what the heck is the last comment? kwanghee doesn't parade around as a solo singer/artist, he focuses on variety shows which is his forte, what's the problem? hyuna isn't criticized as much when she promotes with her group, it's the fact that she keeps taking the opportunity to promote solo with her crappy skills and it is all we hear so we judge.

ReplyDeleteLike Lee Ha Yi just debuted today but Hyuna and Ailee have been going on music shows together for the last 2 weeks. And honestly, she wiped the floor with both of them the girl can belt out notes and sing really well. Hyuna dance. Lee Ha Yi singing. Ailee both. Ailee clearly pawns both of them.
There are a lot of male idols that can't sing like Kwanghee, Minho, and others.. At least Hyuna can dance.
ReplyDeleteJust like the anon before me said it, these idols aren't trying hard to pass off as being a solo artist. They aren't performing solo. Plus Hyuna can dance? Yes she can pussy pop but alot of the other idols out have the same "level" of Hyuna's dancing skills, as long as you can move your body to the rhythm you are called a dancer!
actually netizens have mentioned how good ailee is in a similar post about hyuna like this earlier. mainly about her vocals, cause being able to dance nowadays is a norm. i don't think ailee's current song is showcasing any amazing dance skills though.

Ailee's company is small, therefore they cant afford expensive mvs but she is doing really good as a rookie from a poor company. Everyone knows her, and support her. Thats a big step already. Lee Hayi is 16 years old, she is a kid, of course everyone will think she is cute. She was the most popular kpop start contestant, its understandable why is she receiving so much love. Kpop star was an extremely well received program in Korea.

ReplyDeleteHyuna is sitting pretty. All the comparisons in the world is not going to change the fact that she has the world's attention. A great voice is nice. i wish every singer had a great voice, but the fact still remains a great voice is not the end all. Could Hyuna improve? you bet, a lot. How ever little experience she has singing and dancing solo, she makes up for it in other ways.
ReplyDeleteI wish Koreans would stop bashing and realize that Hyuna and psy could be the beginning of a global domination in music and support and help her grow. But so many people are still in shock that their favorite singer or dancer is not the ones America cares about now, that they can't get past the fact that a fat guy and a girl who can't sing that well is taking the world by storm. Get over it and pray hard that Hyuna gets a Superbowl commercial. Now wouldn't that be something.

ReplyDeletehyuna is not taking the world by storm -.- The collaboration with psy isn't going to bring her lots of attention, and even if it does, i doubt it will be of the positive kind. Even though talent alone doesn't make you popular most of the time, the sheer lack of it can be pretty glaring even if you have a ton of charisma/ stage presence.

ReplyDeletehas people actually watch Kwanghee's singing when he was being serious and not in joking/aka embarrassing-himself-for-variety routine before saying he can't sing? because seriously...just go do some searching of his singing on youtube. he can sing. at least as good as average idols who CAN sing or even better than some. the only thing that kept holding him back is his lack of self confidence in his own singing talent.
