2017 Melon Music Awards daesang winners: follow up

1. [+372, -49] I don't understand why EXO won. Probably because they have a lot of fans. They don't have any impact.

Awards are supposed to honor the person, not make them feel embarrassed. I understand that EXO did well and their fans worked hard for this but no one can deny all that BTS achieved this year under their small agency. I always thought all idols were the same and that they were never destined for careers past Asia but BTS broke that bias for me. They achieved what no other larger agency could. We should be congratulating and applauding them with a reward, not stealing their award away from them. The song of the year shouldn't be 'Spring Day' either. I'm sure people will disagree no matter who these awards go to but it's unfair to break the efforts that BTS have put in this year. ...

[+31, -3] Melon probably faced a dilemma with having to give EXO a daesang but not being able to give them album of the year since that went to IU, which leaves artist and song of the year... giving them artist will get Melon less hate so they went with that. Too bad their plan backfired and now both sides are getting more hate instead, tsk.

11. [+22, -4] Daesang should've gone to Yoon Jong Shin, not EXO. This is why people are always saying pop music is failing.
