1. [+52] Yeah... this wasn't right. Depiction of war is always a sensitive topic, it shouldn't have been touched.
2. [+45] We should not be whining about Japan and China distorting our history... when we also are guilty of it. We have a tendency of depicting our participation in the Vietnam War as heroic when I'm sure a lot of us would put our heads down at the atrocities that our soldiers committed against them. The entire world was asking for peace and rejecting the Vietnam War but Korea still went through with participating in it~~~ It is an embarrassing aspect of our own history.
3. [+35] It is a sensitive topic 😢
4. [+25] Whoever made the mistake, an apology is appropriate here. However, it must be remembered that this is just a drama and not a depiction of real life... Anyway, seems like Vietnam has grown quite vocal these days~~~
5. [+16] Just like how Japan needs to apologize to us, we should also be apologizing to Vietnam
6. [+14] So why did they let their soldiers mask themselves as civilians... that's how they won the war against the US, you can't just act like that didn't happen now 😑
7. [+14] I know that this is a sensitive topic but there have been examples of soldiers cosplaying as civilians as well as civilians who helped hide soldiers. I don't think this depiction would've been seen as controversial if Vietnam was not currently a communist country...
8. [+10] I did go "tsk tsk" at the wording of the scene
9. [+3] Maybe because I visited the Ho Chi Minh war museum and saw what happened but I understand why the Vietnamese are upset over this
10. [+5] Was it so wrong for our country to have helped a country who've done good things for us? Are all of the Korean soldiers who fought with the allied forces war criminals then?
