Article: Big Bang, "We reprimanded Seungri a lot... He is reflecting"
Source: Mydaily via Nate [allkpop article here]
1. [+803, -74] The only one in Big Bang that has any right to reprimand Seungri is Taeyang ã…‹
2. [+572, -252] So they basically just admitted that the scandal was true
3. [+516, -239] Complete admittance of the scandal being true
4. [+138, -42] So they're basically saying it's true
5. [+128, -41] So it's true that he chokes girls? And throws towels?
6. [+112, -43 ] ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ GD what a shameless b@stard ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Reminds me of a particular quote... "Know yourself" ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹
7. [+99, -12] They say he's doing fine in Japan ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Of course he's doing fine ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ He probably doesn't even know what he did wrong yet
8. [+89, -31] So it must've all been true then. The only people in the group that have any right to reprimand him are T.O.P. or Taeyang.. Jiyong doesn't deserve to say a word, and unfortunately for Daesung, yeah... I'm not a Big Bang fan but I think it'd be great if they went back to their roots
9. [+78, -24] This isn't a matter of reflection but halting his activities. All of their cases are unresolved. If they're not belittling the public, they should apologize and halt their activities. Do they think it's over just because they reprimanded him by themselves?
10. [+72, -20] Did they just say that it was "a good experience"... Marijuana, car accidents, sex scandals... Yeah, I'm sure they're all "good experiences"...

Can we get a translation or at least a summary of the actual article content here? It's hard to know exactly how babyish and stupid Netizens are being without the proper context (okay, "extremely" is a safe bet but it's good to be sure).
ReplyDeleteI included a link to the allkpop article =)
ReplyDeleteOh thanks, sorry I'm clearly blind.
ReplyDeleteHere come the righteous VIPs...
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you scroll up and click on the link Netizenbuzz kindly provided?
ReplyDeleteOh netizenbuzz... Thank you as always for your accurate translations and sagacious selection of articles! This is so interesting..keep it up!
ReplyDeleteWow, I was just wondering how long it would take you guys to put this up with netizen comments (cuz I was admittedly curious) and BAM, there it was! x'D Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWell...they seem no different from what I assumed they would be tbqh
If Seungri wants to slap and choke me on bed he has all the right to do it.
ReplyDeleteI bet Seungri has STDs
ReplyDeleteVI stands for Vaginal Infection, jsyk
DeleteGdragon and Seungri are mansluts, rumors says they also do drugs before sex.
ReplyDeleteAll I hope is that he choked her with her consent and she's fine with it but he's still a douche .
ReplyDeleteThere u GO to the VIP who still cannot believe this is true...
ReplyDeleteDaesung's accident, however unfortunate, was really just an accident... He wasn't drinking...and he took the time to "reflect" or whatever knetizens like to call it. Are they really going to call him deliquent forever?
ReplyDeletepeople at akp so nice. Saying they are mature and honest ROLF.
ReplyDeleteYeah, so mature Seungri said nothing and YG didn't explain anything.
Plus, GD saying it is good experience in a way, no Daesung's car accident will never be a good experience, is he smoking too much that he can't think right?
Seungri has been on my s*** list when he said that he was happy that the van he got into accidentally (in America) did not belong to an African American person because he would have been shot. Seriously how can anyone defend this sorry excuse for a person.
ReplyDeleteHe needs to disappear and take big bang with him.
Seungri oppar didn't mean it! He's thinking with his dick! Don't blame oppa! Blame his penis! It's that little guy's fault!!
ReplyDeleteI highly doubt they did. They probably knew about this before anyone else, so why "reprimand" him now? There was no official statement and to make things worse, YG tended to the other scandal in no time flat. I'm waiting for YG to properly handle a scandal someday.
ReplyDelete"Seungri has been on my s*** list when he said that he was happy that the van he got into accidentally (in America) did not belong to an African American person because he would have been shot."
ReplyDeleteWait what? Does anyone have a clearer quote of what he said? :O
"Seungri has been on my s*** list when he said that he was happy that the van he got into accidentally (in America) did not belong to an African American person because he would have been shot. Seriously how can anyone defend this sorry excuse for a person."
