1. [+734] All things considered, 'Youth of May' is a really well made drama~~~

2. [+578] There are still so many people living in pain because of what happened. Do you really not have anything better to do than to distort the history of 5.18 and sell it to an international audience??

3. [+513] Yeah, this is a bit wrong

4. [+264] The minute they named the character 'Youngcho', everyone should've known to pull out from the drama. F*ck, Youngcho is not some common name. Everyone knows Youngcho unni as the famous democracy activist. And to name a character after her and have her fall in love with a spy? They crossed the line.

5. [+202] Distortion of history is not right..

6. [+133] Take the drama down

7. [+276] I don't get why Korean dramas have been liket his lately. From 'Crash Landing on You' to this... just produce more dramas like 'Goblin', why is this necessary?

8. [+87] There was already so much controversy even before it aired

1. [+253] This needs to be taken off air. Both the producers and the actors are insane for agreeing to this.

2. [+100] This is crazy...

3. [+85] Everyone's calling it a distortion of history but it's only the international fans of the leads that are claiming there is nothing wrong with it and blaming Koreans for being too sensitive ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ amazing of the producers to sell out their own country just to make some money off of international fans

4. [+86] I watched it out of curiosity and they did make it seem as if our country was locking up North Korean spies for no reason.. when it's the North Korean spies who are in the wrong. They totally glamorized the spies. Anyway, I get that the plot's about their love story about it just makes me feel iffy... and not only was it boring but it was also her first time acting so she was really bad and I had to change the channel.

5. [+22] I don't get why such famous people agreed to this type of scenario...

1. [+203] What's most important here is that Black Pink has a lot of foreign fans so if they watch this drama, they're just going to assume that this is how our history went down

2. [+179] This drama is so disgusting and dirty, it's totally a put down of our pro-democracy movement

3. [+50] What's amazing about this is that this drama is getting hate from both sides ㅋㅋㅋㅋ one side for putting down the pro-democracy movement and the other side for glamorizing spies ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

4. [+233] Jung Hae In's ancestors must be hitting their chests in agony up in heaven with their own descendant out here acting like this ㅠ

5. [+7] I can't believe that the activists of this movement are still alive and we have a drama trying to claim that there were spies in the movement

1. [+376] I'm a bit disappointed in Jisoo. As a leader of the K-Pop movement, she needs to be more responsible about what the 'K' entails.

2. [+312] Koreans can at least watch this with the understanding that the history has been distorted within the drama but I doubt the foreigners watching this for Jisoo will have the same context, which is why the producers should've been more careful about this. I don't understand what they were thinking by distorting the history this much...

3. [+152] Can the foreigners please keep quiet...

4. [+37] The drama should just be taken off air at this point..

5. [+26] The writer is the same person who wrote 'Sky Castle', what happened...

Article: 'Puradak' announces they will be taking Jung Hae In's ads off of 'Snowdrop' and halting production support

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+1,619] This is just wrong;; as the descendant of Jung Yak Yong, why would he cast himself in this drama... what will his ancestors who were activists think?...

2. [+795] As a parent myself, I can't stand dramas like this. What will our children learn?! At least 'Puradak' is proving to have a brain. I will be ordering from them a lot in the future.

3. [+656] Jung Hae In was doing so well, why did he have to pick this drama.. ㅡㅜ

4. [+857] Dramas that distort history deserve to be cut out and taken off air

5. [+463] We cannot allow the distortion of our history
