1. [+523, -61] Big Bang is so lucky. They can have one night stands and smoke marijuana because they have shields from their fans that allow them to continue appearing on TV ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ If it had been the Wonder Girls, SNSD, KARA, A Pink, or Girl's Day, they'd probably be treated like how T-ara is treated now. Fangirls are always so generous with male idols. There might not be shields now, but I'm sure there will soon be replies saying to cut back on the hateful replies.
2. [+415, -26] Is Seungri losing his popularity or is YG throwing some money around? Why aren't there any more articles on him
3. [+367, -31] Farewell Seungri

Knetizens sure seem desperate lately. It seems as if most hate stems from the double standards in Korea rather than what Seungri supposedly did.
ReplyDeleteThis little issue isn't going to hurt Big Bang in the slightest. Their images have never been clean and proper but some netizens or trolls never seem to learn from their mistakes.
lol k-netizens complaining about standard differences between male and female idols. It's not just the overprotective fans that keep that standard going- if anything, k-netizens play a large part too.
ReplyDeleteand seriously. A dating 'scandal' the end of Seungri? lol. These k-netizens may be famous for their ability to tear apart the facts and non-facts - but they're pretty disillusioned if they think things will be over so easily.
Let me get this straight, so because if he were a she he'd a ton of hate, so logical thing is to hate him like as if he were a she getting hate from fangirls. O_o I can't be the only one who thinks that seem quite dumb.
ReplyDelete"If it had been the Wonder Girls, SNSD, KARA, A Pink, or Girl's Day, they'd probably be treated like how T-ara is treated now."
ReplyDeleteI doubt that, MAYBE the wonder girls and girl's day since I think the they the smallest amount of fans but the other three especially especially SNSD yeah no.
Wth no. Wonder Girls has way more fans than Girls' Day and Apink.
DeleteCan you post what netizens are talking about SPICA comeback? Are they still hating the girl who is dating J?
ReplyDeleteLol at all of you giving shit to Knetizens for acknowledging the double standards and calling them out like so many international fans have done before. You call netizens sad because of the double standards, but when Seungri is on the chopping block and people are talking about the double standards, its netizens are desperate.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't a "dating" scandal because Seungri isn't dating her, and since YG didn't clear up the previous sex issue, people think Seungri is going around having one night stands - if it were a girl, she'd be called a slut and forced to have a "reflection" period. But Netizens are desperate and dumb for pointing that fact out. From what I see, he's not receiving "hate" people just want to know what the fuck is going on and YG is just letting it blow over like it doesn't matter, and that's what really pissing people off.
I bet it is true if girl group involve they will get harsher feedback...K-netizen do unfair
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how people are laughing at the double standard when it is happening to her too. Look at how many articles are popping up about her. Seungri had a sex scandal and there are no articles . Netizens are speaking the truth
ReplyDeleteNo doubt if this was girl idol having one night stands, there would be a witch hunt. Too bad that netizen didn't point out the sexism behind it. This scandals outcome will most like fall under the shitty sexist excuse of 'boys will be boys'.
ReplyDeleteHm, if my fav male idol was caught smoking marijuana or having one night stand, I'd probably stop stanning him ahah :| He can do it as long as he's not caught lol.
ReplyDeleteits not just k-netizens. if it was a girl group member (esp SNSD or other SME groups) international kpop fans will call her a slut. but since its a boy and hes from YGE fangirls are defending him saying hes all grown up and they're proud of him. ugghh i would never be proud of someone just because he had an one night stand especially if he's an idol worshipped by teenagers.

ReplyDeleteDouble standard? She sold pictures of her partner after having sex and she turned out to be a girl group member. Of course people will write about her, duh! There were lots of articles about Seungri already.
netizens are right, and butthurt fans are proving them true!
ReplyDeleteSniff! Sniff! Vip, they were here
ReplyDeletelove that first comment tbh
ReplyDeleteBrace yourselves vips are coming
ReplyDeleteah waiting for the storm to pass, knetizens will love him again like thay did after they won the ema.
ReplyDeletewhy is it that they assume those who 'shield' seungri are the same who bash t-ara? THESE knetizens are the ones with double standards. does it make them feel better to just say otherwise.
ReplyDeletethey way k-netizen speak about k-vips sounds like they fucking run shit lol
ReplyDeleteIt's good that they're bringing up sexism issues but it's like they don't understand that THEY are the problem here. Protective fan girls will be dumb but not as dumb as the k-netizen that bring down girl groups for the dumbest shit imaginable.
...You are aware that there are logical K-netizens, yes? and that some fan girls turn on their favorites as well? and how are they the problem here? For pointing out a fact? I'm starting to wonder if I-netizens are the more stupid of the two.
DeleteIt's true that double standards do exist, but in the end, netizens shouldn't be chastising ANYONE for having a sex life and having one night stands - it's their own business, and not 'immoral' as so many netizens seem to claim. If this was an article about a girl group member, I would hope that those people complaining about double standards would be defending her as well!!
ReplyDeleteThis shouldn't be the end of Seungri's career or ANYONE's career if something similar happened. He's helping a drunk girl into a cab. How this constitutes a scandal in the first place is beyond me.
who's the other chick with the red circle? i wish there was a summary of the article. lol

ReplyDeletedo your research first kay~
KUBO ANNA WAS THE ONE SEEN IN HONG KONG KISSING SEUNGRI ON THE CHEEK! Not the one that send in the alledgely sex picture. She never identified herself which is obvious smart move since fangirls might try to kill her
anon @ 12:37pm, the title of the article is right there and it says "with Chae Eun Jung." so i'm pretty sure the other girl is Chae Eun Jung...
ReplyDeletebut anyway, to comment on the ~scandal~ meh. first netizen is right. both k-netizens and i-netizens alike would have thrown slur after slur if it was a female idol who was in a sex scandal. like honestly, if it was hyuna who was in the scandal, fandom would get their crayon.
Agreed with the first comment of the k-netizens, if this was a female idol, most netizens(i-netizens included) would've called her bitch, slut and their will be a witch hunt or petitions to quit and reflect lol
ReplyDeleteRather than voicing your concern on double standard/sex inequality, you netizens just use it as a reason to throw shades on someone who has nothing with those social flaws at all. How low you are? Bring in more nagativities is your way of solving the problem?
ReplyDeleteYou just have to see it from the k-netizen's POV to understand how come their comment's sounds so "blunt" and "double-standard".
ReplyDeleteInternational fans would never truly understand K-netizen's way of thinking and vice versa. There were too much differences in culture and way of living, thinking and watching.
I-netizens using their own culture and ideology to give comments about people from another country telling them how to live their lives. Its a wonder how america abolished slavery and segregation.