ReplyDeletePreach! Hated him ever since then too, and this dirty disgusting scandal was just the icing on the cake.
"a good experience"... Marijuana, car accidents, sex scandals...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm sure they're all "good experiences".
---
this is normal; you DBSK, JYJ, SJ and SHINee oppas do the same.
Why do fans need to bring other groups in to justify their own oppars behaviour lol
DeleteIAt least with sme (since you mentioned their groups) they quickly release statements (never deny the truth which is what yg and that kks always do) then pull out their group to avoid backlash which is what the Korean netizens are angry about.
Lol @ you only targeting SM artists. Your insecurity is showing. No surprise with this fandom, though. and no, those are not "normal".
DeleteSeungri has been on my s*** list when he said that he was happy that the van he got into accidentally (in America) did not belong to an African American person because he would have been shot.
ReplyDeleteSadly I have to agree on this. BUT let's remember he is not the first or the only idol who has said racist derogatory remarks towards Blacks. The fact that people who have actually been raised in the U.S. (Or anywhere where there are Black communities) and who live side by side with Black people speaks volumes about the crazy one-sided fans BB has.
That's what bothers me, people like big bang who are influenced by America and their artists yet throw remarks like that makes me want to avoid anything the group does and their fans too :/
DeleteHe may not be the first one but it's still not an excuse (I'm not directing this at you but to their fans who throw that as an excuse) especially if the group have always mentioned they look up to artists like Usher etc
*sigh*
Sad that in a couple of months he will probably be promoting as if nothing had happened without any real answers given about the scandal by him or YG.
ReplyDelete"I can't actually say that I love him right at this moment. I THINK HE NEEDS MORE TIME TO REFLECT." -- spoken by taeyang himself, not netizens, not YG, not seungri, not their leader g-dragon. i totally respect taeyang. i've anticipated his solo more than a group comeback. please comeback with a new solo album~
ReplyDeleteas for daesung, well, daesung's case is unfortunate and seems like netizens don't really hate him (well that reply says "unfortunately" first unlike those for gd). at least he took a period of hiatus (quick hiatus though). plus, he doesn't go around telling haters to shut up because he thinks he's one of a kind.
Right now Seungri is thinking "Next time I have sex, I need to kick the chick out"
ReplyDeletesome vip even make excuse that they're talking about that one with anna kubo, because the sex scandal isn't true....... crap. they seems to never stop right?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous September 26, 2012 1:30 AM
ReplyDeleteVideo: /watch?v=BBFH_01zyQ8
Seungri needed to change he got in the van and took off clothes but it was the wrong van. The owner of the van was an old white woman.
@2:37 Tablo and other Big Bang members said "You could've been shot" (because guns are not banned in America unlike Korea) then Seungri said "Fortunately they were white. If they were black..." he stopped talking and everyone became silent.
There aren't many black people living in Korea. Some people aren't familiar with other races and still have stereotypes. But what he said isn't acceptable even in Korea as you can see other members were shocked at his remark. I think he was trying to be funny but he was being ignorant. I guess this is why big bang members are always worried whenever Seungri talks.
I really like Bigbang, as a group and even gd and taeyang as solo artists. I wouldn't call myself as VIP as I am not that crazy about them yet. But I do purposely buy albums and keep their posters and try if I can attend their concert (but i can't :().
ReplyDeleteI only knew them 4 months ago and it's fantastic baby that brought me to know them. I am kinda sad over GD's scandal and Daesung's accident. But I think Daesung wasn't drunk and the accident was entirely his fault. But SPEEDING IS A BIG NONO , even for celebrities.
I am disappointed with GD's scandal, maybe what he said is true, or maybe it's not. Nevertheless, he should be really careful since he is a celebrity. He is responsible to what he has done. It's a pity to him that he doesn't have privacy. But still NO DRUG PLEASE. (ps: but I like his songs lol, I admire him as a singer/artist/producer, but I will not take him as my role model.
And seungri, I didn't take it serious when the scandal in Japan came out. It surprised me tbh, but I thought (and still think) that the paparazzi shouldn't publish this kinda thing. PRIVACY SIR. But after the HK scandal, I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH HIM. He knew that he is in trouble and he should just BE CAREFUL. This is seriously not a wise action to still act like a playboy. SORRY SEUNGRI.
