This article is kind of misleading, as you can judge right away from the title and header picture used. For people that don't watch the show (like myself), you'd think it'd be something completely different...
The picture is actually from a game segment where TVXQ was battling UV on who can cry the fastest... and as a joke, when UV asked how Changmin was able to shed tears so fast, he wittily said that "I have a lot of things built up in my chest", which is a popular Korean phrase.
And I know I will get bashed a lot for saying this, but I'm just going to put it out there as an observation... I noticed that in JYJ articles, TVXQ fans generally stay out of them altogether whereas in TVXQ articles, there are A LOT of JYJ fans making snide comments outside of the best replies...
I think you'll notice what I mean if you compare the comments in TVXQ articles vs JYJ articles...

Anyway I agree they were best with 5 members, but I really admire yh and cm's determination and hard work. It must have been hard given that they (more cm) weren't the popular members to begin with, but they've still managed to impress the public with their performances.

If you see the article's that this blog has translated about Sm's merger with JDG's company + signing on Kang ho dong and other mcs, most of the best replies were mostly in awe of SM as a big entertainment company. Honestly, HoMin stans are just as bad as JYJ stans (I have nothing against, FANS, but stans are annoying). Go to a TVXQ article on allkpop, and you will get slayed if you're an OTP5. HoMin stans hate OTP5s because they think they're JYJ stans in disguise or something. Try to say you support both JYJ and TVXQ, and they'll tell you a whole list of rules you have to follow in order to qualify as a TVXQ fan. It's ridiculous. Some examples are 1. you cannot call TVXQ "HoMin" because it's "disrespectful." 2. You cannot say anything negative about SM. 3. You cannot ship YunJae. 4. You cannot bring up the past. Etc, etc. Like I said, it's ridiculous.

DeleteWell my dear the reason why JYJ are involved in dramas and movies is mainly because that's all they have, they had to turn to that because it was the only medium in which they could reach their fans. JYJ are singers and performers more than anything else, they want to sing on stage and on TV, however they can't because they are heavily cockblocked (for a lack of better word) by all broadcasting stations and music shows.

Reason why TVXQ's activites always ignite some king of debate/argument regarding Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu is because TVXQ represented all five members. The name will always be connected to its history, people will always be reminded of its past. Even if TVXQ is now only made up of two people, the public would still often bring up the what has been, the what could haves, and make comparisons between the divided. Yunho and Changmin choosing to keep the name TVXQ itself suggests to the public that they will hold on to the history of the group - which includes the high quality performance TVXQ guaranteed. However Yunho and Changmin were never the centre of the group's performance abilities, Jaejoong and Junsu were, and when Yunho and Changmin's combined efforts couldn't match up to the promise of the name TVXQ, things like OT5s reminiscing the glorious past and being desperate for a reunion, JYJ stans rubbing salt on the wound, OT2s being on the defensive (and being snide while at it) happen.

It's why I feel most animosity occur in the TVXQ articles (as netizenbuzz observed) instead of JYJ (who started afresh with a new identity) articles.

That's what homin r doing and anyone with eyes could see that. Yes. I do feel bitter that JYJ can't appear on TV because I find it extremely unfair. But please stop relating TVXQ to JYJ! I wouldn't even came here if it wasn't because the author mentioned. directly JYJ.

(i still remember how they dissected a homin article apart and bashed them). And unlike it ContinueTVXQ is just for Homin only, no hate for JYJ. In my case I don't like JYJ because of what they did to Saesang fans. Really WTF.
As for Homin, I never liked their songs either and always thought these two to be overrated.
Yunho singing voice annoys me while Changmin screaming singing hurt my ears.
The only one I do like is Junsu the singer, because I loved his voice when I watched scent of woman, but then again I like his voice to ballad songs not the ones he sings recently.
He dances well, but never I thought he is hot... lol
Yoochun's acting is good but I also don't see what is attractive about him or his looks, even his body isn't attractive to me. And the saesang scandal just turned me more off on him.
Jaejoong has a hot body but his allien face turns me off and his violent ways to deal with his saesang fans.
Junsu, not sure about the guy, his face turns me off too, but it seems he has a nice body? Not sure. But I like his singing ballads/ost a lot.
Changmin is cute but his face is too small... and he is too thin for my tastes. His acting is bad.
Then comes Yunho! I dislike his singing but his dancing is pretty good, his acting is really stiff... and since I heard nothing about him hitting/beating fans, and he seemed sweet on Kiss and cry show... I started to like him as a person.
Plus he is the one who has face /body that is attractive to me :)
Ps: didn't even know about them being in the same group some time ago, and I don't care at all. I don't care about the other members, neither Chagmin, and I think their fandom is just too fucked up, better stay faaaaaaaaaar away from it.
So far I can say I like Yunho and his dancing and his personality... I'll only care about Yunho, not Homin/jyj/old tvxq neither this mess is this whole JYJ vs Homin fighter /fandom:)

Both were wrong, the saesang for the things they did (and no they don't deserve to be hit, JYJ are bigger and older than most of their fans) and JYJ for not handling it properly.

But from what I learned, I'm in the minority that both were wrong and I'm the one who needs help and JYJ stans are always right.

I think is the same for another older DBSK fans like me, we don't hate JYJ, we just stopped caring.
Their stans (korean or Int) are so full of bitterness and hatred that it's hard for them to ignore the easiest target: Yunho and Changmin.
That's why they go from thread to thread or dedicate full sites to speak ill about them.
It's must be hard to live with this kind of negative feelings, I hope someday they can find the way to move on.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a JYJ stan or a TVXQ/Homin stan (whatever you want to call the duo)...I love both groups equally and yes, I have been their fan for a loooooong time--so regarding the many comments "referencing" the JYJ scandal with saesaeng fans Iwould like to logically remind those who brought it up that the girls were not just innocent bystanders or whatnot--they were stalking JYJ---which by the way is illegal (common sense unless, of course you live in some remote, uncivilized place in the world). I'm pretty sure if I sent you creepy mail with menstruation blood, broke into your house to install cameras/take pictures and then proceeded to disseminate such "evidence" of me having broke into your house", or randomly tried to grope you in the most indecent places (and intruded your privacy in every way possible) you will want to do worse things than what Jaejoong and Yoochun did. These people are not fans (can they even be considered humans...I wonder) and while violence should not be condoned, people should keep in mind that not only are they human (yes, I know another very subjective and vague excuse but I would love if you could prove to me that you haven't snapped at someone when you're in a terrible mood) but they are in a stressful situation and these stalkers are not helping to ameliorate the situation. ReplyDeletei kinda disagree to you bout jeajong and junsu being the center of the groups performance,, in singing yes it was junsu but in dancing, definitely it was and is YUNHO.. changmin ang jeajong comes nxt in singing, i prefer changmin's high notes though.. in terms of popularity, it was and is YUNJAE that makes the group more popular.

Honestly, I think that if YunJae were to stick together whether in SM or out of it the fan war won't be as big as it turned out. People are just distressed that their favorite pairings are on different sides.
