Is Niziu classified as K-Pop or J-Pop?

1. [+104, -11] This makes me swear because it's not just about localization. It's about the theft of all the K-Pop know-hows our industry has built.

3. [+48, -2] This group is owned by Sony, they shouldn't be classified as K-Pop. JYP basically gave all their premiums away for royalties. I'm speechless.
4. [+46, -9] JYP should worry about their own agencies. I get that we're in a new global generation but this isn't it... They're basically the Japanese version of Twice, no? BTS is amazing for not having any foreign members!
5. [+28, -2] They're not JYP's Niziu but Sony Music's Niziu. Sony Music hired Park Jin Young for the training and casting process. International media recognize them as J-Pop idols and it bothers me to see them regarded as the localization of K-Pop. Park Jin Young can walk away with royalties while Sony Music builds the foundation for J-Pop overseas. They're basically setting up competition for K-Pop.
6. [+18, -0] K-Pop is one of our strongest markets right now so what's the point in selling all of our know-hows to another market? What makes this any different than when we sold all of our tools to Japan during the period of the Three States? JYP betrayed Korea with this. Japan is going to take this and run with it and barely give credit to us when they get far enough with it.

People in the rest of the world is going to consider this J-Pop since they're a Japanese group singing in Japanese~~ Just because you the Vietnamese soccer team has a Korean coach does not make them a Korean team... they're still a Vietnamese team!!
8. [+16, -1] Japanese fans are actually taking issue with Niziu's thumbnails having Korean on them. They're totally going crazy saying J-Pop is out to conquer the world, and foreign K-Pop YouTube reaction channels who never even cared about J-Pop before are checking out Niziu... while Japanese fans are running around correcting everyone saying they're J-Pop, not a K-Pop group.