By the way, I really like Bigbang, I only listen to them for K-pop. But Seungri really disappoints me. Hope he will really reflect.
^ continue
ReplyDeleteBTW seriously, some people are just .....dont ever try to offend idols if they did something wrong. It's their responsible to offend their image THEMSELVES.
Some fans' actions are just ridiculous. They will just bring down the image of the fandom and even the group.
Kinda ashamed that I like same group as they do.
I can't take allkpop comments seriously.
ReplyDelete"They're doing damage control and it's so adorable!"
"What did seungri do wrong? It's fine in my books"
"So he's not allowed to have a personal life?"
rofl VIPs are the best
if it was one of a girl group member.. all hell breaks loose. "omg slut how did her parents teach her" "i hope she gets kicked out" "she should take a long break" But yeah I guess it's normal for men to go out and have fun. Woman should stay pure till their marriage
ReplyDelete^
ReplyDeleteI feel ashamed to be in the same fandom as them
SERIOUSLY
Can someone tell me what's so wrong about this? Why is this a scandal anyway? Don't you think he's a normal person with needs and feelings? So what even if they admitted that this "scandal" is thru? Guys, chill.
ReplyDelete2 words: Cutural difference.
Deleteyou need to read up on the comments posted in Netizenbuzz and AKP ( there are some good ones there, but mostly trash)..
At this point of time, almost everyone is on the same page regarding this issue.
GD takes drugs, fine. But probably 80 percent of celebrities take them. So what? he's being bashed because he got caught? Get a life haters! And Daesung's accident was UNINTENTIONAL! He got hurt too, emotionally. For seungri, it's just a picture of him sleeping? no PROOF of choking, so now he can't sleep too? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteAt least they admitted? They did not deny or run away unlike ahem2pmahemkhun tried to drink water to lower his alchohol intake. Papa YG taught them well. I'm proud as a VIP!
Be strong bb!!!
Lol. Classic case of delu lu fangirl.
Delete80 % where? This is korea hun. Idols aren't stupid enough to be taking drugs like that esp. When they get random tests, stupid ass.
Khun, unlike Seungri, admitted his wrong. Apologized and took time off.
Would it shock you that there are people who actually don't take it cause it's disgusting?
DeleteI'm no fan of 2pm so i am basing this from reading articles, it never mentioned that he ran away and he actually apologized, took responsibility and secretly did volunteer work AND jyp issued statements admiting that Nickhun is wrong and is being punished accordingly.
Tell me if vips are so sure that big bang did nothing wrong then why does yg keep on denying everything? Because it sure seems like yg is trying to hide the scandals and making it seem like it's non existent.
I just love how vips provide me the drama and always drag in another group lmao
sighs, another person whom I have to teach about CULTURAL DIFFERENCE to.
DeleteI'm getting tired of repeating the same thing.
(on a side note, you mentioned about taking drugs. Hey, one more thing to add on my 'list of cultural difference'' and 'the horrid examples that Westernals set for their youth'. FYI most people in Asian countries don't do drugs. (of course some do, like those shady ones.)
RANDOM... but i just laughed out loud at gd's beanie...."comme des fuck down." hahahhahah
ReplyDeleteLMAO!! you are right! There was a scandal too. abt his offensive words on his clothes. That's why most of the commenters mentioned that only Taeyang and maybe...TOP qualify to reprimand SR. (DS's case is complicated and a misfortune) ):
DeleteLmao, don't you see this article above? Big bang APOLOGISED for Seungri, and YG did NOT deny. It's just haters who ASSUMED they denied. They kept quiet, which is a good thing btw. It's his personal life so who are we to butt in and comment?
ReplyDeleteI don't think seung ri is in any wrong, YG probably thought so too, that's when the haters bring it out of hand, bb had no choice but to step up and apologize. Give them a break! GD's finally having his comeback and you haters are ridiculous!
"Can someone tell me what's so wrong about this? Why is this a scandal anyway? Don't you think he's a normal person with needs and feelings?"
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think people make such a big deal when a celebrity sex tape is discovered? I mean they are just having sex right?
