BamBam praises JYP for smooth transfer of Got7's name, calls the music industry "thugs" for withholding

On the topic of Got7 moving out of JYP while still retaining the rights to their name, BamBam said, "We bought the rights to the Got7 name so we can do whatever we want with it. JYP was super cooperative with us, and that's why we were able to buy it. A lot of agencies are just thugs, and most won't give you the name even when they gain nothing from holding on to it, which is something I'll never understand. That's why I recognize JYP as a great company." 

1. [+746] No, but really, what do companies gain by keeping the name? Reminds me of the situation with Cube and B2ST.

3. [+186] An agency and their artist are not a family. It's a legal, business relationship. An artist can't claim the name to a group that belongs to the agency. It's nice of JYP to pass over the name but it's wrong of these artists to think that the name legally belongs to them just because they worked under that name for so long. For all legal purposes, that name belongs to the agency no matter what.

If they wanted to act like rich kids, they should've stuck with a rich kid agency like YG ㅡㅡ

[+4] This is funny coming from a group like Got7 that's infamous for how terribly they've been behaving ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ dirty private lives, a leader who s*xually harassed fans, Jackson's CCP support, BamBam macking on Irene and other female idols... They should be grateful they don't have enough fans for these issues to attract more attention and hate. Imagine if NCT had behaved like all of their scandals? They'd be hated on to death.
