BTS breaks WG's record on the Billboard 100

1. [+315, -117] WG's record was made by basically selling their CDs for $1 when bought with merchandise at a children's clothing store; it's an embarrassing record. BTS earned their points through iTunes and YouTube and radio charts to make the climb up from 85th to 67th.

2. [+285, -91] Cam we please just admit that they're popular now. At least they didn't use any schemes like WG did where they dumped their CDs all at once to media play and land on the charts fast.

3. [+213, -84] The only 21st century Asian artist with the highest rank on the Billboard was Charice from the Philippines (44th as of May 2009). Park Jin Young lied about his media play about WG being the first Asian artist to make it but Charice is actually the record holder for Asians.

4. [+47, -6] The HOT 100? Not just the world chart? I've been hearing about how popular BTS is but I had no idea it was to this level. They pretty much hit the highest record of all the male idols.

8. [+20, -5] I used to think they were just an idol group with a lot of fans but after seeing them more on varieties, I can see why they're popular internationally too. For how long it's been since they've debuted, they still hang out mostly in their practice room... and they held back on varieties all this time to be recognized for their talent first. Their mentality seems different from most idols these days.
