ulala Session. About Super Junior.... LOL sexy free & single is one of the worst songs of the year.

And those who thinks BuskerBusker is not famous in Korea, you need to do your research again. In MAMA polls, the majority of the votes come from China. Even international fans are getting tired of voting on something as meaningless as MAMA. They should just change MAMA to performance show instead of an award show.

Exactly, and they are completely two different concepts. One sells base on songs only, the only one attracts based on dances songs looks and personality. Obviously exo targets younger generation and the other is more broad. What's wrong with that? Mama isn't all on poll, if your group is not leading, then don't complain because the fans either don't give a shit or they barely have a fanbase, and as an artists trying to earn money, wouldn't a big fanbase be nice?

ReplyDeleteI love EXO but it's soo funny how unknown they are in Korea. They may be popular amongst Ifans but unfortunately their debut didn't leave much of an impression in Korea. This is probably the same with all idol groups. Busker Busker totally slayed digital and off line charts with their album (soo many of their songs were in the top 10 for WEEKS and Cherry Blossom ending was a HUGE hit), Busker Busker are definitely Korea's fav rookie group.

ReplyDeleteI've heard all Busker Busker songs. Every single one was pure shit. While EXO released one mini album with six songs, and they were all amazing (I'm pretty hard to impress, too). I think the only reason why netizens are so obsessed with Busker Busker is because they're not good-looking idols. Good-looking = talentless in netizens' book.
