Article dump (G-Dragon, T-ara, Se7en)

These are getting kind of redundant so I figured I'd dump them into a single post. I bet you can guess the comments on these now.

Article: G-Dragon takes a proof shot with Jung Sung Ha, collaboration anticipation rises

Source: Sports Chosun via Nate

1. [+343, -120] Can the Big Bang fans please stop saying "Don't hurt our oppas". You guys are acting as if you are the victims. How does it make sense to say don't hurt us when you're the ones that committed all of the crimes and scandals? Is this some kind of competition to see who can be the most psycho?

2. [+240, -49] Jung Sung Ha grew up so well ♥

3. [+224, -97] Handsome ã…Žã…Ž

Article: G-Dragon party, blue hair + golden outfit 'most stand out'

Source: TV report via Nate

1. [+146, -20] Seems like marijuana will haunt G-Dragon for the rest of his career. Although I'm a VIP myself... even if he apologized, the fact that he made a comeback without any period of reflection is something he deserves being criticized for. GD will grow from this. All we have to do is quietly support him. I think that's what a true fan should do.

2. [+92, -20] I think the first best reply is right. I'm a VIP as well. Whenever a new GD article comes up, the comments are nearly all about marijuana... This is an issue that will follow him forever. If he had taken a hiatus of reflection for even just a month, I'm sure he wouldn't be hated to this extent..

3. [+106, -68] Is saying the truth considered hate? I can tell just from GD's interviews that he hasn't learned from his mistakes. You can tell from his lyrics as well because he considers our criticisms of his mistakes as jealousy. (TN: etc, etc, etc, etc bringing up all the other scandals)

Article: T-ara, serious expressions during their Hong Kong interview "We gave up our vacation for work"

Source: TV Report via Nate

1. [+249, -15] Trash ã…‹ when are you guys going to disband ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Seriously have no shame

2. [+234, -11] They come popping out whenever I'm about to forget them... They really don't go away, do they

3. [+218, -11] Dammit, why'd I click on this, my eyes are dirtied now

Article: Se7en takes a proof shot with his hotel gown "My name is written on my gown~"

Source: TV Report via Nate

1. [+65, -12] You best replies guys... He's staying at a hotel because of an overseas concert

2. [+60, -54] I wonder who he's there with?

3. [+50, -46] Park Han Byul is probably showering in the bathroom

The main reason why T-ara still get hate. KKS is really f ing up and keep promoting them instead of just let them have some time off. I think if they took time off, the general reaction wouldn't be this bad.

  5. t-ara determination

  6. ^

they gave up their vacation. Well, but they don't have vacation because KKS never give them it, Chuseok is when idols get free day off and spend it with their parents and family.

But KKS made them gave up... for example, Jiyeon didn't saw her parents for 3 years because KKS won't let her go see her parents.

I doubt that my netizen friend.

  8. Only Korean netizens are butthurt about G-Dragon and T-ara, nobody else. Go to YesAsia which is where most i-fans order their physical copies of material, and look who is in the k-pop best sellers list.

    1. How ignorant are you, Tara and GD rely on their own Korean fans because that's who matters. In the end those Korean fans who will make them or break them so whatever you see in Yeasia or anywhere doesn't mean anything lol

Also Yeasia doesn't reflect every single person.

  9. So funny how netizens complain about seeing T-ara when no one is forcing them to do so. If you hate them so much then stop giving them attention and clicking/commenting on their articles. If no one pays attention to them then they will slowly fade away. All of this hate T-ara has gotten has only made them more popular (but not necessarily more liked obviously). Dumbass netizens...

Mte! Honestly, do k-netizens think that T-ara or GD are gonna stop promoting just because they demand it? No way. T-ara and GD are doing amazingly well with their recent comebacks (both are still in Instiz real time top ten despite all of the new recent comebacks). Haha!

