1. [+1,266, -42] I don't think the scriptwriter was sane when she wrote this scene. The lead character smiling at a scene of 9/11 terror? It was so random and not logical at all. The writer was not considerate of the feelings of Americans at all..
2. [+542, -28] This is embarrassing.. think about it in a way that we can relate to. Imagine if a foreign drama was covering the Sewol Ferry tragedy and their female character is smiling at the screen just because the male lead is live;;
3. [+331, -16] The scriptwriter needs to resign.. I don't understand how you can be this thoughtless with a scene that will be watched by people all over the world. Why not just feature domestic news footage? That'd be less embarrassing to the foreign audience... As if the ending wasn't already pissing everyone off, now the scriptwriter is just screwing everything over. The scriptwriter basically ignored everything the viewers wanted and produced a drama that only they can understand ㅡㅡ
4. [+259, -14] I'm surprised that this was filmed at all.. no one thought to stop them???
5. [+53, -1] It would've been horrifying still if the news footage had been about the Sewol Ferry and yet the writer chose a completely bigger and more horrific event to paint in such a light manner ㅋㅋ They're crazy
6. [+52, -3] No matter how many times I've rewatched this scene, I did not see the female lead laugh at any scene of terror. It just seemed like she was smiling because she got to see her boyfriend on screen. I think people are reading too into this?? She looked worried at the scene of the terror...
7. [+88, -46] I think people are hating without watching the drama. The male lead is in a situation where he's out reporting on a dangerous field while the female lead is his younger, more naive girlfriend who misses him. She was not laughing at the 9/11 scene at all. I think people are just mad and looking for their next target to hate.
8. [+51, -10] I watched the episode and I thought the situation was well executed. She had not seen her boyfriend for over two months so it wasn't weird to me that she was smiling at that. It's upsetting to me that so many people are developing a bias about this drama because of one scene ㅜㅜ
9. [+35, -0] I'd rather they delete the scene from the drama if it's not an important scene at all. I'm sure people will have different opinions about it but anything that can cause even the slightest of misunderstandings is better off being left out. If it can be offensive to any one person, it's best to cut it..
10. [+31, -1] Would've been better if they had chosen any news footage other than 9/11. It was such a shocking tragedy, something I still can't forget today... Watching the female lead smiling at the scene just because she sees her boyfriend makes me wonder if she's a psychopath?
11. [+119, -90] Please watch the full scene... she was worried for her boyfriend who was at the scene of the tragedy and then happy to see him appear... don't misinterpret it
12. [+28, -0] Can you imagine if a Japanese or Chinese drama had a scene of the Cheonanham or Sewol Ferry tragedy with the main character smiling at the news footage? How would we feel? We need to be more considerate of the feelings of others!
