1. [+1,397, -57] Truly amazing... I don't think it'd be an exaggeration to say that BTS is writing new history. I was even more surprised to see how diverse the ages of their fans are ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I saw a lot in their thirties and forties
2. [+1,103, -43] BTS showing their class from the New Year. Let's hit even bigger daebak this year. BTS fighting!~
3. [+1,043, -43] Hopefully K-Pop is revived this year thanks to BTS
4. [+99, -2] This is an American New Year show with a hundred million viewers ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
5. [+96, -2] This stage got them #1 on Google trends! #2 was Britney Spears! BTS is truly amazing!
6. [+74, -1] Please put aside your idol bias for a second and show some support for BTS as they continue to improve and pave their path. They write their own music and pull off live performances with big dance moves and they give back on the popularity they receive by being a positive influence in society through charity campaigns.
7. [+62, -3] This is a bit different compared to Psy's American advancement. Not trying to put Psy down but Psy lucked into his daebak without looking for it (and appealed to the audience by being bizarre and humorous), which made it a flash in the pan type of success. BTS, on the other hand, is achieving this as a result of working from the bottom up through visuals, skills, and experience. They have longterm potential in America, Europe and everywhere else.
8. [+56, -1] It makes me so proud to know that they're in a country that is known for looking down on Asians
9. [+55, -2] This is my first time becoming an idol fan in my late twenties since TVXQ. They're an amazing group. I fell for them immediately and watched everything on YouTube ㅎㅎ Their skills are amazing but their love for their fans is just as big.
10. [+55, -1] I see a lot of comments comparing them to Psy... and while what Psy achieved is amazing in its own right, his success was more off of Americans finding him funny whereas BTS is actually seen as cool and has girls shrieking over them. What's important to note is that American teens are just as self conscious and sensitive as Korean teens are and yet they dance to BTS songs at their school performances. If BTS was seen as something funny, they obviously wouldn't copy them... they're copying them because BTS is seen as cool. Another cool thing to note is that women of all ages are into BTS. There are older women who send their kids off to school and meet up with other fans to fangirl over BTS videos. What BTS is creating right now isn't anything normal, and definitely not something that Psy achieved back then.
11. [+54, -1] I'm more proud of them than Psy. Obviously Psy took the comedy route but BTS actually has foreign male fans and I don't even know why but black men and Hispanic men are into them too. If you look on YouTube, there's oddly a number of black hyungs who go crazy for BTS~~
12. [+50, -1] BTS is truly bringing good to Korea's name. Think about it, they were the second stage leading up to the ball drop. They were even the most searched after the show ended. What singer has achieved this much!
