If the article is true in that Junsu really does receive $60k, none of it is going to waste. What the problem is that the journalist didn't even check the numbers or the facts and is trying to paint Junsu in a bad light by acting as if musical tickets being priced at $100 is all Junsu's fault without accounting for other expenses like staff and equipment.

So far I only see JYJ's members winning awards and recognition for their activities, the ones that are not completely blocked.

You need to learn to stop being denial about it. Junsu is talented, yes I admit. Out of jyj members, I think he's the one found who've found a wise and perfect decision for his solo career. Junsu fits perfectly for musical. He belongs to the stage, and he's amazing in it. But you can't deny, his success, part of it is because he was well known as being from the group, tvxq. If he wasn't, and if he started as a musical artist from scratch, as in really debuted as musical artist, he'll probably have a long long way to go, just like every other musical artist that legit debuted as musical artist. Junsu, altho talented, started out with a big name already, he's an idol turn musical actor. His fans needs to realize and acknowledge this fact too.
DeleteYes part of the reason for Junsu's earlier success in his musicals is due to his being in TVXQ once upon a time. Nevertheless, the reason why he has had continued success, did not fail miserably like many other idols have done, and why he was awarded with best actor is all because of Junsu's own efforts and hard work. The TVXQ name is just a part of the equation, a small part.

Not fans, but musical actors have chosen Junsu as the best male actor this year :) It’s really big honor and tells a lot of how Junsu is viewed by his colleges :) Congratulations!

ReplyDeleteFirst off, i think the ignorant one is you..Junsu is the only idol who has been nominated for best male lead...I know there has been a couple of idols that have been nominated in the 'Best Rookie' category, but plz bear in mind junsu's the only one who won it both. I also know that he's not the first idol to take home the highest honour, this is Ok Ju Hyun's 2nd win for 'Best Female Lead' (she's awesome)..but the same time how many of us are familiar with ok's idol music? she's been out of the idol scene for more than just a few years. Having said that, Junsu is at a point in his career where he is both an established and relevant idol as well as musical actor. This is in fact really rare.
And about selling out tickets, though i don't doubt other idols selling power (thus the influx of idol in the musical scene), only Jo Seung Woo and Junsu can truly sell out performances, other idols sell but they obviously don't sell out...that's why junsu's such a big deal
And frankly how many other idols can you name that actually got good reviews for their performances? Tbh, i can name more of dem which tanked...Though i'm sure that you're butthurt dat ur oppars didn't win (or get nominated), dragging down someone who worked very hard to get where he's at is just plain low..peace out..

Third. I am so HAPPY for Junsu! He finally was able to achieve the most coveted award. And he did it through blood sweat and tears, he worked hard in these roles he deserves this recognition and I thinks it is perfect that his fellow colleagues gave this award to him. They've been with him from the beginning and everything he learned is because of their support. Junsu has so much people who love him and who guide him, I hope he continues to improve in his musical journey that's just beginning.
