Lee Soon Jae issues apology for accusations of abuse made by former manager

This scandal was more of a battle between the manager vs the wife, and the manager vs the company, but the manager used Lee Soon Jae's name for media play hype, even though Lee Soon Jae already apologized and paid for the wrongdoing. I'm not saying Lee Soon Jae is completely innocent in this since he failed to manage those around him but what more should he be expected to do?

Why is this so controversial that he's all over the news when this isn't even a crime about theft or sex crimes? His wife was in the wrong but his manager is also malicious for recording everything and making a fuss out of every little thing.