The answer is simply that it's just shocking to see such personal information being known by the public. Although Seungri's was just a photo, it was obvious it was taken by his sex partner who most likely was an escort(prostitute) or a one-night stand at best and she has also said he likes to do things like choke his sex partners. So as you can see we as humans just live in such a society in which we would rather not know about these many personal details about someone we don't even really know. If not why wouldn't we just announce to the world every time we've just had sex with someone? It's because of that kind of thing is considered a 'private matter' that only us should know about.
i wonder why with all their scandals, ppl still follow them and wont give a shit about those other hundreds of male groups trying to be like them and copy them like beast, 2pm, shinee, tvxq, suju.
ReplyDeleteTHIS^
Deletetbh I think beast and tvxq is freakishly alike to big bang. Their MVs ESPECIALLY.. Now we all know who's the trendsetter ;)
BB hwaiting ~^_^~
if only that beast guy was more famous, maybe his dead dad could have covered the sex scandal the same way t-ara covered for the 2pm guy drunk driving. can pls translate 2pm articles wanna see netizen hate on 2pm
ReplyDeleteWow. Srsly. I never like beast but how can you be so insensitive by dragging a person passed away inside this mess . learn and show some respect, dude.
Deleteha. ha. and vip is chill and cool????? fck off. it's really insensitive to talk about hyunseung. and just so you i-fans know, the whole ic/super 7/leessang also took lots of attention. world isn't revolting around bigbang or t-ara. but their nonstop activities, no reflection period, and they took too much time instead of immediately apologize, are the causes of this whole mess. you won't see 2pm flooded with hate as much as you get now, because nichkhun apologized immediately and took a good amount of BREAK. geez. what's so hard to apologize????
Delete"There aren't many black people living in Korea. Some people aren't familiar with other races and still have stereotypes. "
ReplyDeleteBut until when will that be an excuse? I personally have never met an aboriginal person from Australia but I don't go around saying stereotypical things about them when I haven't even really studied their culture.
Big flop Bang deserve this, I hope they get more hate.
ReplyDeleteThey won't, because VIPs are actually the coolest fandom :) They'll support Big Bang all the way. And what do they deserve? FYI this "scandal" is not even touching their status at all, it's just something else to help them gain fans.
Deletebtw I'm not a VIP ~
boo yaaah. coolest my ass. don't you read how netizens despise k-vips for all sorts of things they've done? and i personally dislike i-vips and i'm not the only one.
DeleteFlop? I understand u hate them , please if you are going to hate atleast use words that are true? Flop..don't make me laugh
DeleteSad that in a couple of months he will probably be promoting as if nothing had happened without any real answers given about the scandal by him or YG.
ReplyDeleteand what do u want him to say...it's his life cuz he has a life u know?! we don't own him, so why he has to apologise for having sex. it wasn't rape or violence what he does behind closed doors is his bussines.
ty for the article i was about to request it :D
"and what do u want him to say...it's his life cuz he has a life u know?! we don't own him, so why he has to apologise for having sex. it wasn't rape or violence what he does behind closed doors is his bussines."
ReplyDeleteSomeday i'll 'own' his sex tape, for sure..
Seungri oppa didnt do anythign wrong, he can cum on my stomach or face anytime, I can clean it up myself and won't complain. He can stick it anywhere.
ReplyDelete"Seungri oppa didnt do anythign wrong, he can cum on my stomach or face anytime, I can clean it up myself and won't complain. He can stick it anywhere."
ReplyDeleteCan he choke you too and not kiss you? Hehe.
I see the Morality Police is still present here. When will you guys understand that for some people weed and a one night stand is not a big deal? In my high school, that was barely something to brag home about lmao. Big Bang scandals so far are such pussy scandals I cannot even. If you don't think it's common for 20-something rich good-looking celebrities to ~experiment~ and have tons of kinky sex, you should probably never leave your house because the world will disappoint you tbh.
ReplyDeleteVIPs are Seungri sl*ts.
