[+1,287] Maybe it's because we live in a generation where we're expected to suppress our individual emotions, but where does he think such a rule exists where actors aren't allowed to cry at award shows? His clarification makes no sense and he seems to just be barking up nonsense with no reference to what he previously said.
[+876] There's no rule to award speeches. There's no guideline saying you must only talk about something moving or important to society. She chose to talk about how everyone worked so hard to film something together and became overwhelmed with her emotions, which I'm sure caused her thoughts to blank out for a bit, which is all understandable. I suppose we should all ask actors to come with scripted speeches by his logic? She's not a machine, she's human. She's allowed to express herself in any way she chooses. It's upsetting that old farts like him still exist with their outdated views.
[+646] Dammit, so people aren't even allowed to cry anymore?
[+508] Seems anyone can be a 'culture critic' nowadays
[+466] I don't get it.. Why do you think you're entitled to criticizing another's emotions?
[+508] I guess we all need to think about our age when we decide to cry now ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
[+221] Just another old fart with early onset senility
[+168] He "had no intention of attacking her"? Excuse me~~~ you're the one who called out her name and attacked her. Just because you have a mouth doesn't mean you're allowed to just spew words out of it...
[+111] I'm shocked that someone's even able to think such a thing about someone's speech... zero empathy, or just an old fart?
[+93] Before being a critic of others, perhaps he should work on his own empathy skills. No one is asking for your stupid critiques~
[+192] She was not giving an award lecture... it was an award speech, which she's free to express however she wants.
[+44] Does he think he's in control of his own emotions when he's the one lashing out and attacking others like this? He should worry about himself before critiquing others.
[+47] It's so sad that people aren't even allowed to be as happy as they want anymore... This is one of the joys of watching these award ceremonies, to witness the happiness of their wins.
[+68] Even when people win in the Olympics or the World Cup, they jump up and shout in joy. Emotions are hard to control when you've achieved so much for all your hard work. Why not just share in that happiness? Why find something to critique like this? I hope we all take this as an opportunity to work on empathizing with strangers more.