  11. Opinion differs but just because netizens doesnt wanna see or Love T-ara doesnt necessarily mean that I-fans or Queens will feel the same!! and to be honest, I think k-netizens are so butt-hurt that they couldnt make T-ara or Bigbang to disband or either stop their CB and promotions!! Whatever, haters will always hate but that wont affect us!! They both are doing gr8 and rankings on charts have already shown that!! Malaysia showcase will be GRAND success!! Gd's crayon is also doing gr8, it's in top 3!!

  12. I-fans need to stop thinking their opinions hold any water in Korea. Buy all the mp3/albums you want, in the end you have no effect on comebacks.

...and KKS is still overworking T-ara. What else is new?

  13. K-pop is marketed to international markets these days, labels know the really big money isn't in Korea. A good comeback is "nice" but it's not the main game for these people.

    1. Agree. Strike it while it's hot, people said. Kpop have huge popularity currently... though as a Kpop fan myself, I have to say this trend would also fade in the following years (we've been through Jpop and Tpop craze before, Kpop isn't something special). Currently, targeting Asia/US market is their goal (Europe isn't that big market for entertainment actually, but it's prestigious to note). They want money. We give them. Some of you guys complain over $100 concert, we come to $150 fanmeeting without messing around. However, we'll move as quick as this trend goes too. So while it's hot, Kpop companies will continue overwork their artist. Sad, but that's the reality of T-Ara. No matter how much hate you Korean fans throw at them, international fans with different culture will still welcome them as a part of Hallyu wave. And that's exactly what some people here trying to say.

  14. Do international fans still think that their "opinion" clearly matters in Korea?

Seriously some of you people need to learn a thing or two about different cultures and how things work in Korea to stop sounding ignorant.

and how do u know they were the exact same vips? how do u know they were vips in the first place? geez think before u type

  16. Fuck off to all users here saying that International fans dont know korean culture, this and that!! If you people arent happy with International fans then keep your artists to yourselves!! Compared to music market in Korea, World music market is very big!1 It's like comparing Han river with Pacific Ocean. Those people who said I-fans opinion doesnt hold any water in Korea, are you fucking sreious??? If I-fans turned their backs on Kpop then No International tours, Concerts and events!! You who are acting cocky right now wont be able to feed your idols and artists!! I bet all you keyboard warrior of Korea wont be able to feed your artists and you know that so your are sending them abroad!! Dont act like a dick when you send you idols here and better dont say things like" I-fans opinion dont hold any water in Korea"...

You are one of the best eg of K-netizens who is DE-LU-SI-ONAL!!

  17. G-Dragon and T-ara could lose every single Korean fan and it wouldn't matter, they're so well established in other markets that they could tour and release product indefinitely. However most Korean k-pop fans like them too, netizens who leave comments are a very vocal minority. It's like with religious people - the average religious person just worships their god and minds their own business, but it's the tiny minority of extremist fundamentalists with unpleasant opinions who gain attention because they make more noise and fuss, and those people sadly tarnish the reputation of all the others. It's the same with netizens, netizen opinion is a tiny extreme fraction. G-Dragon and T-ara fans should know that their artists are mostly loved in Korea and are doing good business there as well as overseas.

  18. Here's why being liked and popular by K-fans matter. There is not a lot of $ to be made from music itself. It's the commercials and other endorsements that bring them the major $. Did you read how little the artists actually make from selling records and songs?
Yes I-fans can help them sell records and sell concert tickets but how often can you hold these concerts? Are they going to get a major endorsement and appear in major foreign tv like they do in Korea? Very low probability of that happening, esp in Western countries. How did all these I-fans discover their K-pop artist? Why from the K broadcasts in a lot of case. But, if you have no popularity with K-fans, the group's K-broadcast time/exposure is lessened. In some cases, you may have nothing unless your company has the connection/money to get you on some tv shows.
There are other factors but I decided to focus on this one to show how naive it is to disregard the K-fans.
