SM artists are beginning to receive love calls from other agencies amidst internal drama
Article: SM artists are receiving 'love calls'... "At this rate, only Aespa may be left"

1. [+853, -122] It's probably better for SM to be left with Aespa and to focus on training new talent. SM has way too many older idols keeping their hands in the jar... Take a good look at why Johnny's failed. One of your responsibilities as an older senior is to know when to back down and let your juniors have a turn. It's stupid to keep squeezing out albums that don't sell... I don't get why they allow it.
2. [+469, -86] Not like Aespa's doing that well either, it's funny to even mention them ㅋㅋㅋ every album after their first has flopped, and they're desperately behind all the other groups that have reached the top in that time
3. [+207, -78] SM really only needs Aespa since the rest of their groups are all outdated
4. [+138, -10] But if SM's groups were to sign with other companies... could they retain their uniqueness? I feel like they would've left way before all this drama if money was all that mattered to them. I'd be more concerned with SM losing their position in the industry at the moment.
5. [+52, -1] Kang Ta ㅋㅋ who is love calling that geezer
6. [+54, -21] Am I the only one that thinks SM doesn't even need Kang Ta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, EXO, and Red Velvet?=
- They're all has-been idols, no? Almost in their forties now? More apt to call them middle-aged-dols or uncle-dols now.
- I wouldn't even call Kang Ta and BoA active artists anymore ㅋㅋ
7. [+33, -1] SM's been way too good to them all this time ㅋㅋㅋ they each got solos and all ㅋㅋ
8. [+30, -0] Funny how the SM kingdom is crumbling like this when we all thought they'd last forever
9. [+30, -4] Aespa's also in the beginning stages of becoming has-beens too
10. [+23, -7] Come to think of it, none of SM's groups really have any competitive merit on their own
11. [+21, -2] ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Yeah, no one's going to be making any money off of those groups
12. [+13, -1] Aespa has flopped with everything after 'Next Level'.. they're barely holding on thanks to Karina's popularity
13. [+6, -1] Aespa holds no power in SM... especially with IVE and New Jeans on the market. They've been left behind and were barely even active last year. SM doesn't need anything but to hold on to Red Velvet. Probably their most talented group with the good songs.
14. [+6, -1] Aside from Aespa, all SM has left are old time groups that I doubt will be able to recover their glory days.
15. [+6, -2] The thing about SM groups is that their fans aren't just fans of that one particular group but the whole company. Aespa fans are usually fans of SM as well, so there's no point in dividing up the groups like BoA, Aespa, NCT, and Red Velvet as separate fandoms. They're all fans of one another.
16. [+5, -1] The best bet for SM groups is to just start their own personal agencies. All of them have such a strong SM color to them that I don't think will be easy for other companies to merge with. In the end, these artists are just suffering over a fight at the top that has nothing to do with them.
