  4. the reason why gary left is said to be about the super7 concert hosted by the infinity challenge members and leessang company.

    during the labor strike of mbc this year , the IC members still met every week even though they didnt need to shoot and they came up with the super 7 concert idea as a way to thank the audiences for waiting their comeback. since this is an idea from the members only and has nothing to do with the actual show, MBC and the crew members of IC are not involved. the members have to find a company to organize the event for them and of course they chose leessang company.
    the problem arises when they announced the date and the price of the concert. netizens bashed leessang company/leessang for setting the ticket prices too high and also one of the concert time will crash with the airtime of IC (on saturday night). in the past, IC had done numerous of concerts or events that were free of charge, therefore the netizens felt like they were taking advantage of this concert to gain money. however, since this concert is not produced by mbc or IC but the memebers themselves, therefore they have to sell the tickets in order to overcome their costs (since mbc will not invest on it)

    anyway, netizens bashed them harshly and that leads to the cancellation of the concert and also the leaving of gary and gil from variety shows

  6. Correct me if I'm wrong but Gary got. a arm tattoo right after it was announced that Jihyo had a boyfriend right? I mean, around that period ~ It's really sad cause I think Gary really likes her... I know it's a variety show but the rm members have said upteen times in a joking manner "Wow his reactions are really real!" "I think he really likes her" ..

  7. nooooooo and gil also leave long long tweet (translated by ddd fansub, you can see it in their facebook page). long story short, because they felt guilty, they're going to leave both shows........ what is this........ T_T this is so depressing. this year is totally depressing for me. why must they leave???? those idols have done worse and you don't see them leave. why??? what did they do wrong???!! why are people complaining. if they don't want to pay then don't watch it!!!! they've planned the concert way back then during mbc strike. T.T

    and yeah, can you also translate their reaction about IC and super7 concert?? million thanks for translating anyway~!!!! :D

    Oh get over it, they acted like a couple because it's a variety show. He probably already knew of Jihyo's boyfriend. Stop being so delusion. It's because of comments like these that give Jihyo a bad rep.

  9. .... why suddenly bring monday couple issue? lol this has nothing to do with that and monday couple days are already over, even jihyo needs to struggle for her own airtime. i know majority of i-fans don't watch infinity challenge so this issue hits you suddenly... but it's the best variety show ever, hahaha. i wonder what exactly the netizens reaction regarding ticket pricing for super7 that they need to cancel it? please translate news like that too instead of idols only~ i think it's getting hot reaction in korea considering how popular these shows are between netizens, right?

  11. dude chill..? anonymous brought in Monday couple because Gary's main character on running man is being Jihyo's partner. Do you think he could survive that long in rm without jihyo...? now that Jihyo's boyfriend is announced, he really has no character left. unlike the others with grasshopper, commander, haroro, mong Ji, easy brothers . it's only a matter of time he leave the show after the announcement, with or without super7 being cancelled.

    1. jihyo got less airtime than him in recent episodes, even sukjin got more exposure recently. gary's female guests' favorite and his cheesiness aren't exclusive to jihyo only. being a jihyo fan myself, it's obvious that she's being mia in the latest episodes, esp with pds catering on female guests. imo, she's in the most danger position. well unless you never watch running man yourself, this discussion is pointless. but again, why bring up this discussion here?

    2. i bet to differ. gary's popularity is skyrocketing after joining rm. he becomes the ideal bf of the female audience. he appeared on IC to feat for gil and the audience all went crazy. seeing the above comments you can tell that netizens do not see him as a nobody

      however, i think jihyo is struggled recently, considering how little airtime she got for each episode..she seems not very into the show....

    1. i think it's the IC fans who are complaining...
      the super 7 ticket prices are much higher than the other artists concerts. the most expensive one costs $100,000won, higher than lady gaga's korea concert and bigbang's alive concert($77000won)
      i do believe that some of them are just pointing out that the price is unacceptably high but since gil is not welcomed by some of the IC fans since day one he joined the show, some may said harsh things to him and leading him to this decision

    2. that's about... $90 right? that's the most expensive, you say? how's that expensive...? of course it's still expensive to me, but aren't concert ticket prices like that? or it's different in SK? considering how lady gaga's most expensive ticket is only 77,000 won... dang, i should just live in SK if that's the case... ._.

      poor gil. he's not too active these past years (partly because he went dry, partly because hyungdon and joonha get much better), but he really did well during his early days... :'(

    3. korea concert generally set the tickets in a lower price than other countries. therefore this time it is hard for international fans like us to understand the viewpoint of koreans

      snsd: 88k won
      iu: ~99k won
      xia junsu: 66k~132k won
      jyj: 55k~198k won

      actually, super7 ones are averages if the most expensive ones are 90k won... <_<# maybe because they're used to free events like ic music festival or haha-hongchul battle, and that they're all not exactly "singers" (except leessang), and add in the fact that leessang company behind this... so much hate to gil... >~<

    I actually thought it was due to his back injury (which in most cases is a temporary halt), but this makes the halt even longer. :( I really do enjoy watching Gary on RM. He's one of my faves. Now I'm STRESSED!

    And about Ji Hyo, it's true...she has been getting less air time. :(

  16. I've been a fan of LeeSsang before I got to watch IC and RM. The love they (Gil and Gary) have for IC and RM even reflected on their last two albums; and knowing how hard they've worked to get to where they are today, only to be treated by KNetizens this way hurts my heart.

    Much as I feel disappointed over their decision to leave, I guess it's for the best; to come back to what they do best — music.

    It's just sad, knowing I won't get to see them as much (TV/internet) moving forward. :(
