They should instead be asking for Hwang Minhyun to open his own separate fandom. Are his fans really acting like they're the one being shafted in all of this?

You fans are the ones who said you wouldn't be supporting the group and kept demanding that he go solo, and now you're acting like we're making it hard for Minhyun? If we open the fandom to a 3rd round right now, all the akgaes who have been making fun of the other members will join the fandom and completely take it over. Wouldn't you want to separate them with a 2.5 round instead? You should be even grateful that we're considering a 2.5 round.
