1. [+474, -10] So many idols are co-composers so I was surprised to hear that Jinyoung is a solo composer. I don't know much about him but he must be immensely talented.

2. [+440, -34] Other than him, a bunch of the other idols are just co-composers who fiddle around by sampling foreign songs. You can pretty much assume that he's really the only real idol composer and lyricist out of all of them.

6. [+25, -1] I went to go look him up in the copyright registry and he really does have a lot of solo songs (his registry is 10001319). Because the other comment mentioned GD (W0726200), Zico (10000005), and Junhyung (W1041800), I checked them too but they have maybe one solo composition out of 20-30 songs. They have a lot of songs but they're mostly co-compositions, even less than IU (who's also 10000992). Not that co-compositions are bad or anything.

[+23, -2] I honestly think you have to make the entire song from start to finish on your own to say that you're a composer unlike kids like GD who take beats and melodies made by others and just throw some lyrics on them of them. You can't call yourself a real composer with that. There's a huge difference between drawing a painting on a white canvas and coloring in a sketch drawn by someone else.

8. [+20, -0] He even does the arrangements himself so he pretty much takes home all the income ㅋ now that's true talent. The other so-called idol composers have pros handling all the hard stuff for them.
