1. [+1,146, -18] If a country is deemed a good place for foreigners to live in, it usually means the country is in bad shape. I'd rather our country be a great place to vacation and spend money in but difficult for foreigners to settle down and live in.
2. [+692, -7] I have a hard time believing this list with Mexico coming in at #2. Their country is pretty much lawless...
3. [+611, -12] So foreigners feel it's difficult to settle down here... That's a good thing for us. Why should we care to make our country better for foreigners to settle down in? All that matters is that our own people are living comfortably in our own country. Go anywhere around the world, foreigners will always be discriminated against.
4. [+53, -1] I'm satisfied with our country being deemed comfortable for us Koreans to live in. There aren't a lot of countries in the world that are comfortable specifically for foreigners to settle down in.
5. [+25, -0] The best country is one that prioritizes its own people
6. [+19, -1] Why does it matter that a country is livable for foreigners? Why do foreigners even need to settle down here? If you're here to be a tourist, just do your tours and go back to your country.
7. [+17, -0] The countries that are the most welcoming to foreigners are usually the unsafest
8. [+13, -0] I think it'd be rare for a foreigner to be able to keep up with how competitive actual Korean society is. How many foreigners can have kids, send them to college, and get them jobs in our society? Very few. Most of them end up sending them to international schools before shipping them off to study abroad because it's difficult to compete against actual Korean kids.
9. [+5, -1] A country should never care about how easy it is for foreigners to settle down in. All that matters is that their own people feel comfortable. The more foreigners, the higher the rate of crime!
10. [+4, -0] #40 out of 52 on the list of countries best for foreigners to live in... I'm fine with that. I'd rather we be good for our own people. It's my country, my land.
