Their main job is to show happiness and aegyo so they're behind professionally when it comes to dancing and singing. They seem to be wanting a piece of the K-Pop pie but for idols who have been working for 7- years, their skills are barely up to par with our Korean minors who are still trainees...

5. [+31, -4] Hallyu isn't just in Japan right now, it's worldwide. The Japanese probably think it's a minority of the Japanese who are into K-Pop but it's not, tsk tsk.

Taki, Yappi, Kinki Kids, SMAP, etc. They never promoted in Korea but they already had fanclubs here and everything. Then Korean idols started growing at a super fast rate with manhwa-like visuals, tall heights, amazing bodies, and multi-talented in singing and acting... It's going to be hard for Japanese idols to ever catch back up.
