BTS, Black Pink, and Super M start a new trend of releasing music timed to the international market
Article: Why did BTS and Black Pink change their digital release times?

1. [+498, -13] Honestly, how many other Korean groups can survive releasing it at 1 pm for the international market?
2. [+191, -26] Our market's too small for them to make any more money in. It's better for them to match their standards to a bigger market like the American music market and make all their money globally that way. They're already helping with improving our country's image worldwide while paying their taxes diligently. They should deserve special perks like enlistment exemptions so that more talents like them can join the global market. Celebrities have so much influence over the youth, we should be helping them shine more than they are and support them so that we can secure space in the global market.
3. [+127, -4] I hope they make lots of money overseas, earn lots of love, and hit daebak...
4. [+122, -8] I don't care when they release it as long as the songs are good
5. [+40, -5] The domestic market is too small for them so I get that they're focusing and doing well in the international market but I'll be honest in saying that I only really know their names and that's it
6. [+35, -2] I understand Black Pink and BTS sticking to a more international schedule but that Super M or whatever is overdoing it ㅋ why not just give more push to SHINee or EXO, I don't get why SM is trying to stick in a few Chinese kids and banking on every fandom pitching in to help out, but Lee Soo Man needs to start realizing that it's quality over quantity. You can't just take a bunch of talented kids and stick 90s tactics on them. Times have changed.
7. [+22, -0] Back in my day, I always thought the Billboard was a chart that Koreans could never dream of being on, so I'm just very proud now. I hope that we get more Korean groups that rank at the top of the Billboard.
8. [+19, -0] Because they can. Not many Korean groups can release songs at 1 and get away with it. BTS is a global group so it makes sense for them to cater to their global audience.
9. [+23, -6] Sorry to YG but I refuse to buy your content! With Burning Sun yet to be concluded, I heard they still went ahead and built up a huge new building in the midst of it all...
10. [+18, -4] I don't get what Black Pink is doing? Promoting Selena Gomez? And Cardi B this time? And Lady Gaga last time? It's really not that hard for them to land collabs with foreign artists so it's upsetting to see that it seems like they're trying to ride the coattails of others than to showcase their music. They don't have to do that... YG and Universal are strong in their own right. They're supporting Black Pink with all sorts of producers and back up, so of course they should be expected to achieve what they have so far. It's unfair to compare BTS to them.
