You've probably read a few best replies in G-Dragon articles mentioning B2ST's Junhyung. Well, the topic of copying styles came up again on Bestiz and Pann today.
As expected, there's a lot of fan war in the comments. Bestiz doesn't have a best reply service, but I'm pretty sure you can guess the arguments of either side yourself.
The OP wrote, "It's not like the pieces are basic pieces you can get from anywhere... They specifically chose the same 'Balmain' brand. G-Dragon's outfit chose is unique in that it's also specifically a women's clothing piece. Too close to say that it's a coincidence."

even the way he raps and how he composes some of his songs are very similar to g-dragon's style, but sort of like a watered down version.

imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. and the most annoying.
All I know is both of their hairstyle is fug in the last few pics.........wtf is with that hair dyed + style...

I'm no Junhyung fan but oh my dear lord...if you are saying G-dragon is "praised" for being the most innovative and creative then you have been living in your VIP land for far too long.
Accept it VIPs GD is a plagiarizer, he did it before 2647272 times and will continue to do it.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of either. I can't take them seriously as rappers. There are way better K-rappers, idols or not. But at least Junhyung doesn't plagiarize. Plus, he doesn't act all "hood" like GD (which bugs the fuck out of me).

ReplyDeleteeveryone knows about junhyung copying gd it's so damn obvious that even junhyung doesn't try to hide it lol. as for gd, he has his own creative side, but like every creative mind, your mind is tickled when you see something you like and you want to create the same piece for yourself. both are doing well on their own though and i quiet like them both.

first off, i'm not a Beast fan... -the only one that catchs my eye is Hyungseung for some reason and the only song i like is "on rainy days"- im a Big Bang fan for like 2 years and so now and the 1st thing i noticed is that you're into K-pop -and pretty much EVERY kind of music- you should know there are some things that are not innovative or would be used by someone at some point doesnt matter if its clothes, accesories, words, rhymes, music genres, style of sampling, etc. and before you notice it everyone would be wearing it or using it... we're seeing it now with the pastel colors/fantasy hair... the 1st idol i saw with those colors was Dalmatian's Youngwon and now everyone is painting their hair like that... there are some shocking similarities and i've found myself doing a double take with Beast's/Junhyung's fashion/styling because ive felt ive seen those hairstyles or clothes elsewhere but it's not like i'll badmouth them for that... its not like idols are in awards ceremonies like the Oscars where brands/designers would track who they gave their pieces to prevent these allegedly "copying" from happening... so for me its ironic how we're all fighting while at Balmain i bet they dont even care who wears what because at the end of the day they get paid for the pieces...