ReplyDeleteliterally
Don't generalize the whole fandom. I feel ashamed to be in the same fandom as those delusional fans . And I am disappointed with seungri. And gdragon. But I like his album LOL
ReplyDelete^^^ for the nth times, when will you guys understand that this isn't your country and pushing your culture to everyone doesn't work???????? there's a reason why it's called "scandal", because it isn't up to their standard norm. not that korean are squeaky clean, heck no, but it's not something you speak comfortably and such. it's still viewed as morally wrong. get over it. seungri is a korean, still make money in korea, unless he's moved to japan completely, then he's obliged to fulfill the social standard.
ReplyDeleteVIP should just shut up. The more they talk, the more hate their oppas will receive. So after their own oppa sex they're...
ReplyDelete1) Denying it, thinking it's fishy, and bringing up Nishikido Ryo's scandal. Attack to JE fans!!
2) Admitting it, saying that this is okay and it's his business. Attack to Korean society!!
3) Posting malicious comments in Hyunseung's father news. Insensitively saying about he's not famous enough for his father covering their oppas' wrongdoing. Attack to B2ST, Hyunseung, Hyunseung's father, and B2UTY!!!
4) Now, even some of them start their usual attack to other boybands. Because their oppas are sooo awesome, trendsetters, and everyone even those who debut way before them, are following them. Horay! Attack to the whole Kpop fans!!!! But wait, we're already used to this kind of attack, lmao.
After all this, you VIPs still don't understand why people dislike you????? Are you guys that stupid and insensitive?????? I genuinely like some of the members, like most of their songs, but calling myself as "VIP" is something I can't do. I don't want to be a part of a group who often bash other groups to praise their bias and continuously breaking social morals. Just... No.
Fuck Seungri that piece of trash
ReplyDeleteThe immaturity in this post is astounding. I don't know why I bother. To all of the VIP's defending their bias group, don't bother. It's useless, just ask ELFS. To all of the haters jumping on the bandwagon, your lack of intelligence is showing.
ReplyDeleteTo all of those haters bringing up Seungri's racist comments from 5 years ago, it's getting old. What he said was wrong and hurtful, but he has said himself that being exposed to other cultures outside of Korea has taught him a lot. I think he has matured out of some of his prejudices, just as most people hopefully do once they get out into the world. Of course, as a celebrity, this will follow him around forever just like this new scandal.
To those hoping or worried that this is going to bring Big Bang down, it's not. They don't have a clean image. That is a given. But they are good at what they do and A LOT of people like their music. If you need someone to idolize for their clean image, then Big Bang is not for you.
The VIP's here really need to learn the meaning of "cultural differences" lol
ReplyDelete^ typical US mindset: US value = world value
ReplyDeleteWe all living in America,
ReplyDeleteAmerica, America,
We all living in America,
Coca Cola, Wonderbra,
"typical US mindset: US value = world value"
ReplyDeleteWho are you talking to?
yep Seungri is racist too, he thinks black people are the shit of the society.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think as humans, all of us make mistakes and we deserve a second chance. Wouldn't you want others so give you another chance instead of criticising you? And on top of that, Daesung's was an accident. He could have been injured himself. What makes you think he wanted that? T.O.P and Taeyang are totally innocent. G-Dragon's was probably not intentional. Who the hell in their right mind would do that? You would probably say G-Dragon but he would have enough sense to know what would happen if he was caught. Plus, it was only a weak positive. Which meant he did not smoke it often. For Seungri, well there's nothing I can say about that but as the youngest of the band, we should give him a second chance. If Big Bang is capable of producing good music, why not give all of them a second chance? All of us have made mistakes before, but if it wasnt for the people around us who understood and forgave us, we would feel guilty right? I am sure thats exactly how Big Bang feels. Give them a chance to make amends for their mistakes. Don't be too fast to make judgements. On top of that, about protecting children from all these, I feel that this would be essential for them to know that this is wrong. It would actually indirectly help them because their parents would be able to use this example to teach them whats right and whats wrong.I understand that parents are very worried about their children learning from all these scandals but I believe that they would know right from wrong without anyone teaching them. I also believe that the schools would teach them to be a better person. Thank you for taking time to read my comment and this is just my opinions. Just to let you guys know, I am not a VIP and I am not trying to help them cover up for what they did. I just want you guys to know my opinions on this. Sorry this is so long :p
ReplyDeletefuck all of you here, this doesn.t make you even better than them...
ReplyDelete
