Whasa confesses to crying over hate comments on her controversial festival performance

Article: Whasa confesses to sobbing at hate comments over her 19+ rated performance... "the hate comments were excessively over the top"

[+1,120] Honestly, what if a man had done such a performance? He would not even be on TV anymore, he'd be in jail

[+1,077] She went too far with it.. especially  at a concert meant for students. She needs to reflect on whether that was appropriate behavior or not.

[+1,033] So who told you to take things that far?

[+587] So why did you cross the line?

[+462] Whasa's move simply crossed the line...!!!

[+366] I really don't think she understands at all how much she crossed the line still... I really liked Whasa but she needs to realize that she's a public figure who influences a lot of people. She makes a ton of money that affords her a lavish life, and yes, she worked hard to earn all of that, but she can't brush off what the public thinks either. I'm a bit disappointed in her after this.

[+235] I don't hate Whasa but there are still some things in our country that are considered to be crossing the line

[+227] To put on a performance of that level, you need to be mentally strong enough to go "whatever" even at tens of thousands of hate comments. You're an adult, you knew that people were going to cringe and feel uncomfortable with it. It's unfair of you to count criticisms as "hate" when it's simply feedback. Yes, you're an adult, but spreading your legs and licking your hand is not something that a lot of people want to see. There's no law that demands any college-aged student is expected to enjoy such a thing. I do agree that the parent organization was out of line for getting involved but you have to respect that not everyone is going to want to see what you did.

[+203] People here would faint if they ever saw Cardi B or Megan perform...
- [+52] Yeah but Cardi B would never perform at a college festival in Korea in the first place~~

[+164] Whasa, just think about this for a second. Imagine if a top level male singer performed an imitation of himself j*cking off on stage, how do you think the audience would react?!

[+127] You can sing any song you want, no one's stopping you... but please don't lick yourself down there in front of an audience again ㅠㅠ You're cool enough as you are with your vocal talent and dancing skills... Whasa fighting, just don't do it again!

[+103] Considering how far your performance crossed the line, the hate comments were not excessive at all

[+102] No one would've cared if this was at an adult rated concert... but you know that college festivals aren't only attended by adults. Anyway, hang on!! ^^;;

[+81] You're not considering at all that maybe you crossed the line?

[+79] She still doesn't understand what she did wrong

[+70] Whasa's charming and I love her confidence but... that performance was dirty. She needs to learn a thing or two from sexy diva Uhm Jung Hwa.

[+77] What do you want us to do about that? You would never have gotten those hate comments if you didn't do it in the first place

[+74] Did she not think this would happen? Anyone could tell that such a performance was going to cause a stir... She's not a child, she knew what she was doing. Her positive image really took a turn after that move.

[+61] So she's not reflecting at all over what she did wrong, she's just blaming the hate comments... and now claims she "doesn't know what to sing anymore?" Yeah... she doesn't get it.

[+46] I don't think she understands what the issue is...

[+25] What does she mean "what song am I allowed to sing, then?" when this was never about her choice of song; you can sing whatever you want;; None of this would've been controversial had she performed it at a 19+ rated concert, but what everyone asked after this was "why necessarily there?" Does she really not get that? Why do you think there are dress codes for certain events? Just like how you're supposed to wear black to a funeral, avoid white to a wedding... sure, these rules are not necessarily the law, but it's what's expected of you, and her performance failed to meet the expectations of her location. That's really selfish of her to think that she should be able to get away with breaking those rules.

[+72] If she's going to read hate comments and cry over them, I don't understand even more why she would go through with such a performance in the first place. Most people who decide to go through with something so provocative do so under the intent of spreading a particular message, but if she just did it for the sake of doing it only to turn around and cry at the hate comments over it, then perhaps she should refrain from doing such performances again in the future. She is sexy and cool enough as it is without having to resort to such things.

[+22] It can't be helped that people are going to either love or hate it.. but that dosen't mean they're wrong for thinking so, it's just a difference in opinion. Even I went "huh?" when I watched the cliip at first ㅋㅋㅋ anyway, you can't please everyone, so find strength~
