1. [+1,529, -92] So did they choose to go with an opinion poll because they weren't sure what standards to use for their service perks? This feels wrong. There are so many young men who are fulfilling their duty and service to the country. Do not create a decision that ignores their hard work. This group already has popularity and wealth, do they really need the responsibility of service erased on top of that as well? How is that fair at all? The government needs to keep its hands off of BTS' service issue. They are required to serve by law.

2. [+584, -6] Was an opinion poll necessary?

3. [+597, -37] They have to serve. Are they aiming to further widen the inequality gap by having some serve and some not??

4. [+461, -11] There are national laws set for the military, I did not know that all it took was an opinion poll for those laws to be revoked ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ have we always been so barbaric? ㅋㅋㅋ

5. [+382, -27] Why is an opinion poll even necessary? They're men and they're able-bodied, why are they not serving?

1. [+590, -42] There are men out there serving with a cancerous tumor in their brain, weighing only 30 kg, being sick in some way or the other, forced into public service if they have to... but BTS' service is being decided by a public vote? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Fine, let's say BTS brought honor to our country, but it's not like they donated all of the money they made to our military? They worked to increase their own wealth, how is this fair to the rest of us? I don't care if they don't serve but there better be a fair reason for it.

2. [+188, -11] I thought we were deciding this by fairness and principles?

3. [+186, -19] Why is this even a question? Of course they have to serve!

4. [+81, -2] They became singers because they wanted to make money for themselves. They lucked out by getting as popular as they did, what does any of that have anything to do with their military service?? They should be held to the same standards as everyone else. Also, please be considerate of the feelings of parents whose sons await service. The discrimination is amazing.

5. [+34, -1] They're really turning their exemption perk into a public poll?? So what are they trying to say? That my son had to suffer in the army because he didn't have a job that allowed him to make foreign money??? Such news only makes the parents of army sons who weren't rich enough to get them exemptions feel so empty ㅠㅠ

6. [+28, -0] What is there to poll? Are they Korean men or not? Do they not know what duty is?

7. [+30, -3] They may be stars but they're also Korean men and they have a duty to protect their country

8. [+28, -1] So any man successful in his field of work is being granted exemptions now? From salarymen to entrepreneurs? No, all of them need to serve...

9. [+20, -1] What is this poll for? Does the government not have its own standards? Its own responsibility?

10. [+18, -2] Every citizen of this country is equal in the face of our law. There is no exception. Get rid of exemption perks for sports athletes too.
